finished Some beats I made. Hip Hop Jazzy
Garrett Williamson replied to datfootdive's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Both are really cool. The Space Dandy one is really sexy. Nice work. Keep going at it! You've got something going dude. Do stuff even more original by combining inspirations and just keep practicing. Add some more variation and just get into it. You've got some great potential man. The more you do it, the better you'll get. -

dude sweet! it's available for USA stores, right? Haven't checked. The link leads me to a European version cuz the price is in pounds. -
that's how we all were feeling with Captain Falcon. I think it'll be ok, but if he's not there everyone may have to kill Nintendo I love how many hot female characters they're including in this game just sayin

I don't mean "let's talk about how the music will be" if I caused confusion. I simply meant "let's get on to music." I was simply saying let's worry more about remixers and eventually the WIP's they send in (at some point hahaha). But I'm saying artwork should probably be the lowest of your priorities and then the title isn't super duper important right now either. The most important factor is getting remixers right now and then beginning the deadlines for WIP's.

finished Sonic 2 - Chemical Lounge Zone

Ok, so this is actually really cool. The snare/clap is compressed out of the mix a little much so I'm not getting much of that. Also, I feel like there could generally be a bit more bass in the mix. A bit more in the low end. That bass is pretty freaking awesome. My one other critique is that at 1:55 and then again at 2:56 and so forth, that section with the ¼ note hits should probably some how be made a lot punchier. Maybe add in more punchy instruments there to really make that hit nice and punchy. Everything else about this is really sexy. -
oooohhh well that sucks cuz he's a beast in the Melee
-
I'm not quite sure I understand the term "Lord" in this context. He was by far my favorite in Melee and most of my friends' favorite.

What Thalzon said. MJ had a part in the music of mainly Sonic 3, but beyond that, part of Sonic's design was actually based on Michael Jackson: his shoes. Sonic's shoes were a mix of Michael Jackson's shoes and Santa Clause, believe it or not. And yes Salluz, Sonic is in Smash Bros, hahahaha For me, more than Mewtwo, freaking Roy. Where the friggity frak is Roy?

even that makes me happy. Slender or Resident Evil (which are both more just noise) definitely would not be what I would call happy, though.
-
this is very true. video game music in general just makes me happy
-
Anything Mario, Sonic, or Zelda always makes me really happy.

Well then that would explain it. Again, I haven't read the manga (I don't really read manga), so I wouldn't know.

It's anime-style. I think it counts. A game, huh? Never have watched Legend of Korra but that could be interesting. My only thing is that this first episode is extremely similar to the original first episode and so I just am hoping this is more of just a starting point and they don't stay too similar to the original series. I want something original, ya know? I heard it's based more on the manga so I'm assuming that means it'll be a bit different. What I did like is that they made things a tad bit more clear in Crystal compared to the original first episode. But hey, it's the first episode. There's a lot to go. Hahahaha
