  1. Hahahaha valid point. As for Other M, makes sense, fans often just want the same bs over and over again with a different number on the box. Thus the success of CoD. Which is ridiculous. However, yeah, with the storyline... it would've worked if it wasn't supposed to connect at all. But it was supposed to connect and it just didn't completely work. Like, it did, but it wasn't executed completely correctly. It's not as big a mistake as (using my example from earlier) Sonic '06 was, but there were definitely some mistakes in there. There were some critiques like "Samus runs like there's no weight to her suit" and while part of me agrees, part of me is also like "who cares? I still feel the power and ability when playing as her, and it's a cool new little thing." The gameplay was honestly really neat. I think this all would make sense on a Wii thread or Metroid thread, though, would it not? (wow, the ADD kid is trying to get back on track??) Man, you and your PS4. I thought this was the Wii U thread.
  2. Which is kinda pathetic. You would think the other way around but obviously not, from experience and from knowing people who have had this experience.
  3. lol does she enjoy that or do *you* enjoy that. I feel like my girlfriend would demand to play even if she was sick. Or she'd just want to watch a movie. But she's a gamer. So maybe. Who knows. Yay. My A.D.D. is really up there today as you probably notice. But yeah, I remember this situation. I found more of an advantage just being able to play my game when someone else wanted to use the tv, and of course that was kinda part of the idea of making the gamepad in the first place. That concept was advertised in all the earlier advertisements for the game. Also, you like Other M? I happen to like that game despite the fact there's no way to really defend that it wasn't a good Metroid game comparatively and according to what everyone else thinks, but hey, I happened to like it. It's kinda like enjoying Sonic '06 despite knowing the game is truly awful. Except I don't like Sonic '06.
  4. I mean, that can be true, but you say "mega successful" and I mean if we're talking about someone like Justin Timberlake, as long as people like them don't blow all their money on everything existing, they've basically got enough money to last them the rest of their life. Just sayin'. Being a studio/session musician (whatever you want to call it) still works as a living. My father still does that and while he's not rich or anything, it definitely still works. He produces, drums on, and mixes stuff and although most of the music is unfortunately pretty poopy nowadays compared to like a decade ago or earlier, he still can make a living doing it. However, trying to make a living being an artist is a lot harder to do. You've got to gain some pretty freaking good success for that to work out for you. Even just being moderately successful is not enough to depend on nowadays. I'm not sure it ever was, but heck, I'm pretty young, I wouldn't know. Yeah, anyway. That's sort of going off-topic considering my lovely A.D.D.
  5. Here, let me repeat what I said earlier and emphasize on something. Unless you're a successful artist, this really can't be done as a living. It sucks, but yeah, that's how it is. If you can gain some success doing it, then I think it'd probably work. I can't guarantee that, but if the money coming in is pretty solid and will keep you alive, then I think there's a possibility there. But everyone here is going by if it gets you any money or not. From a guy who isn't making and selling albums for a living, this is all I have to say: It's fun. Way more fun than posting random stuff on SoundCloud. It's a crapload of fun. Maybe it isn't fun for everyone, but I freaking love it. That is all.
  6. I agree with everything everyone has said, but I also want to add that honestly there's just a magic to it. I'm about to finish my second large album project and there's almost an excitement to it and when you're really determined and you love it, it is so much cooler than just posting random stuff on SoundCloud. The experience is way cooler and bigger and special. Honestly, you remember it if you really put your heart and mind into it. But it really has to be something of some importance to you. You have to be committed to doing it. And I love it. I'll keep doing it. I keep getting more and more busy, so if I begin another album project, I may not have it done for another 3 to 4 years. But nevertheless, it's really way more fun and a lot cooler to sell a full album on iTunes or CD Baby or bandcamp. And it's only cooler when you truly care about it and you really get into it, even if it takes you years, like all of my projects have been.
  7. I just got Super Mario 3D World recently and I am good to go. Honestly, SM3DW might possibly be the best game I've played in a couple years. It's a tad bit too easy, but it's a really amazing game.
  8. That game is something like 14 or 15 years older than me, I don't think I played it. I remember seeing stuff for it and immediately realizing why it's considerably the most infamous game in history and how it contributed to the video game crash of 1983. I don't like unfair challenges. Those are definitely super unfair challenges.
  9. I know. I'm just bringing it up since we're still on the mono-related subject.
  10. I suppose since this isn't like a ligit game and rather a mod, it's possible it could be in mono. But when was the last time music for a game was in stereo? Really. Often games have a mono option, but just about if not every game by default is in stereo. I highly doubt this is the case, but since this is a mod and not an actual ligit game, I'll stay open to the idea. The New Super Mario Bros. Wii mod is in stereo, though. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
  11. If Argle's anything like me, I'm pretty sure that was a joke. I read it as a joke, anyway.
  12. Let me know what they tell you because I'm also doing at least one track for them and I'd like to know what I'm dealing with here.
  13. That's odd. I'm doing a track for Project M as well, but I haven't heard any of this from any of the directors/administrators, so this is new to me. Would love to hear some feedback on this.
  14. He probably deserved a freaking raise. I bet Bungie's the stupid ones here. You have to fire someone like that for really good reasons.
  15. Yeah, in fact, I sorta skipped around in Season 2. Not only was it kinda stupid, it was kinda boring too. And maybe I'm just really sensitive, but honestly considering the whole entire first season, the last or maybe second-to-last episode in season 2 (the molesting scene) was completely unnecessary and random and basically didn't even seem like something to put in SAO. It was going way overboard. Anyway, I think I'm going to go look into Fairy Tail now, I think Celtic music sold it for me. My girlfriend was like "so you'd watch it... just for the theme." "If it's a good song, then yeah." Oh yeah, that's one other thing about SAO. SAO's season 1 theme was freaking epic. SAO's season 2 theme was really disappointing and poopy. Same with the season 2 credits song. I just bought the theme of season 1. That was actually my very first purchase of a J-Pop song, cuz I never really got into J-Pop like many have apparently hahaha Does anyone else think "Crossing Field" (the intro theme of SAO season 1) sounds a lot like Sonic? Specifically something from Sonic Adventure 2? More specifically like "Live and Learn"?
  16. It's near the end of season 2. It's not really rape. It's getting there, but it doesn't quite reach the hentai level. It's when those two weird creatures catch Asuna trying to escape and they start messing with her. And this is why I didn't like season 2. It seemed like quite a few characters just wanted to molest Asuna. Ha.
  17. Ooooo, Celtic music! Dang, might have to do this now...
  18. SAO is great. Well, more of the first season, personally. Really didn't like the second season. We went from a badass Asuna to a helpless fairy Asuna who's trapped in a parlor owned by a pervert that just wants to touch her boobs. Yeah I thought that was sorta bs. My girlfriend is freaking out because Fairy Tail just popped back up again. Never got into Fairy Tail. Any good?
