  1. Not yet. Haven't been able to talk to pokemoneinstein. I've been fairly busy and will be up until around summertime when it'll begin to settle down a bit. I'm still planning on making this happen, but for the moment I'm not digging myself into it because I've got quite a few other things I need to take care of first. I'm hoping everyone is still interested in this; I'd rather it not die out again.
  2. I used to be obsessed with cartooning... never really lost interest... just stopped doing it. Look at this stuff I drew within either the past month or three years lol: http://instagram.com/p/kSIeNbB190/ http://instagram.com/p/kSN3nLh1z3/ Maybe I'll post more in the future.
  3. People get away with it all the time, that's for sure. It's constantly used in the background of video game shows on YouTube, for instance, which normally make at least a bit of money. YouTube doesn't get on to you about that like it does if you were to use music by say the Foo Fighters. And I don't really think you can prove you either bought it or you didn't buy it that easily either, but that's really debatable since this would be arguably the same situation with pop music. I think I feel a bit worse about doing any of that stuff if it's being sold online officially, but honestly that's no different than using it by ripping it from a game or finding it online free. SEGA seems to support SOAH City, a site that has a buttload of music from Sonic games. I honestly think it's fine.
  4. Well this was super helpful, along with all the responses after it. Thanks everyone and WillRock for beginning this thread, hahahahaha
  5. This interests me quite a bit. Is scripting that important? I always thought of it as an additional thing that isn't necessarily required. If it is, though, I'd love to learn more about this as well because composing for games is something I often am interested in.
  6. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be offensive Just found it sort of funny. Not intending to be disrespectful of anyone, I'm just an extremely sarcastic person with a seriously dry sense of humor which doesn't normally come out correctly through text. I apologize.
  7. well this just goes to show that "late 2013" most certainly was about half a year off. hahahaha
  8. lol Brawl online I sorta forgot it existed cuz it didn't work
  9. crap. someone got to this before me. this honestly was a tiny bit heartbreaking. Mario Kart Wii was the only game worth playing online on the Wii, because it actually worked. what's more, it was actually a buttload of fun. I think it's a bit too early. they probably could've gone one more year. the first seriously wi-fi heavy games started releasing in 2008, which was about 6 years ago. I think they could've gone for at least one more year. it would've been nice if it all could've lasted 10 years, but by the 10 year mark, maybe no one would be using it anymore and the price to keep it going would just be too high or maybe just an annoyance.
  10. Thanks! Glad to hear it! EDIT: I forgot to note something very important. XPRTNovice appears on this track with a sweet sax solo.
  11. Hey there. Thought I'd share this with everyone. Prior to the release of my big project (hopefully to release by May or early June), I am releasing three singles. Here is the first of the three, "Terminate". CD Baby iTunes Currently it's $0.69 on CD Baby but only for a little bit of time, so if you like what you're hearing, get the single before it's back up to $0.99 again! Also, XPRTNovice appears on this track with an awesome sax solo.
  12. Hi there SupX. It's your birthday. So happy birthday. Yay.
  13. yeah personally I think there was a lot of the same electronic stuff going on in this record, but I liked it. I think Project Chaos has just set some high standards for just about everybody now, and Sonic Retro is really hard to please when it comes to ocremix. A lot of them didn't even like Project Chaos either. Most of them for that matter. personally, Project Chaos is still my favorite Sonic project. But the new electronic sound going on in this project is something I seriously enjoy, especially with ToN's track and Kruai's track.
  14. I think the largest reason is because I've been with Sonic Retro longer than I've been with ocremix. Yeah, shoot me. So their hating Sonic remixes is nothing new to me, and naturally I just happen to agree with some of the stuff they say, positive or negative. Some of their points I believe are entirely valid, while others I definitely do not think are. Like for example, when they claimed ocremix is just full of preset loops that run behind some game melody. That's something I definitely don't agree with; we all put work into our mixes and presets are probably slim to none. It's just the fact that if I really wanted to, I could've easily bashed around a lot of songs I didn't like on the project, but I decided to not say anything because for one, I think I was afraid of getting kicked out, and for two, it's not my right to do that. I'm not the director. So instead I stupidly went and said some crap at Sonic Retro. I should've known better. Lots of those comments were simply made for entertainment. Most were true, a couple were secretly jokes to see what people's reactions would be on Sonic Retro. Anyway, yeah. I think I'm done here. I've had my say. Hopefully that's all. I'm probably gonna end up saying something else anyway.
  15. Hi, I happened to notice this was getting a lot of comments. Most of it being about the bs I said at Sonic Retro. Personally, I both loved and had issues with the album. I apologize for being a dick and keeping it secret. I just didn't want to try and act like the boss when that was entirely SuperiorX's thing. I don't like to try and take over when I really don't have the right to do so. I don't remember exactly what I had said, but there are definitely some tracks on here that have by far become my favorite tracks in ocremix history, whereas others I seriously did not like. I'm not going to name any here, but yeah, I personally had some issues with some. It probably came out the wrong way there... I have a tendency to try and fit with the mood of the conversation to keep from having some outrage happening. It's a problem, and I apologize. DiGi, I'm afraid I've offended you, and I feel pretty crappy about it. The honest truth is, I really do enjoy your vocals and that Stardust Speedway remix was great. I will be honest, "OverClocked ReMix Assembled" is a bit on the cheesy side, but I let it by because I genuinely loved that remix. The "LOLing this statement" was clearly pretty mean and I can't really defend it. It wasn't really my attempt at totally calling you a horrible rapper, because I don't think so. It was a funny statement to me. I'm not lying when I say I enjoy your vocals. I totally was a dickhead. I apologize. I'm sorry, this was totally a "talking-behind-their-back" move and I shouldn't have done that. I'm still getting used to the fact this honestly has gained me a slight bit of attention and there are actually people out there watching me. I shouldn't be talking behind people's back anyway. That's just rude and unkind. I wouldn't like it if someone did it to me, so I shouldn't be doing it to anyone else. So again, I apologize for my behavior and what I said. I was clearly wrong.
  16. appearances of characters look awful. Knuckles is ridiculous. game and show look fairly good. show looks a bit cheesy, though, but that's a given. it's Sonic, and this is Cartoon Network, and it's a cartoon tv show. here. here's a 5 minute video of me talking about this show and game. http://youtu.be/aBLLBDQc9eU
  17. I hardly know Punch Out and I'm honestly super surprised by this, but heck, he looks stellar.
  18. Oh come on. I love everything happy and nice. That's my favorite stuff. Super excited about MK8 and Smash Bros. 4. I really wanna get 3D World but I literally can't use any of my money right now as it's all going toward being wasted on my new album. Heh. I just love wasting my money.
  19. because I enjoy making older stuff sound newer while giving it a brand new arrangement. and older songs normally are the more catchy ones and more entertaining to play with. for instance, I like sampling a lot of stuff. older tracks are more fun to sample. granted, I can't get that stuff past the judges, that stuff would normally go to SoundCloud. I got by with "Timekeeper", though.
  20. why is this not being spoken of? because news. let's say there's a giant massacre in Iraq or Justin Bieber gets in a car accident. guess which one will be covered most. yep, Justin Bieber. why? because more idiots are interested in that shiz than our actual world. that'll get more interest and probably give news companies more money. news, everyone.
  21. yeah... unfortunately we won't be getting anything in. I don't know if Jordanius has reported anything, but all three of us are just too busy right now. I still am wanting to do it, though, but I probably won't be able to get around it til around May and I don't know what Jordan and Dom are up to; I just know Jordan is super busy right now too.
  22. when there's English dubs of a Japanese anime, it's normally pretty cheesy. so this isn't cheesy? can I play this game and not feel a bit embarrassed about any cutscenes? I've been hearing this is a great game.
