  1. Jesus Christ man, I thought you meant a Stradivarius violin split. Don't give me heart palpitations, there's only 6 of the things in the world that I know of.
  2. A salute to the fallen then. Rest in peace Reuben, your music lives on.
  3. Why the hell did someone revive THIS year old thread, of all things?
  4. This review thread got linked from somewhere and I just read the whole thing. This is flat out one of my favorite mixes ever posted on this site. I'd love to hear from you again.
  5. No love for David Hayter? I love David Hayter.
  6. Define long version, my MP3 is 7:15 long.
  7. Basically, the whole program is designed to work like a notebook, so when you fill a page, you create a new one and keep writing. The biggest advantage is that you can click anywhere on the work area and what you type will be put into separate textboxes for each place you click. Then you can take your boxes of text, either during or after a lecture, and drag them around and put arrows between them to create flowcharts, reference rabbit trails without breaking the flow of the main document, throw web addresses in, etc. Basically, it's like a Word document, but you can move all the sections around to make much more sense visually. It's excellent. Anyhow, since we're getting consistently off topic here, should we just make a OneNote thread in OffTop?
  8. You may not be horribly bothered by Bluefox because you don't spend any time in #ocremix. He pretty much made all his enemies there.
  9. Hey Raptor, we share a birthday. Cool. Also, are you the same Raptor that did the Metal Gear Awesome videos? Because they're fucking hilarious.
  10. 42. We know the answer, it's the ultimate question we're trying to work out here.
  11. OneNote saved my college career. Now, since I don't know jack about the topic at hand, I'll leave.
  12. Probably not, his ass is delicious. Unfortunately, unless someone IP bans him or just plain shoots him, it won't prevent him from coming back with a different name.
  13. DS has angries. Although in his defense it was an incredibly insensitive thing to say. Also, this thread was totally worth it if it even got Bluefox temp-banned and not all-banned.
  14. Right, I know it's Don Quixote, but I definitely see a face on the windmill in the foreground, formed out of the two men and their horses. That's while sober. I don't see how it could be anything but deliberate, but I was hoping you might have inside information.
  15. Yeah, DS, I know. I was just explaining that I was coming from the judeo-Christian standpoint, in other words, everybody's right, at least in this context. As soon as Suzu quits the 'roids, I think we can all pretty much go on being happy and bashing the project leaders for their personal preferences with regards to otic aesthetics again.
  16. Sonic and scripture go together like Reese's Pieces and beer. Which is to say VERY badly.
  17. On the contrary, it would seem to depend on your reference material. Genesis 22 Abraham Tested 1 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied. 2 Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about." 3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you." 6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, 7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" 8 Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together. 9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied. 12 "Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son." 13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram [a] caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided." I dare say mine is somewhat more well known.
  18. That leaves them a lot of breathing room, since Isaac was the one that nearly got sacrificed. Ass. Sir Nuts, is your signature SUPPOSED to look like a stylized face on a tree, AS WELL as two men leaning up against a windmill? Because it totally does to me.
  19. As long as it's directly above you.
  20. Since I'm not being given what I REALLY want, which is permission to hack through hordes of humanity with an enormous double bitted axe, the hadouken, definitely. It would allow me to rip through crowds of meatbags with almost Gauntlet-like efficiency.
  21. Slightly off topic, but I've been wondering about something much like this for about a week now. I know studies of the effect of music on people have been done, but has there ever been any extensive scientific study on how certain types of music affect certain parts of the brain? For example, does Beethoven stimulate feelings of happiness, serotonin release, right brain activity? On the other hand, does Metallica stimulate fight or flight responses and adrenaline rush? Being in the medical field I'd be really interested to see how different music, waveforms, and tones affect the human body and nervous system.
  22. Oh. Right then, I take it all back. Except the part where the new cover art is beautiful and I need to buy this game.
  23. It's a spin because they said the new covers were to "Better reflect the artistic nature of the game," when they should have said the new covers were to "Replace the screwup from our case art designer who didn't have the original files and pulled everything off IGN to make the new cover." Not something I'll lose any sleep over, and you're absolutely right, the new covers are a.) free bonus stuff, and b.) absolutely gorgeous. But I'm all about honesty in the printed word. In other news, I'm pretty certain this is the most gorgeously beautiful game (in cel-shaded style) that I have EVER seen, and I must own it.
  24. The only thing I find somewhat strange about the two new covers is that there's absolutely no game info or branding on them. Normally that wouldn't bother me even slightly, but I would at least like to have the name on the spine when I slip it into a DVD case.
  25. "To better reflect the artistic nature of the game, we're proud to offer you new art for the outside of the box." I lold. Seriously though, the new alt box art is pretty hawt.
