Snarbolax? Did you ring the bell when he was near it?--- Well, the CE market was a pleasant surprise. I bought some energy yesterday to finally make my sunset duster. Now I just need the helmet (hood) and sword to get T3 unlocked.

Zero Punctuation (Hilarious) Game Reviews
Thylacine replied to sephfire's topic in General Discussion
??? Last week was the Witcher 2 (which I can't get a link for because my computer isn't loading the Escapist - Did Lulzboat attack again?). He hasn't done an E3 video this year. He only did a write-up on Extra Punctuation. And if he does do it, it might get postponed another week because everyone will be wanting DNF (which should be a fantastic review). -
Another question. Are you concurrently "running" each album? Like, has work started on FIRE even though WATER is still in development? I don't know what kind of artist overlap there is, so I don't know how possible it would be to do this.

Heh, I got a Steam account not too long ago. I'm planning on redownloading it tonight so it'll be in my Steam listing. I really need to figure out how to get Steam to accept my computer games (Guild Wars is still sitting alongside my Steam icon, and I'd like to keep my desktop tidier). My achievements will transfer, yes? If not, then screw Steam and I'll keep playing it separate.

Okay, problem solved. The latest update guarantees that tiers don't have two of the same element. So enjoy your Sapphire Rook electrotherapy - you ain't seeing it for the foreseeable future. Slimes on the second tier have changed their appearance, and do piercing damage now (which fits their resistance to it, really).

She was 32 in SCIV, meaning she'll be 49 in this game's timeline (contrast to Sophitia's 42). PriZm is imagining Soul Calibur VI.That's still not that old, though. The dominatrix thing would start to cross the comfort line, but that changes her from creepy elder to potential cougar. I think a fair number of guys nowadays would be comfortable with that. Ivy always struck me as the most mature woman in that series, anyway, so I never really wondered if her outfit fit her age. Her coming back wouldn't be a blight upon mine eyes any more than it currently is.

Because it's a little ridiculous for these characters to have to defeat the same damn sword every 2-3 years when they supposedly have done it multiple times at this point? (Or they wanted to shake up the roster somewhat because the series was starting to stagnate.)

Wouldn't Kilik be in bounds as a player still? Even if he were in his 40s or 50s, he would still be athletic enough to use the staff. Mitsurugi is still in the game, after all. Yunsung would be the only one I would argue against because his fighting style is highly dependent on his flexibility, and people who are gymnastically fit young in their lives tend to last a bit longer. And, controversial as it may be to say this, men tend to remain "attractive" longer (interpret that however you wish). It's a double standard.

I wasn't even aware Square-Enix was involved with Dead Island (Wiki page says they're distributors, not publishers).I've always wondered if they would try to remake Rad Racer. But pointless speculation aside, do we know the company that's actually doing the remake? Is it Squeenix or is it someone else? Konami, Capcom, the big three - there are a lot of candidates for remakes.

I don't want to see an all-anything gate. I just threw Jelly out there because it seems like it would be a lot less annoying than all-shock. (This is coming from someone whose primary weapon does jack squat against Jelly enemies - shock can go die in a fire, which is also a better status ailment than shock because it doesn't interrupt shield with its side-effect.) I'm saving my minerals for the Master Miner achievement. I don't know if the mineral contributions accumulate or not, and I don't desperately need the sorry amount of pennies I get from the donations. But I'll keep that in mind. I can handle shock as long as I don't get overwhelmed by enemies (so no soloing or groups that go "lets do challenge gate ill pay LOL").

I am starting to look around at the areas I've ignored since Snarbolax made the scene. So, the Sapphire Rook... Seriously? ALL Shock levels? I was upset about two or three consecutive symbols. Now, we've got the most annoying status ailment on EVERY LEVEL of a dungeon. It's not even all jellies that would at least result in a boss on T2. To conclude,

I just got the Spine Cone. It's not anything special - it's pretty much a proto bomb with piercing damage. Unfortunately, I have a bewildering attraction to pine cones, so going without this item just seemed wrong. Now I have an awesome item! Anyone opt for the shield or sword? Or pass on Snarbolax goodies altogether? (I'd go for all three, but I'm already tired of doing runs there - those T1 kids can be exhausting.)
-
Depends on which enemies you'd be fighting more. Antigua and its forms do piercing damage (fantastic against beasts and fiends, but not so much on constructs and slimes), and Sealed Sword does normal damage so it doesn't have any effects for or against. If you have a sword compensating for non-piercing damage (and possibly the opposite "affinity" for how you evolve it), then the Antigua. If you're not sure, the Sealed Sword would be the safest bet. My Rigadoon does piercing, so I know that it would be an awful idea to use it against the Royal Jelly. Alpha wolvers, though, no longer frighten me the way they did.
-
I actually got one a little while ago, but my energy was more invested towards getting my rigadoon and pepperbox up to 4* rather than building a sword from the ground up. I've seen the Ascended Calibur - that's a mighty fine sword. Since I need the alchemy and sword hording achievements (which don't count my currently-existing swords, I guess), I'll be spending time building the Calibur up.
-
I got my 4* shield yesterday - a "plain Jane" Mighty Defender, but it's the only "Kozma" equipment I upgrade, so naturally it would happen first. Now I'm saving up for some more energy, but I splurged on a Wolver Coat auction because I'm sick of seeing 90% of people in these things and not having one myself. I got a Jelly Mail from a fight, so I might have some money coming in to offset that. Iron Knight was an impressive lineup, I thought. I also like the current one, Copper Bishop (even though it had two random floors, one of which sent me to a graveyard where I lost my chance at Silver Survivor - bitter).
-
Achievements?I imagine they'll come out with more content in this game soon.
-
And they just fixed it. So no new character needed. (Although, they haven't kept track of my arsenal OR my alchemy recipes, so those weren't grandfathered in. That might change once I make something.)

Achievement Unlocked: Overclockworks Joined the Ocremix guild. --- I'm wondering if there is a way for us to get the earlier accolades. We can't go back to the base camp, can we? And I've amassed plenty of weapons for a few other achievements.
-
And now the Onyx Falcon is available (again?) with a fire level and an ice level on Tier 1. But there are STILL two ices in a row!
-
I usually just roll with what I have, but that's because I'm too addicted to my pepperbox to give it up. I've always been a distance fighter who keeps steady pressure on the enemy, and that weapon fits my style perfectly. Oilers ruin it.I have a prismatech alchemer, but I used it once and hated it. I'm not a charger (which means that bombs are usually out of the question). I think I need the needle shot or the antigua.
-
I'm not too lucky with tokens, but I spend them freely when I'm in need of one or two key ingredients. --- Oh, so they dropped the 5,000 in price? I thought the 15,000 I used to see was top-end and that they tripled in price. I suppose this makes more sense. I get why they made the price shift, too - people are going to be able to sell these items easier with the auction house, so jacking up the investment would be a way to keep the rare things rare. --- I don't mind the poison levels (because I'm good at avoiding that status and it's one of the less harmful ones anyway, compared to shock or fire). I just mind looking up at the indicators above the Arcade and seeing the same symbol 3-4 times in a column. If I had fire levels followed immediately by ice levels, I'd have to plan if I want to keep my pepperbox for the levels where it'd do the most good or equip another secondary to handle the oilers.
-
The price changes have really hurt me. I came across the 4* recipe versions of my gun, hood, and armor, but they were all 10,000 and I'm just a little bit short of that. It hurts my soul. --- Oh, and what's up with everyone making these dungeons that are all poison, shock, or freeze? That can't be an accident. I got to the Royal Jelly battle a while ago, but that seemed like a turn of fortune rather than a planned execution. There was also an all-fire dungeon recently that made my otherwise fantastic pepperbox useless. I know it could be a lot worse, but it seems like people could mix it up a little bit (or that it would get naturally mixed up on its own with autosells). We don't see beast-theme outside of Tier 1 much, do we?
-
Oh, this update is fantastic! Although the Training Hall doesn't help as much as it would have when I first started playing, I think I'm in love with the new auction hall. I got the rigadoon recipe I needed (even though I can't afford to make it... unless the auctions on ingredients I put up go through, in which case I LOVE THE AUCTION HALL FOREVER). If nothing else, it's better than that awful cluster-f, /trade. And the Town Center isn't completely pointless now, either.

Flinstones remade.... by Seth MacFarlane
Thylacine replied to Toadofsky's topic in General Discussion
There have been a few Flintstone jokes on Family Guy (one in particular referring Peter and Lois as equivalents to Fred and Wilma), so this isn't a total shocker to me. The guy has done shorts, two "original" series, and a spinoff. I'm not surprised he wants to add an official remake to the list. I think it'll be short-lived, but there will be one or two memorable jokes sprinkled in. I'm more curious if it will retain the same "animated Honeymooners" feel or if it will feel more like Stone Age McFarlane Series. If you combine the Rubbles and the Flintstones together, you have the same number of 6 "character slots" as one of his typical series. Actually, factoring in Bam Bam, you have one extra character. So it'll be COMPLETELY different.
