  1. I've never finished the hard route. I played Starwing recently and i've tried it again but failed. I can't get past sector Z (Spinning Bars!!) . It's very difficult, even with the shield.
  2. Eh... I was talking about Vortex. I love starfox!
  3. I played it years ago when I was a child. I didn't like it. It was very hard and frustrating, couldn't beat the second level . But Starfox was (still is) awesome!
  4. Hi, wie geht's? I agree with everything Timaeus said! I can't really hear a lead instrument at 3:33, 4:16 and 6:13 (main melody). The piano could be louder overall IMO. The drums are nice, I like the energy.
  5. It sounds disharmonic but it's not the choir. It's that bell/tinkle sound which is constantly playing arpeggios. It comes in at 0:29.
  6. There are some weird harmonies at 0:35 - 0:37 and also 0:50. Other than that, nice remix.
  7. Hi there I've worked on my remix (It's still unfinished). Link: http://tindeck.com/listen/baro I've added a guitar solo (2:04). What do you guys think about the guitar sound? I didn't work on the brass dynamics yet.
  8. Very enjoyable and happy song, I like it. Very nice synth sounds. Nice work from both of you.
  9. I beat Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts and Battletoads in Battlemaniacs. Never Again!
  10. Thanks for the feedback Kanohi. I agree. A bit more variation would be nice. Ok, i'll try to add more dynamics to the brass section.
  11. Hi everybody! I'm working on a Jazz remix of Aqua Illusion from Gradius III. Source: http://youtu.be/M5VwW9bHBX4 Here's what i've got so far: http://tindeck.com/listen/vcgp The part towards the end is a bit empty. I think this would be a good spot for an instrumental solo, maybe guitar. Feedback Welcome.
  12. Great (Chip)tune, nice work! I also checked out a couple of your other tracks on soundcloud. I noticed there are a lot of jazz standards. I like jazz, you guys play pretty good! Hey, The Long Trail . That's a rarely played tune (i think).
  13. Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm glad you liked it. Thanks! Yeah, I love chords! I'm really pleased that you appreciate the middle section. It's my favourite part of the entire piece. I think you are right, some variation on the instrumentation couldn't hurt. Drums? hmm... why not. Yes, an intro would be nice.
  14. This original composition is supposed to be an ending credits theme that plays at the end of an old 16-bit game. http://tindeck.com/listen/ckew Feedback is appreciated.
  15. -I like the slow and relaxed groove at the beginning. Sometimes it gets a little bit messy when the sax, trumpets and accordion play at the same time. -There is a bit too much reverb on the sax for my taste. -The tempo change at 00:29 is a cool idea, but In my opinion it comes way too early. You might give the arrangement more time to develop. -I think those transitions at 0:51 and 1:37 need some work. They're kinda exposed and seem to be in a different (slower) tempo than the other parts. -The drums in general are a bit quiet and they could use more variation. -Nice interplay between the sax and the accordion towards the end. -I find the bass a tad too loud. -To improve your soloing skills, i would recommend that you listen to some jazz saxophonists, if you haven‘t already. Keep it up and have fun
  16. Thank you for the feedback! I think i still have to learn a lot about mixing. Ok, I'm gonna work on those chimes.
  17. I'm very glad to hear that, thanks! I guess I'll wait with submitting. I think i could still work on it and improve it. Is it because of the quality of the sounds? Ok, i think i'll experiment with different sounds. Thanks for the feedback!
  18. Hi everybody. Thanks a lot for the feedback guys! Here's the newest version of my remix. http://tindeck.com/listen/lbra I've changed a couple of things. - I added a pad. Well, it's actually an organ but i think it has the same function than a pad. Is the pad too quiet? - Changed the start and stop times of the strings in the intro. - I used a filter on the lead synth. - Lowered the volume of the lead synth. - Adjusted the panning of several instruments. And a few other tweaks. Feedback and critique welcome.
  19. My preferred style of music is jazz (and jazz related styles). I think that's really my strong point. And i just love it to play solos. That's why the most of my remixes sound jazzy. But i also like electronic music like DnB, techno etc. My DAW is cubase and i play everything in with my keyboard (Roland FP-4).
  20. Update 2! http://tindeck.com/listen/aqje I've replaced the vibe sample with a better one. And there is also a vibe solo towards the end.
  21. Sounds very good, well done! I had to smile when i was listening to it because when i was 14 or 15 years old, i played this song on my keyboard (by ear) and recorded it on tape. I think i still have the tape.
  22. Well, i have to admit, it actually is very uncatchy.
