  1. What I like about early Ben's mixes is presence of live instruments. I like how playful this mix sounds. The lo-fi rock drums and some live-recording noises works greatly. The Korobeiniki section whcih starts at 1:41 is my favorite section, actually. And that drop at 2:09 is incredibly great. You know, it gives this bouncy and energetic mix some ethreal/floating feeling. The acoustic guitar & cello work is just incredible. Великолепная работа, Бен!
  2. 1. Nutritious 2. Garpocalypse 3. TheShaggyFreak
  3. Sadly, begoma had to drop his claims, so SA2 is in the prior games list now. But, perhaps, we can get something very smooth, very groovy and very beardy on board (hint: it's not Mr. Bortz)
  4. Damn, dude, I've gotta say that your new version of PROWD is so freakin' awesome. It's already my favotite track from SZRC'14 and the remastered version from "Spindash" album is even more incredible! Keep it up, man! :nicework:

  5. <offtop>Was listening to Flex's "Arichnophobia" when I saw this gif </offtop> Wow, a whole bunch of danicing music is waiting, yeeeaaahh \m/ My neighbours have to prepare to some slepless nights watching me jammin' Jammin' like this guy
  6. Yeeaahh... While djp noticed some similiarities between this mix and TRIX, I think this is less upbeat and head-bopping and much more serious and sexy. A.W.E.S.O.M.E.
  7. Seconded. Anyway, for me, THIS is a classic halc tune. Chippy, mellow and very sexy <3 Gotta say that the bass here is terrific. And EP is also very tasty. The SFXs are nicely used as well. The whole thing sounds quite suitable for a casino. Speaking about source usage, I had really big problem recognizing Labyrinth Zone, but to my mind it's a good thing, so well it's incorporated here.
  8. Quite cool thing. The music istself is badass, it's perfect for snowboardnig/driving/any other epicness. But the vocals add some ethreal charm to it. Especially love the vocoded "somewhere" at 1:47. Awesome work.
  9. Oh, wait, what are these mellotrons? Maybe someone can explain a little bit more?... But no matter, what it is - you, Adam, created an excellent remix, using those... mellotrons, you know. While the title of the original track is "The Legend Begins", to my mind it sounds more like a credits theme - those mellotrons (We need to say more "mellotrons" for the Mellotron god ), flute, hip-hoppish drumwork and cheerful piano licks create a very relaxing atmosphere. Nice
  10. This is how credits theme should sound - sorta relaxing, mellow, both happy and sad. And the combination of acoustic and electric guitars with some reverb touches is probably the best choice for this. It's just awesome to hear how this track becomes more and more complex and lush and the just drops, leaving you with that excellent delicate aftertaste of this track. I love this Artem's contribution to A&D most of all - short but sweet.
  11. It's always been a surprise for me, why some awesome tracks as this one has so few comments. Oh, well... Anyway, this site opened a whole world of VGM to me. So, this was the first Terra mix I'd ever heard, and it still is my favorite. The combination of styles itself seems so weird... The rock-dance-orchestral-asian-flavored mix with bits of hip-hop. Who'd have thought?! But this is just mind-blowing. The energitic flow here is super strong. Awesome work.
  12. The "bounce" verse perfectly describes this track. I find the rapping a bit weird, but it's not a problem at all. Like the dark clubbing vibe coming from this one. The amount of funk is immense here, OMNOMNOMNOM. Neat job, guys
  13. Quite interesting take on the original. The glitchy "Come on" section and these tasty synths, which sound like mangled vocoder thing are my favorite details about this mix. The beat could have been more punchy, though. But all in all, this is a very good job!
  14. The title is actually a VERY bad pun, though it doesn't supposed to be a pun... But the track is awesome. It's my favorite Mario remix <3 This is so playful and bouncy. I'm big fan of brass and it doesn't disappoint here. The other instrumentation is also fine: sweet piano licks, crunchy percussion, some guitar injections and funky acoustic bass works greatly. That chippy break at 1:06 is nice and the section after it is probably the best here. I also like how Josh incorporated the Underground BGM - while still sounding quite serious, it perfectly fits this cheerful piece of work.
  15. A very solid track here. The drum intro itself is already so awesome, that I was totally sold. I like the varied mood of this mix: from deep and serious it changes to something almost upbeat and playful. The instrumentation is also damn great: acoustic guitars, strings, EP, mallets and dat drums. Drums are especially awesome <3
  16. It's definitely a Kirby mix: happy, chippy, bubbly and just excellent. Awesome work, guys!
  17. So, as far as I know, Blake's mixes are either saxxy and jazzy, or happy and chippy. Well, here we have an excellent mash-up of jazz and chiptunes. The crunchy 16-bit drums and other SNES sounds, combined with killer vibes and pleasant acoustic guitar create an awesome, relaxing, lounge-ish mix, which is perfect for a walk in a park on a sunny summer day. The only thing I hate about this song is that it's soooo short; but anyway, it's soooo great. P.S. It reminds me of from Sonic Unleashed.
  18. One of my Flex's favorites. It's absolutely exact comparison: this mix is like an Oreo coockie. Powerful, high-energy, slightly abrasive, slightly sad D'n'B jam, surrounded by tasty soft old-school vinyl piano.
  19. Ah, the intro is so wonderful, so lovely. It's not what you expect to hear from Sir J and Garett, but when I heard those cheesy vocals, excellent brass, groovy drumwork, and some other funky stuff, I was completely sold. Solid work, guys.
  20. This piece is awesome. It's sorta 3 in 1: super chillin', groovy and badass. Seriously, the cold piano licks combined with solid drum groove and Erik's spot-on solo (which is my favorite moment) create a very neat arrangement. Love it
  21. This is quite cool album. I like it Damn, just listen to XPRTNovice's track... I was not prepared to hear such track from him. I thought it would be some acoustic jazzy jam. Damn...
  22. Hmm... This doesn't sound like a typical zircon mix. It's more reminiscent of Radiowar's "Quicksilver" - it has the same cold, glassy vibe too. That's cool. But when I've almost drowned in ambience of this mix, that moment at 2:17 actually kicked me a bit. Quite groovy piece.
  23. Yeah, this definitey has some night tropical flavor to it. The funky guitar combined with shufflin' drums sounds amazing. But my most favorite part starts at 2:58 (dat rhodes). The outro, which has some sorta ethreal feeling, is lovely as well.
