    If it doesn't distract from the process, and you're still able to do the adequate research to make sure the song is thoroughly covered, then I don't see why it would be a problem. Actually having video of you doing it may hold you to a higher standard, it'll keep you on the ball and you won't be able to cut any corners or people will see. This would be over skype and on ustream / twitch etc? Why do you need motivation for judging though? Remixers appreciate what you do and you get to hear all of this amazing music before anyone else, isn't that enough?

    Sorry, my last post wasn't very well expressed as I was on a phone at the time.. The song "Fear the Dark" is on the Aquaria OST but I'm not sure if it is in the game or was added to the game later (it's an indie game)... wondering if it is applicable for remixing.

    http://compo.thasauce.net/files/Oinkness_-_Monkey(OHC055).mp3 Acapella? Vocal only mixes.... that'd never work at ocr. People hate vocals in mixes enough as it is without them being all vocal. ;p I'm not talking about the site stance on it, but I know the youtube audience would not be amused.

    Hey, I'm really sorry I wasn't here earlier when you had a WIP... I was at work, and I also have the flu, so it was pretty unbearable. I don't know how good my ears are right now for critiquing a mix to be completely honest... but if you're still up for it, I'll give it a try.     man i have the flu :cry: got it yesterday morning.. slept almost constantly since... hope there's not too much left to it.. it completed destroyed my throat on day 1, when i woke up it felt like i neesed to clear everything out of there but it was so painful and i couldn't talk and i was sad.

    Beginning of the year update to let everyone know where this project is since we're starting FF3 soon... Finished songs: 13 Finished length: 58:43 Unfinished songs: 7 I'm personally sitting on a few songs, such as the Chernabogue dead music collab, and TuberzMcGee Revived Emperor, and a secret I'm not gonna reveal hopefully it works out. The 2 Bonkers songs are almost done. Hat knows what he doing (talked to him at MAGFest) should be good, and XPRTNovice just jumped on board for Magician's Tower. So give it 2-3 months and hopefully we'll be finishing up for good.

    I think everyone's been waiting for FF9 longer, mainly because, if I'm not mistaken, which I sometimes can be, FF9 has been in production longer than FF6, and has certainly been public much longer.

    Yeah I agree with Kuolema, this is DEFINITELY more Medley than OCR usually allows, but it's also Shnabubula. So I can understand how that happened. This is a great ReMix, I don't remember it from MAGFest, but it's nice hearing now as if it were fresh. The strings seem sequenced but have good articulations. The piano seems quite dry, which is really noticeable during the arpeggios at 3:09. As a whole, I think more could have been done with the effects and EQ to make the mix more refined.

    As a Beatles fan i endorse this title But I am confused as to how ff9 conversation broke into the ff6 kickstarter thread (or for that matter why a kickstarter thread is still open rather than a general discussion thread) A bit off the wall of a comment but I like how the title is "Blank and Blank" instead of "Blank of Blank". Also Blank was a character in ff9. And now we've come full circle.

    I mapped out the stats yesterday, so good timing on this question!

    11 WAVs, 58:42 of finished songs, 6:57 of BONKERS WIPs for 2 mixes which are super close to done... A lot of the stuff is either super close to done or not started at all.

    The stuff that hasn't been started is mostly my problem (songs I'll do) and I don't foresee it being an issue, I'll just do it, but while there are other holdouts, I'm relaxing. >:)
