I gotta be honest about the Minaj song... part of me likes it, but not many people know I have an irrational feature of repetition, like sounds that repeat a lot of times in a row with an unchanging tone, so I probably won't listen to it again... I don't know if there's a name for that, it's just something I noticed when listening to certain songs. Plus the crazy editing with the giant eyes doesn't make it any better. I'd probably love it if they made an unplugged version.

Well I was at the DoD listening party so I heard it on the great speaker setup that norg rented. I liked it then, in fact I enjoyed both Streets of Rage entries in the DoD. I answered as good as I could what you pmed me. I may be honest sometimes but my intention is never to discourage people.. on the contrary. Being direct about things can be more constructive than sugar coating.

Just a couple notes based on stuff I've read in the thread: 1. Don't use compression on guitars. You could use a limiter, but I do not recommend it. 2. Highpassing guitars works, but use a subtle low shelf cut instead to maintain your low end. 3. Multiband limiters on a mastering chain can be a gift or a curse. Use it wisely. Strive for transparency.

Now that this thread is about shit, and my post is on topic, I really look forward to my evening monster shits these days. It seems like the most relaxing time of my day, and I'm a guy who really does not like shitting at all, it's not a pleasant experience by any stretch of the imagination. Also, Ben took the lead on our track, then sent the midi to Rexy, then she's going to work for a while, then I am going to work and I'll make sure it's at least 20 minutes long.
