In over 100% of cases the remixes are better than the source, depending on the game. A lot of old game music sounds like pOOp and fixing it up with modern sounds is great. There's some covers by real bands that are better than the original song. I'm struggling to think of an example... Epic Mullet Guy's "parody" of Friday was better than the original. Brap, I forgot to mention Battle Scene B which is actually a really incredible song, I really dig it. It's open, so if anyone wants to put together something nice for it, that'd be cool. Bonus points if you use koto and shamisen. This should arguably NOT be a tough song to fill, as the song is amazing and has ample melodic substance. EDIT: We got Insert Rupee and Izkemia (from the first album) -- will leave this here incase something opens up.

It would be better if OCR had their own player on the site, to just play the mp3 which is already hosted on the site. Instead of an embedded soundcloud player for mixposts. o_O Not a bad general idea though man,

I made a replica of the plate from FF7 over what I now call the "Midgarian Slums", a town on an existing server. It really did block out all the sunlight, I was surprised. Everyone got pissed off about living under the plate, and I was like hell yes, it's just like the other game. It's a game within a game now.

The different "cliques" around here remind me of like, a prison cafeteria. Oh over here you've got your synth elitists, over here you've got your "It sounds like a MIDI" crusaders.. the live instrumentalists cowering in the corner, and over here we've got vocalists

We basically need someone to do a cool remix for Chocobo's Theme, Run, and Revived Emperor; the last 2 I wouldn't mind seeing in a medley. These three sources aren't necessarily the strongest. This is the earliest manifestation of Chocobo theme, which has evolved heavily throughout the years. For OCR purposes it should be passable quality though, which implies that it shouldn't be TOO liberal. Something like Rhymes with Elixir may work, but preferably not a rap. Unless it's rap metal. It should not be an original song. So yeah. Tough spots to fill. If anyone thinks they can provide badass renditions of these sources, and fit alongside the above names, please let me know. I didn't know I had built a reputation of someone who murders project directors. Emunator, sure, over the years, yes... but... cut me some slack. As for Enchanted, Akuma's gonna figure out how tough it is to get WIPs and WAVs from people with his own project, Vroom.. maybe that'll inspire him to start tossing in his own sooner.

It seems really pretentious to me. Oh we're better than everything else on the radio, saying it was a struggle to get on and even going through a "history of radio". Then you listen to the raps and they're pretty standard fare, sure they use sounds that aren't that common, but listen to tell me it's not the same concept.
