  1. Wild Arms: These Arms They Be Wild Just kiddin, Vigilante is a good title. I wanted to call my album title "The Root of all Evil" Then I remembered it was a DREAM THEATER SONG
  2. I think it is just the Monkey Island opening theme or main theme. And it's an African barbershop.. that's my excuse.
  3. Ok, people! 3 out of 12 songs remaining? I think that's pretty awesome. If we can get a few more people to claim a track, that would be outstanding. If not, I'll have to do them myself! Come on. Please. Make it easier on me. We've got WIPs from Flik, bjkmenu, BardicKnowledge, and OCRE. YES! OCRE! And hey, I just edited this post to say I finished a song, so we have our first song done... yay. If anyone in the project wants to hear it, let me know. Now it's your turn! Don't forget folks, the due date for first WIPs is October 31st. Anyone without a WIP turned in for their track by then will lose their claim on the track.
  4. Craziness. Congratulations. Maybe I should have married bLiNd too.
  5. I was going to submit this, since there's really not much way I could edit this.. I mean I could add on to it but it's pretty solid as it is. Ok, so I had been planning to make a barbershop remix of the Monkey Island theme for like a month, but I've heard like 2 barbershop songs on TV comedies and have no idea what they are. I think I did a pretty good job. The last time I actually heard the song was when I played Special Edition when it was released, not since then... so I sort of did it from memory too. Some backstory A small monkey is living in Africa. The sky is dark, and there is naught a thing in sight. Looking for shelter, the monkey runs into a nearby hut. It's pitch black. The monkey hears a man start singing a note and almost jumps out of his skin. Then another. Then another. Then another. A young African boy with a leather jacket, holding a very old AC/DC album then joins in with the other 4 singers. They begin to sing a haunting melody of monkey adventures past. They strap the monkey into a large, frightening chair, and tie him down. The monkey notices that all of the men are bald. As they sing, they begin to shave the monkey until he's entirely hairless. By the end of the song, the monkey is completely bald and all of the men have made a wig out of his discarded hair. They charge him $10.99 for the cut and send him on his way. http://compo.thasauce.net/files/Oinkness_-_Monkey(OHC055).mp3 "A Monkey Walks Into A Barbershop"
  6. Yeah, we're all busy and it's serious monkey business going on, not to be taken lightly, but I really would appreciate it if you could claim a Teen Agent track. I know you can do good work and you could call it a favor and a birthday present. I mean I'm planning to make a really great nIghts track if I can do it justice. So yeah. I don't own a triangle but I bet it'd be fun to play.

  7. The saddest thing is that the guy's viewpoint is still a fairly strong one in this community. x_x It dissuades people from starting new projects.
  8. Hahah that kitten with mittens sig makes me laugh every time I see it. That's how OCR changed my life. At least at the moment. My story is too long for one post.
  9. Hah, it was pretty awesome. How will I know when the next W is coming out? By the way, I didn't watch the other show because it was like episode 28 of something or other and I always prefer to start at the beginning. Kamen Rider W wasn't really the beginning of the story though, as far as I could tell, even if it was an episode one. It's like a sequel to a previous series.
  10. Since Double is the first episode I'll try to join you for that one. My skype is Oinkness.
  11. hi. I've got some projects that are demanding my attention at the moment, but I will give the Wild Arms soundtrack a listen and get back to you... unless you had a different suggestion. Take care =]

  12. hahah I laffed... Bardic Knowleddge and you have Edward from Final Fantasy uhh 4 as your icon... lol

  13. hey level58. I've had rozo's song sitting on the shelf for like a month or two so i'm obligated to finish that asap. Then after that I'll just have teen agent and nIghts to focus on

Also I have some journalistic duties that are well overdue and have to be completed about a week before the end of September... so... -_-

  14. Ok. This is going to sound dumb but despite being incomprehensible and ignorant, I'm willing to make an effort to be friendly. Ignore what that 9/10 post at 2:30AM said. Now it's 9/12 at 2:40AM and I feel differently. :-)

  15. Hooray! And they lived happily ever after, the dark clouds descended back across the treacherous ocean and the lighthouse of freedom shown brightly across the land. I'll have to check out the soundtrack and let YOU know.
  16. It's from last week? Hah, I kid. Looking forward to hearing it. =]
  17. Well as long as you call me incomprehensible and ignorant, I will not listen to your responses. I would make an effort to be friendly but you made it apparent from day 1 that there isn't going to be a chance of that.

  18. @Jade If it means anything, I took a course in project management. I may not be well known here but I've got plenty of project management experience. Still, you're relying on people you have no direct contact to so it's pretty irrelevant. @Meteo's future post Same here.
  19. Take a hint and stop responding to my posts.

  20. I'm not going to argue the differences between being "well known" and "popular"... that's.... yeah. Whenever someone tries to start a project, the gargoyles descend and scare them away. This thread is a perfect example of that. And it was done to me as well, but I didn't give up. I would be willing to help co-manage this project if you ever change your mind, Jade.
  21. They have but I don't feel like rummaging through all of my logs to make you a compilation of all of it. And I know you won't be satisfied until I do. So I'll just leave it at that.
  22. OC ReMix strikes again. Honestly, I've found the people and community to be very unspirational for creating music. If you want it done, you should just do it for yourself and keep at it. The people who say you "can't" do it because you're not well known enough are just morons. Making music has nothing to do with a person's popularity. Besides, you could be very popular in different music scenes outside of OCR. That line is just an excuse for them to be lazy and ignorant. I mean... the people here are great, and very nice.
  23. I've never played the games but if you ever start the project, you can consider me interested. I do it for the music more than gameplay nostalgia.
  24. That's incredible, Hale-Bopp! Please do add me. I don't mind my gamertag being public. It is Oinkness. (lol) That's pretty awesome that you'll only be singing. I mean, it is so incredibly rare to find a singer online for LIVE quickplay or whatever. Very rare, so this is cool. I can possibly sing harmonies with you too. I play the drums on expert but I don't think the drums are going to be too hard for this game, and I naturally sing harmony parts anyway because I tend not to sing the main melody because I can't hear myself as well along with the original singer. I'm a harmony guy. So yeah, I could hook up a mic stand next to my drum set and angle it to my head. This could work. So we've got 2 singers and a drummer on board so far for our new band. We need a band name. Got any ideas? I don't know if they make you play as the Beatles or if you get to set your own band name. Oh well. I guess we can discuss that later. Sephfire please add me too. It sucks to have a RROD but hopefully you will get it back soon and be rocking. Also before I run out and buy it, I am going to see if Gamefly ships it tomorrow. If they don't, I'll order it from Amazon. Thanks. [edit] Gamefly shipped it, it should be here tomorrow. YEAH!
