Ok. I was planning to start writing on a sequel to my solo album soon so I'll probably write the song to be included on that in the style I was going to make the other songs in, and send it along your way. I'll write it geared towards Relay. I'm excited! I gotta make sure everything is top notch for this.

What do I do?

I'm not good with all the bureaucratic stuff, I'd like to just be able to make the song and send it in without... reading...

I hope you do or have, superjoe! I would love to have you do a track on this. I am extremely pleased to announce that Flik has claimed Castle, so now there are only 4 tracks left. Army Blues, Island Reggae which DrumUltimA said he would do a marimba solo for in context of the song, March, and Prison. Still no WIPs but I have complete faith in those who signed on.

Needless to say, I epic failed as far as this Fresh Baked was concerned, but I finished 2 project songs so at least there was some productivity here. I still want to make the song though even though the contest has ended. Is that alright?

For the regular Joe Everyman (lol), they don't necessarily regard Time magazine based purely on the prestige behind the name. I never thought of Time as a journalistic magazine to begin with, but then again, I've never read it. I find so much more substance in the smaller-run publications, and find them so much more worthwhile. Sure, Time is a big vehicle for publicity and it really sucks that they would mess with you in this manner, but the article will still do what it was intended to do. It will get people interested, who probably have not even heard of chiptunes, and they will check out the music. So yeah, this is a stain on what could have been a great opportunity, but I think there's a silver lining to this cloud, or whatever the phrase is. There will still be good from it. Plus, in addition, the 'controversy' over the mis-quoted interview will also probably generate a decent size of buzz. So anyway, congratulations. I did listen to the samples and I wish I had the kind of money that I could just throw at this thing, but bah.. it sucks being poor. But the samples were great.

Really licks the llama's ass, that does. I've been gaining a moderate interest in chiptunes. Not in the masochistic way of writing it in the traditional way. I've been more interested in finding some kind of soundfont that has the recorded tones in it.

Sounds great, man. I collected money for Relay before, and was planning on selling my CDs at the actual event to raise money but couldn't get them printed up in time for the event. The only way I'd be able to show an example of the kind of song I would want to do is to actually make the song now. So I don't know how that would work. ;D

If it weren't for downloading, I never would have flourished on the internet. I'd probably be a librarian right now. So they can think about THAT.

He's probably going to come to his senses and keep it. Because honestly. If you have 2 gold bricks, you're not going to be like "Hey, anyone want a free gold brick? I've got one too many." Yes, I compared the soundtrack to a gold brick. At any rate, I'll probably try to download this thing if I can find it.... a Final Fantasy IX album project might be a decent thing to tackle next year sometime. I would totally be up for that.

I'm hoping to help finish this track, they're getting it ready right now I think. They might be recording new parts or deciding on the arrangement or something. I don't honestly know everything that they're up to. Just waiting for word from them on what's to come.

It's probably too dangerous to post an unbiased and honest opinion of this track, so I'll just say congratulations on winning that contest.

Sorry! And you know the worst part, my song is going to completely rip ass and take names, even if I only spend 2 days on it, because I am -- not to horn toot -- that good. Plus I'm going to downtune to B standard and run it through the REAL amp. It's going to be heavy as balls.

Hah I haven't started on mine yet, but if I'm able to spend 1 day on recording it, and then 1 day on mixing and finishing the track, I should be good.
