  1. When I hit 16, my parents had me giving out the candy. Now I'm 22. That stuff is for kids.
  2. That may possibly be the dumbest thing I have heard all day. Good luck with your Starcraft maps.
  3. Honestly, you could probably get by at OCR with naught but a MIDI controller and a few good libraries, but think of the future. There'll probably come a time when you will want to record live instruments, so keep that in mind before you make your decision! As for MIDI Controllers, my M-Audio Keystation pro has 88 keys and is USB-powered, so it's pretty great. It's probably in the $300 range for it.
  4. I am so sorry for your loss. Hope you had a great wedding.
  5. After hearing my song, is my talk less cheap? I'm just wondering. I mean to say after hearing it would you have considered letting me make the last open track. Purely out of my curiosity I am asking this, as we've talked about the track and you know how I feel about how confusing it would be to do.
  6. How many times have you shot your deuce off of the map and died? Yeah... that's fun.
  7. I probably would have rented Uncharted 2 if it was on the 360. Yeah, apparently Sony isn't learning anything from the Infamous / Prototype deal where Prototype outsold infamous more than double pretty much because it was multi-platform and infamous is just on the ps3. Oh well. They'll probably figure it out when its too late. How far have you guys got with Brutal Legend so far? I finished the Lemmy main quest and did a couple sneak attack secondary quests. I've only found like 4 songs and haven't figured out how to find stuff seriously yet.
  8. Mine is just on the way here now "out for delivery" from Amazon... It should be here any minute. I can't wait to play it, obviously, which is why I got the release-day shipping. As for the people saying JB is not metal... you don't know squat about metal. There are those with the long hair and tattered clothes or outfits who dress the way they do to make a fashion statement. Metal isn't about fashion statements. Maybe heavy metal is, but heavy metal is too gimmicky these days.
  9. 8 Men in Black? What is this MiB you speak of? The historical binary interpretation of mega is still in wide use by the consumer software industry and use of the mebi prefix is still not common. Sorry, you gave me a bit of a nerd seizure and I couldn't help it...
  10. My birthday came and went without a tribute album This is a very great collection of music, short, but great It's like the OCRE of album releases
  11. Well you gotta be careful not to spread it like too less butter over a big piece of bread. Know what I mean? I've got a couple things on my plate but I'm not like Obama. I'm actually going to do stuff. I'm actually starting official "sound" work on my first NiGHTS WIP tonight. I'm not sure what will result from this, I guess it depends on how lucky I am with getting inspirational tones. Nothing stints inspirado faster than a lack of rock-it sauce. I figured you trusted me enough musically to let me claim the second track but meh, apparently not... just trying to help. ;p
  12. Hey Lvl99. I will claim Fragmented Nights, the final unclaimed track, in addition to Gate of your Dreams. It won't be some long thing though as the source is just 40 seconds, it will just be a project song -- wouldn't pass ocr judges due to length. If you're cool with that, let me know. For some reason I thought I had so much more time left before first wips were due. Oh well. I will get one or two to you asap. I've got a couple things on my plate first.
  13. http://www.rainwound.com/downloads/The_Ivory_Chapel.zip Hey, that's my band's second album. I could give you split tracks probably for any of these songs, before I archive the studio sessions or whatever bands do when they finish a CD. Do they delete them and just keep the wave masters? I dunno. Let me know.
  14. I already told you how much I loved it on IRC but yeah.. I loved it...
  15. Ahah, well realize I was also being extremely generous in an attempt to not piss off any rap fans. But I wasn't talking hip hop. I was talking rap. And I clearly said I don't consider melodious auto-tune vocals and choruses to be rap. I don't care if you call it bubble gum tic-tac marzipan kit-kat rap. Rap is rap.
  16. As the death metal vocalist I think I can safely share my opinion on rap vocals. There's actually a lot of similarity between death vocals and rap vocals. Death vocals, mainly monotone, with a ferocious changing of pitch between growling and screaming, but not really based too much on melody. Usually based on rhythmic timing. Rap vocals on the other hand... usually pretty much the same thing, but without the growling or screaming. Monotone, almost like speaking in a rhythmic manner. Though I believe growls can express a lot more emotion than raping. Rap vocals stop being rap vocals when they introduce melody or auto-tune, with the exception of douchebags like Kanye West who put auto-tune on their monotone talking. I'm obviously biased so I can't say one is better than the other, I'll just say they are fairly equal, at least on the surface. It takes a lot more vocal effort and control to be able to pull off a constant string of growling.
  17. Hi. This is Brandon Strader, and I am proud to present to you, the OC ReMix community, my band Rainwound's second album The Ivory Chapel which I just uploaded to torrent so you could download it for free. 18. So do you use the PC version of these games or is it some kind of cracked / modded version? I've never played the PC versions so I don't know if they allow charting your own songs on the PC or if this is some shifty thing.
  19. *farts on your page, turning it slightly brownish*

    thanks :)

  20. Stevo's just saying he's gonna collab with shaggy to make me jealous because I asked him a few days ago.
  21. I am ready to make a Christmas song for this project and DarkeSword's
  22. Spit sounds? I think I'll redo the opening bit to get more confident notes, but what are these spit sounds you refer to? Are they things I can just cut?
