They can say whatever they want. It doesn't matter, and it's their loss. Even so much as pointing out their poopbutted opinion is giving far too much respect to what they have to say, or what they think. But the more awful thing is people from the album going to the site to badmouth other people from the album, the album, or OCR itself. (G-Mixer). That behavior is completely unacceptable, and I'll be the first director to toss down a gauntlet saying that is not acceptable on any project I'll run. I don't keep a huge list of people who are banneded from participating in albums, but for things like this, I remember, and I'd encourage other directors to do the same. As for the thread, I came out unscathed, actually there was a compliment to Bottled Choir A remix that wildfire sang on, was complimented. They could have insulted my song in every post on that forum and I wouldn't care, I learned a LONG TIME AGO to not care about the opinions of Sonic fans. Maybe if it was a different community it'd be a different story.

I agree about the sharpness of the harmonica, but it's SUPER great to hear local music hitting OCR. Could have had some cool jug blowing too, but that's a personal nitpick.

I think I have about 30 or so games on Origin... from winning a free copy of Syndicate, and then when the EA store had their bug that let people "buy" games for free, I got a whole mess of them. And someone gave me a free code for Battlefield 3 on reddit. I see NO REASON to buy a game now after this epic history of freeloading.

Honestly? It's not a half bad idea. Get a bunch of great singers who could also voice act, bring the classic Square story telling and mix in the new pompous over-the-top epicness of new FFs and.... I'd buy it...

I honestly think FF15 development either needs to be made into a sitcom, or some kind of movie. Maybe a romantic comedy drama.

Sorry for any confusion about the title, I'm asking you why you don't remix modern VGM, just to hear, but I don't want to limit it to only asking remixers why they don't remix new VGM. So in the first post I ask why people don't. That way it's kind of all-inclusive, but maybe a little confusing. I didn't really think about that. I think saying new VGM being all cinematic or mood music is a bit of a misrepresentation. It's definitely a style choice for some games, but not all NES/SNES/etc music was melodic and catchy.. I didn't want to argue which was better because they're both great, I was just wondering why folks haven't remixed new stuff.. it seems like it's either because people haven't heard any of it, or they brush it off as being "hollywood mood music"
