  1. What is this threads tagging business? Have we finally succumbed to the general public's cravings to be able to browse mixes by genre? I seem to be able to find rock remixes by finding a thread with a "rock" tag in the reviews forum... http://www.ocremix.org/forums/tags.php?tag=rock I don't care, personally, but if this is an unwanted side effect of an otherwise very useful feature...
  2. jmr, I will send you the ftp info so you can upload both the website files (put them in an own folder) so I can look at it and the most recent version of your wip. I don't have anything of what was uploaded to Cerrax's ftp, and if I had anything on my hard drive it's gone now too.
  3. I agree it would be pretty nifty. I don't make the calls however, we'll have to wait and see what djp says. Or one of his representatives.
  4. Cool. I already have the recordings though, I just need to split them... Slice apparently didn't do the job, unfortunately.
  5. Thanks, Willrock. Reports like this are encouraged. If anyone else finds errors in the bios, please tell us! I will delegate verification of this to my, ehum, associates.
  6. Hey, nice! I use their other program called WavePad, and I knew they had a bunch of other apps but I didn't think of looking for this there. Thanks!
  7. I had nearly forgotten about it myself. Eheh...
  8. I have recorded lots of samples from an old keyboard and need to chop up the very long recording into small ones containing only one sample each. Each sample has been recorded by pressing keys on the keyboard, allowing for a second or more of silence between each sample. The samples are not of a consistent length. I need something that can parse the 10 minute+ recordings of samples and save them as small wave files, like a program that takes a long text and saves each word (separated by blanks) as an individual .txt file. Does anyone know of a program that does this for wave files, preferably a free one?
  9. Come on, Douli, get those OCReMoved mixes uploaded!

  10. I agree it would be a useful feature, actually. Same with the avatars, "Polo's Avatar" is not very helpful. But with the avatars, you can right-click and check the url for the image. Of course, clicking a mascot to find out its name is a lot easier than that... and if you don't want to read the whole bio, you don't have to. The character's name is spelled out for you, both in the article, in the address bar and the browser tab and main window headers. EDIT: Ok, not in the address bar, apparently.
  11. Quoted for great justice! All I did was reload the page, then it worked. And I had to do this on every computer I use.
  12. You too buddy, thanks for everything. And indeed, a winner is us
  13. Yeah, dude! YEAH!!! Just trying to help. This is, unfortunately, the only way I know how to do it. Would you like me to aim for your shins next time?
  14. Wow, thanks man, for the title and all the other stuff you did. We didn't know how to handle the pics because you said DJP was going to code it so that there wouldn't be a pic in the actual bio, but when a mascot was clicked it would stay the same when the wiki page loaded. Something about the impact on bandwidth it would have to load two mascot images at the same time...eeeh. Anyway, thanks a lot for fixing it for us, and the other stuff. I remember, I just don't remember watkinzez not being part of all that. Congrats to you too. *high fives* I think my Toejam and Earl bio could do with some editing, still. I read it and didn't really like it very much. I'll try to do something about it soon...
  15. That's weird, I'm sure someone (probably LT) wrote here in this thread that if this project was ever completed I would get a project coordinator badge emblazoned under my username. And now I can't find the post...
  16. I hate it when this happens. I reloaded the page and now it works. THANK YOU!!! EDIT: I noticed watkinzez isn't listed as an editor in the main article. Hum. Was he or do I just think he was because of how many writeups he did? Anyway, I hope we get feedback if there are new games to be added to the appearances lists as more games are being added to the site's database. An announcement might also be nice (or maybe it's more fun letting people discover the new feature on their own ).
  17. What do you mean they're LINKED? It doesn't work for me...
  18. Haha, ok, fine, win7 isn't released yet. But I have no reason to believe vgmix3 will be before windows 7. Edited my post.
  19. Microsoft will have released two generations of Windows in the time it has taken the vgmix team so far to revive vgmix.
  20. I've had nothing BUT problems with vgmix since last it was revived. Can't even seem to browse or search mixes by game.
  21. ...I didn't comment on this yet? Well, all I have to say is it's absolutely brilliant. Are all the instruments live?
  22. You see the thumbs-up icon atop this post? Selecting an icon for your posts (and your threads, by selecting one for the first post) is disabled in the projects forum. I don't know why. If it was activated again and if some rules could be set up that project threads should use certain logos to indicate the project status, this could potentially improve the situation, I think.
  23. The recently posted list has the Castlevania III mix in it which takes up a lot of rows due to the large number of remixers which have long names and the song name which is also pretty long. It's too close to the remix below it, it doesn't look good. The list should space the entries out more if this happens again.
