  1. I guess that's ok, the quote marks suggest a pun here... I don't know... What do you think?None of these were what I had in mind though - I was thinking about the one game in the appearances list not being linked to the game - but then I realized the game has no remixes even though it's in the database... should we link it up anyway? If the game gets a remix later on it'll save us the trouble of linking it up later. Also, should we link the mention of Final Fantasy Tactics to its game page? Ok, I guess that's fair.
  2. That looks exactly like the one I played on. The one that wasn't velocity sensitive. Or the sample box didn't have support for it... I'd love to hook one of those up with Reason or something.
  3. I see. There were 2 unused tracks in that list, too, but I guess they were in the game data then. I realize this might not be important to this project, but OCRemixes must normally be of music found in the actual game data, right?
  4. Liontamer mentioned a song named "Tick" among his biased picks. This is the list of songs I've found from this game... 101 - title screen 102 - prologue 103 - aquamarine bay 104 - perils of the coral reef - introduction 105 - perils of the coral reef - main 106 - perils of the coral reef - the race 107 - perils of the coral reef - the great white 108 - four ways of mystery 109 - passage from genesis 110 - pathways from nowhere 111 - up and down - the great geyser 112 - up and down - the lake 113 - roaring forces - the chase 114 - roaring forces - metamorphosis 115 - atlantis lost 116 - descent of the foe 117 - vortex of time 118 - shrine of controversy 119 - master of forgotten skills - introduction 120 - master of forgotten skills - solving the puzzle 201 - process that never ends 202 - blades in motion 203 - obscure ways to terminus 204 - sleeping forces of doom 205 - twisted realities 206 - anguish of dearth 207 - entrapment 208 - caverns of hope 209 - powers of levitation 210 - powers of levitation - activating the generator 211 - hanging waters 212 - ice and fire 213 - ice and fire - victory 214 - abyss of inferno 215 - abyss of inferno - victory 216 - mutaclone 217 - invasion 218 - transfiguration 219 - heart of the foe - victory 220 - epilogue 221 - you must continue 222 - game over 223 - credits 224 - bonus - the race excerpt (unused alternate version) 225 - bonus - aquamarine bay excerpt (unused alternate version) So is it any one of these? I don't know where to find this song if it's not in this list. I'd join this project if I could only find some music of his that I liked...
  5. Ok, I cut them up and put them at www.ngst.nu/avatars/warcraft2. The filenames are now identical to the units' names in the game. Minus spaces, that is. EDIT: Hello? I'm not seeing any blue color here...
  6. Well, what do you know, I failed my own deadline. I'll try to get this done as soon as possible. EDIT: Ok, can you spot the blooper in this one? http://www.ocremix.org/info/Penelo EDIT2: These mascots have no remixes: Akira Kazama Batsu Iichimonji Bishamon Blaze the Cat Bonus kun Edge Gambit Heather Morris Hsien-Ko Jedah Dohma Jin Kazama Jon Talbain Karin Kanzuki Lady Leon Belmont Lilith Aenslaed LocoRoco Lord Raptor Morrigan Aenslaed Roberto Miura Servbots The Prince Tira Ukyo Tachibana Ulala Venom Viewtiful Joe Wain Think it could be fun to post this list in a request thread once this project has finished, like, a completely voluntary remix project without deadlines of any kind?
  7. I edited my post above, but it seems you missed the edit - I'm all done with the colors. Add the ones you want and tell me if there's anything I can do about the ones you don't.
  8. Not suggesting you'd want it at all, but how much advertising would you need on this site to be able to work on it full-time and make a living off of it?
  9. Good idea. I'll try that. Ok, I just noticed that in this game, the images I've been making here apparently take different colors depending on what team you're playing... *sigh*, and so, some of them are blue and some are red. Not good. I'll redo those that need redoing (Humans should be blue, Orcs red, based on the campaign game settings). Meanwhile, I'd like some input on the ones below (if any is good enough, please don't add any of them yet, since I need to redo some of them...). I did as Polo suggested and came up with this. I increased contrast and brightness as well as added some saturation (otherwise they got a little grayish and dead). So... thoughts? EDIT: They're all fixed now. So, from left to right, top to bottom... (O = Orc, H = Human) Grunt (O), Troll (O), Footman (H), Elven Archer (H), Knight (H), Peon (O), Peasant (H), Ogre (O), Gnomish Flying Machine (H), Knight (H) (alternate, I prefer the first one), Berserker (O), Elven Ranger (H), Gryphon Rider (H) (I spelled it wrong last time), Death Knight (O), Critter (Seal), Paladin (H), Mage (H), Ogre-Mage (O), Goblin Zeppelin (O). Also, here are some that I didn't manage to crop with any good results... feel free to try. They have been brightened the same way as the ones above. Dwarven Demolision Squad (H), Dragon (O), Goblin Sappers (O). Bonus: Orc Cursor! Same effects applied here. LT: Nice work on the brightness fixes. Thanks to Polo for his advice, you definitely took it and ran with it well. Lemme know when you're set on the proper colors and then I'll see what makes it in.
  10. I knew you'd say that. Any of them good enough already, or do they all need to brighten up?
  11. Griffin Rider, Death Knight, Critter (seal).
  12. Paladin, Mage, Ogre-Mage, Goblin Zeppelin.
  13. Wasn't sure how to crop this one, so here are 2 tries. Knight. Also Berserker, Elven Ranger.
  14. Peon, Peasant, Ogre, Gnomish Flying Machine.
  15. Wow, I don't know how, but I seem to have missed your last post, DJ Symbiotix. I'll listen to this as soon as it's done downloading (it's sooo slooow...).
  16. So when will we see this happen to the remixer lists?
  17. There's a piece of advice. I'll avoid Behringer. Too bad though, they had something like what I wanted - a simple amp box. But if it's not good... then I won't get it. So, is there anything slightly better without being three times the price?
  18. True. I'm pretty sure there have been System Shock 2 mixes on the site though, and his is the only one I remember.
  19. That's really strange. Where did I get it, then? But yeah, ask DJP, he'd know.
  20. I don't remember when I saw those SS2 mixes, but it was probably back in 2002 or 2001. They did sample from the original songs a lot, so I don't mind them being pulled, I just think it's strange there's no record of their existence anywhere. EDIT: Well, here's one way to get to his SS2 mix... http://www.fileplanet.com/59803/50000/fileinfo/Shodan-(Hacked-Mix)
  21. Bart Klepka made some System Shock 2 mixes that were removed without mention, and that are also not on OCRemoved...
  22. Thanks for your input, Darklink. It's too bad you didn't post these sooner, as you would probably have been able have more of an impact then.
  23. Indeed, very useful, and sleek, too. I noticed, though, that while viewing a profile, holding your mouse over someone's avatar doesn't show the image path and filename as it does in forum posts. The avatar's real name would be better still, but that's a whole other story. EDIT: Er... ok, I don't really know where to post this, but this thread is about the site, so here goes: everyone keeps complaining about bandwidth, right? Normally, web hosting is rather expensive, but this one is a real jawhanger. http://www.servage.net/ - 510GB of space, 5010GB monthly data transfer limit, and at roughly $10-$15 a month. Wtf? Well, if you ever need another mirror, you should consider this... I'd get an account myself if I ever needed more than a few hundred megs of space. I'm trying to find the catch, if there is one. I'll be back... Ok, lol. Also: Yay, OCPorn! No, seriously, I don't know what this site's running costs are as of right now, but again, if you need more bandwidth, this would seem like the place...
  24. Keep in mind I want to get away with as small an investment as possible. I'm only recording one thing at a time and can do the equalizing and all that stuff later.
  25. All of the Starcraft faces would do nicely... I think. I don't know how big they are though, or if cropping them is a good idea. EDIT: If these don't need too much work, I can make more... I have a feeling you won't like the brightness (or lack thereof) in these, but they're faithful screenshots from the game. In case you don't recognize them, they're from warcraft II. Grunt, Troll Axethrower, Footman, Elven Archer.
