  1. This is such a fun and fast paced track. The beats here are just incredible. I absolutely loved how the guitar slowly made its way to this otherwise electronic heavy arrangement.
  2. Never did planet navigating sound so edgy in the Mass Effect universe. I’m amazed that these guys were able to take a track that is very simple and soothing, and turn it into what we get right here. I especially love that it doesn’t sound strictly rock. Like with the intro and outro, you know what this is (if you’ve played Mass Effect). It’s respectable to the original source, while the artists still managed to make it their own.
  3. All right, found a dubstep arrangement in my December Reviews Month playlist that sounds great. The arrangement was already great, without having the beat drop, and the original sound clips were cleverly used and incorporated into this track. I even love the “uuugaaahhhh” sound at the end. Great work.
  4. As the track progresses, we go from slow and soothing to a more upbeat presentation of what is soothing. Very experimental, groovy and fun from start to finish. Lovely outro too.
  5. This is a pretty intense interpretation of a Pokemon battle theme. Loved the combination of intense trace with intense chiptunes. It tells a great story too. I hear 1:57 – 2:14 and think “yay, the hero won the battle!” But then starting at 2:16-2:36, the adversary reveals that they are not done yet, and the battle continues. Great track all around.
  6. I can just see a DJ coming out to stage making a grand entrance at the very start of this track, and then saying into a mic “top this” right at the 0:29 mark. The percussion and bass work is outstanding. I want to dance to this, I want to jam to this, I want to rock out to this. The production here is……ahem…..top notch.
  7. I actually like how the distortion blends with the music. It makes Genesis music, or Genesis inspired music sound that much more hardcore than it already was. It’s very intense, insane, and those build ups are so solid.
  8. I love the feeling of rushing through an action packed road trip, or an intense space battle when I listen to this track. The rhythm guitar work here is excellent. I loved the solos, except for the one from 4:32 to 5:02. Seemed a little jarring compared to the rest of the track. Very fun and exciting track.
  9. Ha ha ha….wet dreams. Definitely started out very dreamlike. Then it fades out and you think the dream is over, but then it picks up considerably, and you’re now swimming with all the water type Pokemon peacefully. It’s not bad, but I also love the percussive lullaby pop electronica description.
  10. It’s an interesting interpretation of Forever Rachel. The first minute and a half was very jarring to me, but then the acoustic guitar and the percussion picks up and my interest picks up. It’s a very haunting take on Forever Rachel. Not the best one I’ve heard from this site, but it’s still unique enough to recommend.
  11. This is a pretty intense Magic House. I’d steer clear from it if it’s this intense. But I digress. This is a pretty incredible arrangement. The beats are amazing, and despite the edgy and intense background synths, the main melody still manages to sound whimsical. It’s very mad scientist-esq.
  12. This is so pretty. Very brave of you to combine the track from a game that is still ridiculously popular with a track from a game that isn’t as well known in comparison. The piano and violin work is incredible. I also have to say that it sounded a little cluttered at around the 3 minute mark, but I am still amazed by how wonderful this sounds.
  13. Yeah the piano needed to be louder than the drums for this one, as good as the drums sounded. Volume balancing is the only major gripe I had with this track. If the volume was balanced better, then this would be a flawless track. As it stands though, it’s still a pretty decent track.
  14. I knew this was gonna be dubstep before I read it in the description. I just heard it in the intro. Surprisingly, this wasn’t as “in my face” as dubstep usually is. The wubwub was definitely too thin, as timaeus222 pointed out. The kick-bass was more in my face than the actual wubwub was. Whether I like it or not, dubstep is supposed to make me a little intimidated at the thought of blasting the volume as high as it can.
  15. Man this track is bleeding 80s all over the place. And I love it. The solo from 2:22 to 2:45 was wonderful. It’s so lively and energetic. And I feel like I have a lot of 80s vibes to wash off me after listening to this.
  16. Well, “warped” might be the best way to describe this track. I could also describe this as “swimming in acid.” Not the acid that burns you in horrifying ways, but the acid that messes with your mind. It is so trippy, the glitching is excellent, and it contains references to Reboot. Thumbs up from me.
  17. “Blowing Bubbles in Space.” That totally sounds like something Kirby would do. Space logic be damned. There wasn’t that much to keep me invested in the track, as I would space out while trying to focus on listening to this track. It’s simple and nice, but not compelling enough for me.
  18. Excellent rock track. Actually made me think of Noriyuki Iwadare before I realized he was listed as one of the composers. I think what I would want to say, has already been said a lot from the previous reviewers. So definitely download this track if you like rock, or Ys music. One of the most faithful interpretations of an Ys remix you’ll hear on this site.
  19. The way this track is arranged almost makes me think of Donkey Kong Country, rather than Mega Man. Abstract would definitely be one way to describe it, as there’s a lot going on. But it’s organized so well, that being abstract actually works. Sometimes it’s kind of hard to invest in the melody, but then there are times where the melody sounds flawless. The end result; this is definitely worth checking out.
  20. What an adrenaline rush. The drums (both electronic and ethnic) add a distinctive sound to this mix that makes it stand out from a lot of other Mega Man remixes. Very energetic, and intense. The glitching at 3:07 was a bit overkill, but it’s so instantaneous, I can look passed it.
  21. The piano work here is excellent, and I also love how the acoustic guitars were introduced to the track at the 1:08 mark. The choir work here is excellent as well. It’s as if this track gets better and better the more you listen to it.
  22. This is one of the most compelling orchestrated tracks I’ve heard here. It’s so dreamlike, and whimsical. It’s part Super Mario RPG, part Super Mario Galaxy, and all brilliance. I especially love how the guitar blends with the orchestrated work here.
  23. I love this chiptune funk arrangement of the Light Plane theme. This genre definitely does the theme justice. It may seem like there’s not a lot going on with this track (in terms of synth instruments used), but that kind of simplicity is what makes this arrangement excel.
  24. Fast paced, intense, very much appropriate for an exciting boss battle. There are a few times that it seemed like the percussion sounded low quality, and that struck me as kind of odd. I loved the percussion work, and I wanted all of it to pulse my ears. The way this was produced really does sound like it could be a regular boss battle, so I can forgive how repetitive it can get, because you’d be too busy trying to kill the boss to notice how many times you’ve heard this track.
  25. Oh my God is this track beautiful. This sounds like the ending theme to a long, grand, epic adventure. Was this actually recorded live? Cause in this track, I get a sense of realism in the production of something that sounds orchestrated. If this was wall programmed, you definitely went WAY above and beyond producing something that sounds orchestrated. Flawless in every way. Anybody who loves orchestrated mixes, or is thinking about doing an orchestrated mix needs to download this track.
