Here's what I could do to this in about an hour. BLORGx_2.flp
I just cleaned up the mixing, added some filler fx, and showed a trick with ride cymbals and pitch shifting.

    The People's Remix Competition 439
    PRCv19-01

Hello everyone and Welcome to the People's Remix Competition!
In PRC437 it was Wassup Thunder who got another win and in PRC436 it was Souperion. PRC438 was the 18th anniversary so both got the right to pick a source for PRC439. Time for another season.

Source 1: Melty Blood (PC) - Blood Drain
    https://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/PRC439_Blood Drain.mid
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melty_Blood:_Type_Lumina
Source 2: Mega Man Zero 4 (GBA) - Straight Ahead   https://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/PRC439_MMZ4_Straight_Ahead-Right_System-KM.mid
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_Zero_4

    https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC439

The deadline is Friday February 4th 2022 at 6:59 am ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT), check the link https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC439 for the exact time left. Make sure that the song is uploaded to ThaSauce or that there’s a download link posted in this thread. (+ Two days)
You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that if you use ThaSauce, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix if you use ThaSauce. Of course you can also upload it somewhere else and put a download link in this thread.
Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread.
To participate it is enough to remix one of the sources. Remixing both in one song is encouraged and will be rewarded with a 3 point bonus. Wassup Thunder and Souperion can take part by remixing the source selected by the other or remixing both in one song. They only have a double vote if they don't participate (or mix only their own source).
Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they receive a free first place vote added onto their score.
The winner of this round may select the source for PRC441.

You can find the full rules list at this page as well.

    GOOD LUCK!

haha, chill hobo. this is just for some random fun. maybe join in in a month, when we have a 10 minute contorted frankenstein music baby. take care.
yeah soup, i think you just claim it if you feel inspired to add some shit. first come first served. we can make a rotation list down the road as soon as it gains some traction.
alternatives: everyone who wants to does his own short intro .flp, and then we decide on which one to start with together. or we even start with more than one and have several people working at once on different tracks. it's really down to you guys as well. different things could work, depending on everyone's spirits.
sorry for being flip-floppy and not very official about this, heh. but i'd rather keep this spontaneous and somewhat democratic than make it a set in stone competition thing.

i am already a little annoyed by what i did yesterday...hardly a surprise there. but the simplest way to go about this, i suppose is, to say fuck it and throw nothing away and just get going.
edit: so in case anyone just wants to start with my blorgx.flp, just know that i won't feel offended if you change parts of it. do whatever you like. hell, write an intro for it if you want.

    Welcome to the voting stage
The mixing stage is over. This round has 6 songs. The following people compete against each other:
    AZPX
    Souperion
    Bundeslang
    Hoboka
    Wassup Thunder
    TheVideoGamer

    To vote, do the following:
Visit https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/prc438 and listen to all the entries
Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen or click PM.
Fill in the entries from first to third in the ThaSauce form or fill in your top 3.
    State a reasoning for it.
Participants are encouraged to vote and leave feedback. They get a 3 point bonus, but they are not allowed to vote for their own track.
Always look in this thread to find out who's the winner of the round after the voting stage instead of only looking at ThaSauce for the results.

You have until Wednesday January 19th 2021 10:59 AM ThaSauce time (11:00 UTC, 12:00 GMT) to vote.

If you vote by PM make sure that your top 3 is clear. I prefer something like this:
    (To)
    (Subject)
    PRC 438 Vote
    (Message):
    1: (remixer A )
    2: (remixer B )
    3: (remixer C )

Ok guys as i've said in my description, i uploaded a lower quality bitrate version of the soundtrack, that includes less stuff, and a shorter runtime. This is not the full soundtrack, both to keep in line with the file size of ThaSauce, but also because of time reasons, i didn't have a lot of time to splice together the full thing. Now since the submission on ThaSauce is the lower quality condensed version, i feel it's appropriate to add the full complete package here, in the best quality possible. It also includes the stuff not present in ThaSauce. I didn't add this in at the last minute, all the tracks have been created a while ago. I didn't have the time to upload it all, nor did i have the space, especially for such a low quality ost. The one i'll link to is the high quality version, remember. This was done within PRC deadlines, and it is a free round, so it does mean there's no limitations or restrictions. I hope i didn't go too far, i was just really experimenting, with what i could do. This will be the last time i go this long lol. (It doesn't really say anything about long entries to be fair.) I don't think there is anything more to discuss. Here's the link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tbj68nd4afnp2pe/G-Force High Quality Original Soundtrack Full.mp3?dl=0
Scroll down on this post, to get the tracklisting.
    Tracklisting:
G-Force Activated (Opening Screen) Ready and Waiting (Character Select) What's the Story (Mission Objective) Mind Machine (Stage 1 - The Base) The Attacker  (Stages 1 and 3 Boss Theme) Controlling the Universe (Stage 2 - The Computer) CPU Rave (Stages 2 and 4 Boss Theme) Sunken Waters (Stage 3 - The Caverns) Metropolitan Beats (Stage 4 - The City) Final Frontier (Stage 5 Boss theme) Technological (Stage 5 - Space Station) The Generator (Final Boss) Congratulations (Ending) Well Done (Level Complete) Awesome (Final Boss Complete) Hard Luck (Game Over) Retry (Continue) Found an Item (Item Acquired) Upgrade (Item Powerup) That's all. I hope you enjoy this beast. I think i might have bitten more than i could chew lol, but it was a lot of fun, and something kind of different from me. Thanks for listening!

i had this dream tonight where i met jay and mike from the YT channel redlettermedia in a snowy town.
we made some really bad looking food together and also started on this FL collab idea. i had given them a mediocre 1 minute synth electro track, and they added like 8 bars to it. they did some tiny chiptuney flourishes and used a crappy bassline of mine that i hadn't used, but had left in the project file.
yeah....maybe a sign to get this going, huh? i'll just take inspiration from the dream as far as not trying to do anything flashy or impressive right away. i am very rusty too.

hobo: legacy in software terms kinda means abandoned or not supported anymore, so not really. it looks like we're doing producer edition.
3xosc, FPC, GMS, Drumpad, Sytrus, Harmless. To me those are the most relevant ones. maybe this newer "FLEX" thing is usable too, haven't tried it yet. plus all the samples that are in the "Packs" folder.
since the soundfont player is now 64 bit, we could potentially pick one decent GM soundbank .sf2 that everyone can use. that in itself is pretty powerful with good fx.

Kinda rusty at original works, but might give it a shot.  Legacy FL stuff right? IDK why i posted here when you PM'd me, but might as well show my support here too. Haven't had my caffiene dose yet, so brain go brrrrr
    EDIT
Finally sat down to read the first blurb. Jebus, some days are better than others for me I guess. ADD maybe.
I like the idea of passing around a partially made FLP and adding small snippets to it like hot-potato on crack. Sounds like a blast ?

Since I haven't mixed any song in 9 months or something like that and I also won't think the time to make one I just upload the last song I created, I just discovered that I never uploaded it anywhere so I'll use it for this round.

Submitted my Metroid PINGAS into the round. No YTP soundfiles were used...this time.
Feels good to be back in the zone baby.
    EDIT
Do a remix of Guile's Theme!!  Everything goes with it!! (Holy crap...11 years old?? Where has the time gone)

I like this idea alot. I used to do this years ago with SectionZ.com was still around. I like the basis of the rules so far.
But I wouldnt go with base FL, but at least the Producer Edition (or Full Plugins Edition) if we can. It has alot more to play with so we more wiggle room for creativity.
  16. Thanks

It was pretty fun to hear a bunch of familiar OC remixes put together like this, and the organ work was quite impressive. A great listen!

we'll just see how many people have just "Fruity" Edition. i personally think using just the basic shit is especially fun, but if everyone has Producer, no reason not to include it.
CPU usage is also kind of important. the Producer plugins are all older i think, so that wouldn't be a problem. but still, if you just want to make a basic sinewave lead, for example, no reason not to do it in 3xOsc.
in other words: if you make the CPU meter jump from 10 to 30% with one single added section, and that translates to 99% for the next guy, then not good
