My friend has an anime club, he's about to shut it down for that very reason. People keep bringing minors, little kids specifically. He's like 35, and most of the guys in the club are around there, but it's random when 15 year olds walk in. specifically girls because in all my experience anime fanboys can't just be cool around women.

I'm just a casual Smash fan and in Melee i used Link. People always say he's a cheese character. So for Brawl i want to start off fresh and learn a character that people will actually recognize. I know most tourny people use Marth and it seems like Pit is going to be a good character as well. So who should i learn? and what characters are banned from tournaments?

Least it's only 13 episodes. I found it entertaining but it's pretty garbage overall. The guy with the samurai sword was pretty cool, story should have been more about him. Speaking of fan service has anyone ever watched najica? I have the first dvd somewhere and it's pretty decent i guess. Does it get any better? (first dvd is probably first 4 eps)

I went to pick it up today from gamestop and they didn't even fucking have it. Though i did get a little artbook thing. I'll pick it up tomorrow (ps3 version). The demo seems really cool. I only ever played the first and second DMC's. I beat 1, played 2 til almost the end and i got a couple levels into 3. DMC 3 seemed to be the one that had a lot of story elements. Seems there were several new characters introduced and story arcs that stayed in the canon storyline (unlike 2). I'm considering playing through 3 before i play 4.

I started and finished watching Gurren Lagann. Where the hell did this show come from? I guess it's from last year and I've never really seen it mentioned anywhere. It's really really good. It's a sci-fi-ish story based in a post apocalyptic world where humanity is forced to live underground because the surface is ruled by Beastmen who pilot Ganmen (mechs). I recommend it, lots. Started watching GTO Great Teacher Onizuka. It's pretty decent though the show starts off kind of different than the actual outcomes. I'm on episode 20 or so and at the beginning he starts off wanting to become a teacher so he can get with high school chicks but he becomes a serious (well not that serious) teacher it seems like.

I haven't been following Brawl much during development. Sure i checked the Dojo occasionally and was happy when they put Olimar in the game. But this "final" roster seems pretty shit to me. I was expecting a lot more. I think the Casual Smash fans may be disapointed yet the Hardcore will still find the game they love.

I've played Resistance and it's quite good. I wouldn't peg it as a must own though I've been thinking that Resistance is like Sony's Halo. Resistance 2 is going to be awesome. I'm much more excited for it than Killzone2. Just personal opinion though.

I've got 6 ps3 games now; ratchet, uncharted, warhawk, folklore, eye of judgement and burnout paradise and DMC4 soonish. Uncharted and ratchet are highly recommended. I still can't beat the last boss in ratchet and clank future though.

Damn this thread is sad. Burnout Paradise is out for ps3 (and 360). anyone else pick it up? I got that and Eye of Judgement (for the camera which is heavily featured in Burnout). I need to beef up my PSN friends list anyone want to add me? The name is tragick. Only other multiplayer game i have is Warhawk.

I thought the movie was fantastic. I'd watch it again but the beginning seems like you would fast forward through for repeated watchings. Loved the monster even though I'm not sure what it really looked like. I tried googling for a picture but didn't find anything concrete. Cannot wait for a sequel. Though in the sequel they had better spill the beans on the monsters origins. I hope it doesn't turn out like everything JJ Abrams touches and only makes you have twice as many questions as before.

I'm really enjoying persona trinity soul, the opening and closing is really great. Music is top notch. I've been wanting to watch Gurren Lagann but i don't have it.

I use soma because it's the name of a Strokes song and they are my favorite band. A lot of people think it's from Castlevania, or I'm like a huge dope addict (soma is also a drug) . Also some people think it's from soma apparel which apparently makes bras and lingerie and stuff. I use Tragick on most other forums and videogames if Soma is taken. Used to be tragicked. The idea came from final fantasy XI believe it or not. One of the items you need to collect at level 18 to get your sub job is called "magicked skull" and i came up with "tragicked" but later dropped the ed to avoid mispronunciations and to keep it simple for xbox live.

I don't like Akira personally. I do own the special edition DVD and i can appreciate it as a "masterpiece" because it's well done and for the time it was groundbreaking and amazing or whatever. It's not really my cup of tea though. If i were having this conversation in real life my friends would argue "what, because it doesn't have tits?" and then i would say "yeah but it did have tits!" On the topic of bad animes, I haven't really watched any that I hated. Though i tried to watch Lucky Star one time, and i wanted to blow my brains out. But i'm sure it's a rather good anime (for stupid people).

Gundam Wing was the first Gundam series that i was really exposed to though I had basic knowledge of what Gundam was all about. I'm probably in the minority here but as far as Gundam is concerned for me 1 Gundam Wing 2 Gundam 08th Ms Team 3 Gundam seed 4 Seed Destiny 5 Original gundam There's so many gundam series that I can't remember which ones i really liked at the moment. I hated most of the zeon vs earth, i forget what they are called, but i liked the alternate universe series's more. Also I agree Devil May Cry was a pretty bitchin' Game-anime conversion.

I can't believe i haven't mentioned Beck (mongolian chop squad). It's probably my favorite, It's about a japanese rock band that's trying to make it big. It's so very awesome, sweet soundtrack too. Did anyone watch the Xenosaga anime? I tried a couple of times and couldn't really stomach it. I played all 3 of the games but i couldn't get into the anime since it was basically the first game. Same with Disgaea though i still want to see rhat. Speaking of animes of games Persona Trinity Soul just started to air in japan, first episode is pretty cool.

If you watched an episode you would understand. A tennis match can take a couple episodes sometimes, most times in a good way. The characters all have amazing techniques that are highly unrealistic. It's like a fighting game meets tennis. It's much more entertaining than actual Tennis.

I used to say the same thing about Prince of Tennis. Though that show is fucking amazing. It's way too long though, like 200 episodes and counting. You should give it a shot at least.

They have so many good songs. My favorite is probably Business time. They have a cool Lord of the Rings one called "frodo don't wear the ring" also.

I started watching "Get Backers". I never paid much attention to it but it's really more enjoyable and deep than i thought it would be. I too just started reading High School of the Dead, would make an awesome anime. I'm gonna try to check out "spice and Wolf" also. I started watching H20 footprints in the sand, pretty cool so far.

I'm a little disapointed to find out that the 360 gets Yoda and Vader is over on the PS3. I was hoping you could pit them against each other at least. I could really care less about Star Wars characters in a fighting game though it'll be the best SW fighter ever. I'm trying to think of better characters that I'd like to see in SC4 but I'm having trouble thinking of any. Raiden from MGS would be a good one since he uses a Katana. I suppose Master Chief with the sword could be on 360 but that sounds lame as hell. Microsoft doesn't exaclty have many characters with melee weapons.

I agree with this. I watched up until episode 30 or so and kind of stopped caring. Though it was a very different show than i thought it was going to be when i started watching. Claymore is an awesome show, dunno if anyone recommended it. It's very Berserk-ish in more ways than one. Like Berserk the anime doesn't encompass the entire manga series and at the end of episode 26 there is no resolution. Claymore manga is still ongoing though so heres hoping for season 2.

So there's this story going around on digg.com about how Nintendo tech support told someone to smack their wii-mote to fix the accelerometer. Little did i know that i could have been a digg superstar because the exact same thing happend to me about December of last year. I think i posted it in this thread, actually. Kind of funny still.

Theres been a lot of good stuff mentioned in this thread. Helped me get out of a musical rut so to speak. I enjoyed zero 7, massive attack and ratatat.
