Okay, having seen the hilarity of the team developments, might as well provide bios for the (Skybound) Bad Guy Robots from Mega Man and how we mean business and partial villainy in spite of a weak team name --- PLANT MAN {Pilot: Rexy) Current Hideout: Forest of Bowland, England Likes: Inner beauty, companionship, bright colors Dislikes: Being left out, pollution, Super Mario RPG Current Gaming Spree: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure A striving and creative Robot Master with the determination to stand tall amongst the crowd, Plant Man was ultimately outcasted from his original home of the Forgotten Area in Brazil due to deforestation. Crushed and bitter about his lost home, he spent the years since in hiding, waiting for the day that he would ever gain the mental strength required to reclaim his rightful home. The Wily Gauntlet drafted him in as a means for him to bite back against the dangers of modern day technology and world damages. Thinking that it meant to change up her act, she literally spent all her non-sleeping, non-eating and non-toileting hours perfecting her act, which at this point has resulted in nothing but a disgruntled audience. Considered a musical outcast, she saw the Wily Gauntlet as an opportunity to reclaim the fame she lost. She refuses to go easy with her laser trident in hand, and with every ounce of willpower and desperation in her, Splash Woman's approach to the gauntlet would be far from tentative! --- And yes, us three are for some reason playing games with the word 'Sky' in the title during this competition.

Sorry I couldn't take part this time (was buggered down with more stuff on my plate, and would be moreso with the Wily Gauntlet coming), but I shall at least be able to stick around and vote. For the record, I DID have an idea to down an entire bottle of Smirnoff Ice and write/perform a polka cover of 'I Am the Wind' in the space of one night. Guess the world may never see it now xP

Due to various real life conflicts, the Bad Guy Robots have a tentative mixer order for the first three rounds - Brandon first, then me, then HL (assuming that's fine with everyone involved). Though, this would depend on what days between the 29th and November 19th that Ben would be unavailable

Having covered a lot of Mana in the past (a medley for the DoD, couple of tracks on OLR and something in the PRC) I'm game for this one. I call dibs on Color of the Summer Sky ^_~

That is a very valid point and one that takes me back to the rhythm gaming communities (Guitar Hero in particular) - fun to play, but otherwise so painfully elitist. When I first got GH World Tour, what I was hoping to do was to just start on Easy, with the eventual goal of passing everything on Expert guitar (which finally happened just over a year ago when I passed 'Satch Boogie' on Expert for the first time). Along the way to keep improving, and somehow being stumped at some of the expert charts that would take me mere weeks/months to build up the dexterity to manage, I cited Youtube vids for some of the charts, and to see some of those people hitting every single note on some of the harder songs being all "this is too easy/boring to play" (the Ozzy Osbourne tracks in the game in particular), all it was was more inspiration to try and keep improving my methods, even though there were some songs on expert that I couldn't pass for a long time. Then when Guitar Hero 5 came out with the opportunity to play online with different instruments (in which around that time my best 'pass' was 'Bark at the Moon'), that gave me the chance to be more flexible with my playing style. But it annoyed me so much that there would even be many people coming online to pick songs that they would be completely unable to play, AT ALL. And I even noticed a handful of people that couldn't even pass some of the easier songs on medium or something daft. And even if you consider yourself good, you'd still have painfully hard customs to tell you otherwise and the sadistic attitudes behind them. So basically, whether you're a rookie or a very skilled gamer who invested a lot of time into the game, you just can't win at rhythm gaming either.

Under Ben's command, I've changed my avatar for the course of this contest. (Don't worry Crash Bandicoot, you'll be back in your rightful place soon enough.) And epic back story Jason; now I guess I can't imagine Robbie without a bottle of whiskey in his hand instead of a microphone

Care to explain why Hylian Lemon and Rozovian lost their sole first picks of Crystal Man and Top Man respecively? I'm under the assumption everyone will get their first pick if they aren't conflicting with another person.

@Rozovian: I can arrange for colors if a team wants something specific. I do understand what you mean with the gallery though; basically I was paying more attention to the 250px height limit (this one is 200px), though if you got recommendations for how tall the signatures should be, I'm all ears.

In regards to individual competitor banners, an idea somehow struck for me as I was coming home from a wedding this morning. Tried it out in GIMP as well to see how it would come out: If this design would work out, then I'm up for forming 35 images similar to this one

If you have a MIDI controller or USB keyboard, the best way to go about it would be to play the piano part yourself. Some piano patches do indeed come with a stereo field to work with so individually panning each note doesn't seem necessary. That's most likely to be the best way to make it feel as human as possible. If you don't have one, I suggest you save up for one - some are fairly inexpensive, though this should be a good start on what to ideally go for. They would help you a lot if you're going to be working with key-based sounds often.
