  1. Wow, soc. This is the first time I'm telling someone over the OCR boards to get asio4all driver, so...who is this everyone? B.G.C. also said that it's impossible to play with his current setup. Impossible to play...that sounds a little EXTREME, don't you think? If it makes you feel better, it SOUNDS as if it's a latency problem. You should lower it enough so that you can play realistically and not kill your CPU. My advice works for me, it might work for you. ...proceed with caution?
  2. get Asio4all and install it in FL, Option > Audio Setting Under output, select Asio4all, then select 'Show ASIO panel, and put the buffer size to 256, and it should play fine.
  3. if this is true, then let me be the first to say you lucky son of a bitch.
  4. Can FL not run on Mac?? (this would be news to me)
  5. I'm pretty sure FLStudio CAN do most, if not all the stuff you mentioned on the list. Grantted the 'in box' samples suck ass, and even some of the synths are kinda weak, but you build from that. Plus Fruity Producer is 149 american. FLStudio XXL is 361 (you get Sytrus and Directwave and a whole bunch of other goodies goodies though.) Soo, yea, my 2 cents.
  6. I've had reaktor for a while now. I do not dare do anything extremly complicated with it yet, but I have used the ensembles, more specifically the synthesizer (2xOsc = <3) and effects (analogue filter box = <3) Slowly though, I'm learning a bit more and more. Trial and error type of thing. I should check out the community though and see what other people have been doing. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. Everyone take a seat and please be quiet. class.... Class???? SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you. Today we are going to watch a video on basic electronic music.....stuff Part I Part II Part III Class dismissed.
  8. It all depends on what the soundfont is: --> Extra eqing on the font could help. --> Adding reverb can give it realistic room (as long as you don't over do it) --> Adding chorus on strings can make them sound fuller --> Adding distortion to a guitar might help with the heavy metal sound You don't have to just use FX either. Varying the velocities in the notes would help make it a piano more realistic, pitch bending a slight vibrato on a guitar wouldn't hurt, off timing notes by 1/6 of a second can also help. I believe zircon made a tut at one point on how to make a piano sound real. Esentially it's the same with most any other insturment.
  9. In progress: Earthworm Jim Electro Rock remix NiGHTS Intro Dreams... Dance remix To-Do: FFX-2 Trance remix Near future: Super Mario RPG Glitch remix More pointless glitch remixes.
  10. Ya, this is fairly old. Rayza showed me this a while back. Although it is cool, I don't really use it as often as I could. I perfer killing my music with other plugins, but the strecher and tapestop are really neat.
  11. You wouldn't get that new clean desk smell though =( Plus it would probably look like shit and break under the weight of everything I probably have something from IKEA too....yup
  12. HELP WANTED I really really really really would like an electric guitarist. An air guitar solo guitarist to be a bit more specific. You don't have to play really fast or make something extremely complicated (though it would be cool if you can). I need no more then 2 minutes of solo work. I've pretty much 'made' the notation and such, I just need awesome sound and awesome guitar playing. Anyone who is interested please PM me, please if possible include an example of what you can do and how long it will take for you to do it. Thanks =)
  13. Lez see... Software: FLStudio 6 Spectrasonic Stylus RMX Spectrasonic Trilogy Spectrasonic Atmosphere NI Komplete 3 Keyboards: Yamaha PSR-20 Casio CT-670 (currently with a friend who said he would use it for a week....it's been about 3 weeks =\) Edirol PCR-80 Synthesizer: Roland SH-32 Guitar: Squire Fender yup
  14. Insert vinyl on turntable. Choose the correct speed. Press Start/Play/Rotate on turntable. Begin to adjust speed with left or right hand by moving the vinyl clockwise or counter-clockwise. Place and move the other hand on the mixer slider to fade in and out. Repeat when necessary. P.S., you can't really make music with a turntable. You can PLAY music. You can cut and repeat segments in music. You could probably make weird sounds aswell.
  15. Studio Setup (Before) Studio Setup (After) Not much is really difference between the two. However, it is a 3g Difference D=!
  16. Zoola, will your parents adopt me? That looks like a pretty sweeeeet studio. Can't really add on to what people have said here. I will say however, we should do a Komplete 3 remix collab or something, cause....that's like the only thing we have in commen appearently =o 2 24" LCDs.....sweet jesus....
  17. Even though I can't play gutiar that well, those looks pretty sexy. On a new note, I was able to pick up NI Komplete 3 and Atmosphere, both have which put me in debt for another 2 years D=.
  18. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeebus!!! I wonder how much **** would I have to **** to get all that? =o
  19. As we look above the red circle in this picture, we see the little word 'snap' followed by a selection with the word 'line' in it. You probably have none. Change it to line.
  20. of course the PCR-50 isn't reliable. so go with the PCR-80 I personally don't use any of the knobs or sliders. One reason being I've never learned how to. The second reason being.....well, there really is no second reason... I use mouse to modify anything that needs modification, and automation clips for anything that needs automation. I suppose if I were to learn how to play live, it would come in handy.
  21. I meant I could have gone with the PCR-A30 or the PCR-80, and I went with the 80. and that sucks getting it at full price D=
  22. Hey, now there's another PCR-80 owner! (aside from the ubiquitous PCR-30 owners) Is that the PCR-M80 or just the PCR-80? PCR is definitely the most cost effective option for a 61-key MIDI controller, IMHO, so you made the right choice But, you might ask, what were the fates of Rellik's holiday-season haul? (sorry about the sentence structure, I'm doing a Latin essay right now... if you can guess what parallel I seem to have drawn, you've probably read the Aeneid). As a Birthday/Hanukkah gift from my parents, I received the illustrious Miroslav Philharmonik software produced by the united forces of IK Multimedia and Sonic Reality. And a watch, and an amusing calendar, because how can you make music if you don't even know what time it is? How will you know when it's time for music? If I get the full scholarship that I'm hoping against hope for, then I'll be back to tell you all of the amazing abundances of software and hardware I'll be buying. Just a plain PCR-80. It was either this, or a PCR-A30. Since I got it off of Novamusik, a reading the little description off the site, they're pretty much the same thing (PCR-(M)80), they were (and still are) having a special on the PCR-80 and since I don't have a controller, decided to pick one up =)
  23. Personally, I would look into buying hardware used, and software at factory direct prices. Software is pretty easy to manipulate, have the CD's scratch, forget a reg. number and all that stuff, while hardware all that can go wrong is not having a power supply, or a knob is broken. Though, personally, I've yet to buy anything used =\ . All the stuff came new or was given to me by my dad. Getting back to the topic, I've gotten Edirol PCR-80, StylusRMX and Trilogy =D .
