Magus was a breeze. As was Lavos, if you actually bothered to complete all the side quests. Queen Zeal at the end of the black omen, though, she was fucking hard. Dark Link in OOT was just fun. In fact, I wish that game had a 2-player battle mode (preferably one which doesn't allow the use of shields) so you could have battles like that whenever. The Axem rangers in SMRPG owned my ass the first 20348752093578 times I fought them.

My collabs with the prophet have mostly come about like this: ME: (starts a mix) ME: (gets bored) ME: (sucks at arranging percussion and bass anyway) ME: I wonder if Brad wants to collab on this one... THE PROPHET OF MEPHISTO: (signs on to AIM) ME: (sends the prophet a midi-WIP) ME: FINISH MY MIX FOR ME, BITCH! My collab with Usa came about like this: ME: I have an awesome idea, but I suck at arranging percussion and bass. Anybody wanna collab? USA: sure. The collab I'm currently working on with Zircon came about in more or less the same way my collabs with the prophet did. As for "Lover Reef," just read the writeup.

If you'd like to know specifically how certain mixers make their songs, check this topic. Of course, there are tons of remixers that haven't posted there, but there are some pretty big names that have.

Cute. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely worth a listen. Sorry, but I don't think that's gonna happen. An earlier (shitty) recording of it got rejected, and several judges said that even if the recording quality was improved, it still probably wouldn't make it on.

Thanks The mandolin during the rap section isn't me; in fact, it isn't even a real mandolin. Zircon gets credit for that.

Usually, an idea for a mix will just come out of nowhere, and I'll sit down and record what's going through my head.

Abso-fuckin'-lutely. You are well within your rights to make that decision, but I hope you will reconsider. Feedback for this has been more positive than negative, and for what it's worth, I think your performance in this mix (and all your other mixes) was absolutely beautiful. EDIT: Thanks, linearity. That needed to be said.

Ugh. Fuck you. I SAID I knew it wasn't perfect, given the circumstances. Let's hear some of your performances, how about that? I'm sure you're a superb musician. Wow let me give you one more piece of advice. Swearing at your critics isn't a sign of maturity. Neither is insisting on getting in the last word after your point has already been made.

I can more or less guarantee that there will be future Taucer/Trix mixes. In fact, I would like very much to do more collaborations with any or all of the lover reef crew.

It seems like a common question asked by people new to the forums is "what program does (remixer) use." While we have a lot of threads about what can be used, one has to do a bit of searching in some cases to find out what specific remixers actually DO use. And honestly, I'm also curious as to what some of my fellow remixers use. So why not start a thread where remixers simply say what programs/gear/whatever they use in their remixes? Could be used to educate n00bs and satisfy the curiosity of veterans as well. I'll kick it off.
