Please take me off the list. Sorry, but I'm going to be way too busy in August. -

OCR02003 - Donkey Kong Country 2 "A New Place"
Nicole Adams replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I will never provide instrumental versions of my music because removing the vocals would destroy the feeling I was going for. The lyrics tell a story about where Diddy and Dixie are headed both physically and emotionally; both are reasons why the song is called "A New Place." The shifting to the major key represents Diddy and Dixie overcoming the dangers that lie in Crocodile Cauldron and lyrically, their feelings towards one another have developed. The music and lyrics benefit from one another throughout the entire song. I'm glad most of you enjoy this. Thank you to my collaborators who did an awesome job. I also need to thank Geoffrey Taucer and Bahamut for selecting my track as part of the initial flood, and for their and djp's great write-ups. I'm really happy I was able to be a part of the project since DKC2 has one of my favorite video game soundtracks and was composed by my favorite video game composer, David Wise. -

I like this date better because it gives me more time to prepare for school, which also involves moving. -

I was going to say we should have a schedule, but starla beat me to it. As she said, keep it loose, but meet up for dinner, shows and other "big" things. Also, add me to zee list! -

I'm pretty sure I can make it (no Mexico, though). I just need to see when my fall semester starts. I believe it starts the week after this happens. I plan to hitch a ride with starla and co. and stay with my sister. I'm also not into strip clubs, gambling, drinking, etc., but I don't mind hanging out with people who do want to gamble. Woo, cheapest trip evar, ftw. EDIT: I've stayed at Harrah's a bunch of times and find it to be a great mid-range hotel and a step up from Imperial Palace. They're right next door to each other so if some of you wanted to stay at IP and some of you wanted to stay at Harrah's, hooking up wouldn't be much of a problem. If you'd really like to go all out there is MGM Grand (where I've also stayed at least half a dozen times) and Bellagio. -
DVD Shrink Audio and Subpicture Questions

Cool, thanks. -
Good luck to you (and Jill) in your future endeavors. It's time for the big time now. All that tenacity will surely pay off.

Yay, due to the special, more newbies will be playing Left 4 Dead on expert. A few days ago I was in an expert game with a guy who didn't know how to turn the flashlight on/off. Oh well, at least the newbs can make the game more exciting.

Artist Remixes 2009 & Other News
Nicole Adams replied to Nicole Adams's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Bump. I am now working on a Lady Gaga remix. I'll upload a demo to SoundCloud once it's further along. -
I have a WD TV media player that I would like to use to play my DVDs in ISO format. I plan to rip only the main movie. I am not sure if I should rip in 5.1 or 2.0 audio. I don't plan to ever upgrade to 5.1, but eventually I am going to buy a 3.1 soundbar system. I think 5.1 would still be the way to go, but wouldn't a 2.0/3.1 audio setup cause a 5.1 mix to sound off? My second question is: If I disable all subpicture, including English, would that cause all subtitles to be lost? For example, text giving the location of an area and text translating spoken dialog that is in a different language than the main movie. I of course do not want this to happen, but I do not want subtitles to be in the entire movie, just the ones that are in the movie by default. Google sort of answered my audio question, but I would like to be sure on this. I hope you can help!

SNSD, Lady Gaga, and Britney Megamix
Nicole Adams replied to Robotaki's topic in Post Your Original Music!
This is great. Everything flows together nicely and it made those Lady Gaga and Britney Spears tracks listenable. -
Here is something I did awhile back that I've yet to add the finishing touches to. It's an original, but you can still use it if you want.

A friend of mine gifted me Beyond Good & Evil. I already have a hard copy, but I'd rather have a digital copy so I don't have to deal with discs. I'll probably pick up the Oddworld Pack for that same friend and me for five bucks total. I never played it when it came out. :\ I probably won't pick up anything else unless something catches my eye in the daily deals.
