  1. Do you want a slice player like Dr Rex, or a Slice Maker? What are you doing with the sliced audio? Rearranging the slices or just using it for time stretching? ReCycle is a standalone slicer that makes rex files. Lots of plugins can read these files such as Cakewalk RXP, Cakewalk Dimension Pro, probably a lot of the commercial drum samplers, and I'm sure plenty I don't know about. There is one slick vsti plug that is able to import, slice, and then play back the sliced stuff like dr rex all by itself. It's called LiveSlice.
  2. Heheh. Compy carries a purse. Acid Pro 6 was announced. Actually looks like it may not be totally incompetent for virtual instruments and MIDI like before. I'll have to watch this one.
  3. Maybe I'll talk to Gray about it and see if I can write something up for him to mod in.
  4. Did you get it? I don't think a used purchase will count with NI as a new purchase. It's a liscense transfer. Won't you have to register the serial and then they'll check their records? Seems unlikely to me that you'll get that deal.
  5. Couple questions: 1) What's the details on the legal stuff? Liscencing, etc. 2) Will links to mp3 files in an email be sufficient for submission, or is the best way to send in a demo CD? PS - thought you might like to know - there's a typo in the flier: "Well Make it happen" should be "We'll"
  6. There's some sweet stuff on the propellerheads site actually. I've got some way old tips on my site in the tutorials section that Nicole linked to. I'm gonna add to that sometime I hope. If you want to buy a book, I really recommend "Powertools for Reason __" by Kurt Kurazaki(I got it when the current version was 2.5...dunno if there is a new edition or not). This is different from Reason __ Power. It assumes you have the basics already and shows a lot of slick tricks and inventive routings and whatnot.
  7. Are you gaming or making music? If you're making music I would suggest the Echo Indigo IO. It is quite nice.
  8. BT is working on some effects plug that does some variation of his crazy stutter edits. I bet it will be the shit, but that technique is going to become 100% overused in about five minutes.
  9. This mix is the bizniss. Production quality is through the roof. The White Skies on the PMM Trance Album is my favorite, but that's just my stylistic preference.
  10. Behringer Ub1202 Mixer Shure SM57 mic Sony MDR 7506 headphones Dimension Pro upgrade(didn't think I'd get that too...I lucked out this year) And my dog jumped on my laptop (that I do my music on) and busted the LCD I might be able to get it fixed for free though.
  11. I think a new synth or an update to subtractor is in order. Subtractor is good, but really thin sounding compared to similar vsti's you can get for free. Software synthesis has improved since subtractor was made (three years ago or something?). Subtractor 2.0 or something would be nice. I'd like to be able to load wavs into the Malstrom instead of just using the supplied waveforms.
  12. Its in the list of things to insert along with all the synths and effects. If you have Reason 3.0. It's new. Otherwise I don't think there is a way to control more than one synth.
  13. Put them both in the same combinator.
  14. On my Mac, it's Option-Click. It'll give you an automation lane. I think that's Alt-Click on the PC. If you alt-click a parameter, it'll give you the appropriate lane. Don't forget to create a sequencer track for the module first, though. A really awesome trick with the Combinator though is that you can assign pretty much every single parameter to the knobs in the programmer, and then automate the combinator knobs and buttons. If you do this, you can start automating things that you normally wouldn't be able to automate, like the Malstrom Modulation wave shapes or the DDL delay steps. I think his issue was just that Reason doesn't produce a sequencer track automatically for effects like it does instruments. Myth, just make a new sequencer track and link it to your effect machine and the right clickin' will work. And yeah, those two paramaters were automateable before heh. What the combi lets you do that wasn't possible before (besides all the awesome convenience) is hook cv signals to the combi knobs which then control a synth or effect parameter that wasn't CV'able before.
  15. I'm gonna go on for a little bit right now.
  16. I haven't really played with the clan much. And when i have, it's always lame sniper games or something. I like to play straight up team slayer. That's what I love. I've been on a lot recently. Prolly be on tomorrow sometime.
  17. anyone playing tonight? I'm about to go on and i've been drinking a bit. Good stuff.
  18. If you have another disc drive in your computer, try that one. or Try exploring the CD and copying the orkester.rfl into your Reason program folder. or Contact propellerhead tech support.
  19. That's my name! Rory Rightmyer says Planet3 FTW!!! Goddammit. Congratumalations!
  20. Yeah, the nnxt loads soundfonts. VST's are something different.
  21. concatenate? wha... eh? concatenate?... Get a dictionary?
  22. Aurora and Rayza: you might know this already, but some info about how to get the album has changed. Get the skinny why here: http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=57969 But if you mention where to get my album any more, mention that it's now $11.95 with free shipping (which ends up cheaper than before) and just mention my www.supergreenx.com url for more info. Cdbaby isn't my preferred way for people to get the album anymore. Thanks a bunch.
