  1. I'm just going to say, if you only do one thing, do this. Miéville is absolutely perfect.
  2. I was going to post that. I'm almost done with my submission as well. Just fleshing it out from my last barebones draft so the subtext comes out more effectively.
  3. You have not seen my hallmate. He murdered with Yoshi in Melee and he murders even more so in Brawl.
  4. I don't think anything in this game is funnier than KO'ing someone with the spring from Sonic's up+B (if you use it in mid-air, it falls, and if it hits someone on its way down it can really send them flying).
  5. Then your opinions (all of them) are entirely invalid.
  6. Come on guys, boss battles aren't that hard. Charizard + Rock Smash = win. As for finishing them with every character, well... I'll leave that up to you.
  7. You couldn't bring them back into your party. It was only that you saw them return in the ending sequence when everyone is sending their wishes up to you.
  8. How are you pulling this off? I would love to know.
  9. Charizard's Rock Smash anyone? Four solid hits and Master Hand is out. Charizard is basically the best way to tackle Boss Battles, ever.
  10. You didn't submit a poem about Avatar here, because that would have been rejected. But as long as the characters and setting are your own design, and the story hasn't been written before, anything will qualify (whether you make them stand on their own, without outside explanation, is of course a challenge whether the characters and setting are recycled or not; that's part of the difficulty in writing anyway).
  11. Less than six hours for me now. Everyone who's getting it and plans on playing online tonight is going to be in #clanocr, right? Right?
  12. I just realized that midnight for me is 3 AM for you East Coasters... freaking Daylight Saving Time.
  13. What did they say, exactly? Because I didn't think twice about it after I asked the employees to make sure the one in our mall was opening at midnight, but after my friend (who also reserved it there) was so reluctant to believe me when I told him about it, I'm curious.
  14. Well, it would be just as accurate to replace your name with Arek's or Atma's or, well, a lot of people. I have no delusions about my own abilities!
  15. I am fully confident in my ability to lose to you G-T!
  16. As long as they're your original creations, if you can introduce characters and work a story with them in the contest limit (2500 words), feel free to submit it. Just don't rely on the comic book to explain the story or anything like that. EDIT: My reasoning for this, in case anyone is going to ask, is that the regulations of the contest stipulate that "you should write something new within the time frame of the submission stage" (emphasis added). This has no bearing on whether or not your ideas are fresh during that time frame. That would, after all, be a ridiculous rule, since it's fairly difficult to a) come up with any completely original idea, no matter how long you're given, and do so on command within just a few short weeks (and then write a polished story with the idea). So, since it's quite a challenge to convert a full-fledged comic book (the idea) into a independent short story (writing the idea), given the time and word constraints we have here, I would allow it.
  17. I will I totally will but I will suck because I refuse to play shiek again until I have played the crap out of diddy and dedede
  18. I'm only glad they have a midnight release because it's the most convenient time for me to pick up my copy before Monday night. It probably won't do much good for my sleeping that night, though.
  19. hey guys am i cool enough 2 join teh party
  20. I went ahead and got it anyway, since I was there to reserve Brawl and had some extra credit. Also, about the ending of Phoenix Wright 3: the game was, throughout, entertaining. However, at the end of the fourth case and the very beginning of the fifth case I really thought the whole thing would just fizzle out, which was disappointing to me after all the hype about how well it concludes the series. Safe to say, though, that the last case progressively blew my mind again and again. My conclusion is that there is no reason for anyone to avoid playing all three of those games. Together, they are nigh unto perfection.
  21. I don't think so. For one thing, the fact that the votes can be split up between anywhere from two to six different entries means each entry isn't necessarily getting an "even" number of points. For another, even if having even points to distribute were to have some effect, this would be negated by the fact that outsiders get an odd number. It was just a really huge coincidence that the votes turned out the way they did. And is that really a problem? After all, perhaps it's just an accurate reflection of evenly matched skill in the writers--writing skill is, after all, what the whole voting system is supposed to measure.
  22. The competition is begun, as of a little over an hour again. Get to work, everyone!
  23. Anybody get Apollo Justice yet? I'm just finishing up Phoenix Wright 3 tonight and wondering if the new stories, characters and gameplay justify the price to buy it new (seeing as I got all the Phoenix Wright games discounted/used).
  24. Yeah. That doesn't make it less broken in MKDS.
  25. Crap, I still haven't gone out to pre-order this.
