  1. Welcome, Zircon's got the link to mIRC on the first post, go ahead and download that, and if you have any questions, ask around in the help forum, they'll set you straight. After that, it seems our first actuall run with our primaries will be Friday night, but we do some informal alt runs for Schnitzengiggles whenever we feel like it. You'll love it here.
  2. This is by far my favorite song on the CT soundtrack, and Neil really does it justice. The nature of the song makes it good for a simple, clean remix such as this. The guitar is excellent, and the concept of the song is very solid. Good Job.
  3. I love the sound of the Masamune being drawn at 0:25, that really screams Frog. It's the little details like that that separate this mix from the countless other techno mixes out there.
  4. This suits perfectly the idea for Enhansa. It's a sublime combination of jazz, funk, and electronica. Worth the download.
  5. bLiNd's first ReMix was truly a prelude of things to come. A little rougher than his later submissions, but still undeniably well made. It's got more of a liquid feel to it. Just sublime.
  6. I love the sequencial nature of the piece. It encompasses the entire first quarter of the game in a nutshell. I love this mix, just like the entire Chrono Symphonic CD, Great Job guys.
  7. Well, I got done with classes earlier than expected. If any of ya'll want to play tonight, I'm down. Let me know so we can get things set up.
  8. I can play tonight. I get done with class at 5:30 PT.
  9. I really love the way he brings the guitars up around 1:05. It really gives it the underwater machinery feel to it. It's an excellent mix.
  10. Very interesting execution. Taking a orchestral piece, such as Kingdom Trial and making it into a Dance tune is common, but rarely do people still maintain the link to the orchestral segment of the original track.
  11. Star Salzman put together one of the most impressive mixes on this site in "Pillar of Salt" That said, this is almost as good, it defies conventional genres in so many ways, and really conveys the darkness of the Battle with Magus.
  12. I love the interaction between the three levels of guitar, and the subtle incorperation of Frog's Theme was amazing.
  13. It's a very light mix. He makes great use of the bells throughout the piece. And the flute in the back links the individual chimes together. Well Done.
  14. I'm sad now... Seriously, I ship out to IET, and come back to find out like a quarter of the board got banned in the Sidebar Jihad, and then within a month, the Forums shifts, Unmod gets nuked, and VGDJ goes belly up. I seriously feel like I did when WizKids took over Battletech, I'll get used to it, but it won't be the same. Anyhow, Newcomers, enjoy the new OCR!
  15. I could make late night on the weekends work. Uh, quick question, when we start posting times to meet online, what Time Zone are we using? That might come into play.
  16. Think of it more like an online meetup. For pre-planned Demon Smiting. It's basically an extension of an IRC channel.
  17. My National Guard unit was doing MOUT training, and I spent a few minutes looking around for a cardboard box. Then I realized how dumb an idea that was.
  18. Sounds good. Zircon should set up the obligatory account list on the 1st page, I look forward to a little good clean Demon Smiting.
  19. People like you were why I quit playing for a few years. Ya'll made Diablo II into a damn arms race, and it wasn't worth the frustration trying to keep up. On a sidenote, I just fired up the old bNet account. Jeez things have changed. This is going to take some getting used to.
  20. Or he's testing your indomitable spirit.
  21. Sounds like fun, time to dust of the old discs. Account name is DragonFireKai. EDIT: I'll run a paladin for this.
  22. I'm not a fan of Drum and Bass, but this is a fine piece if you're into Dn'B.
  23. Hoobastank is more Alternative rock. If you like that, Our Lady Peace and Breaking Benjamin are very similar. The Smashing Pumpkins are likely the most influential Alternative band of the past 20 years, but their style is very Eclectic and varies wildly from Album to Album.
  24. Conceptually, I love the ideas behind what you're trying to do here. The issue is that the vocals are very dissonant with the Guitars, especially at the start of the song. Harmony has done a great job in the past in mixing vocals with a Remix, as has Pixietricks, you might ask them for some suggestions. I really like this song though, I'd love it if you kept me informed of it's progress.
  25. It's still very close to the original for some stretches, and the judges are quite a bit harder on Zeal and Schala remixes, due to the quanity of them already made. Work a little bit on establishing a differece between your work, and the original.
