  1. Here's the voting stage After the good turnout from the last rounds, around the holidays, we have three songs this time. Thu, Setokaibarocket and Just64helpin entered. I don't see any reason to disqualify MP3 Rips, so the songs are all accepted, no time extension. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. Participants are encouraged to vote, but they can't vote for themself. If they vote, a first place will be added to the score. They only have to fill in the other two entries. The winner of PRC136 (OneUp) has a vote that counts twice. You have until NEXT WEDNESDAY, January 14th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC138! The songs: Just64helpin - Golden Years Thu - From Major League to Minor League Setokaibarocket - Hardstyle Samplature
  2. The People's Remix Competition 137 PRCv6-07 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! First of all, a happy 2009. PRC136 is done, with two sources, a lot of remixers came up with something, six songs and one bonus MIDI rip mix. At the end, OneUp received the most points and he won the round. No double source today, but one source should be enough for a good round. OneUp isn't new to winning PRC's, he did it two times before, one of them was the start of this season (PRC131). Not Darkwing Duck this time, but something different. He picked an overlooked tune from a soccer game for the NES. World Cup (NES) - Golden Goal MIDI MP3 NSF (Track 23) I don't know the Nintendo game, I didn't even know it exists, but it's always interesting to get into these games by the music. With the start of 2009, a lot of things can happen. Let's get to work. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by MONDAY January 12th at 04:00 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left.. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can't take part (however, he's free to submit a Bonus Mix) but their vote will be doubled. You have one day extra because I don't have time at saturay/sunday. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  3. It's results time. This round did better than last round. The number of normal entries and voters is the same, but the bonus mix is extra. With 6 songs again, the situation could end the same. Blackstar submitted a bonus mix, he didn't receive any points of course. Total number of mixes - 6 Total number of votes - 7 Highest possible score - 21 Chickenwarlord comes back in PRC, but he didn't receive any points. He gets one point bonus to end above the Bonus Mix. It's a last place wooden spoon. Bundeslang didn't get any points as well, but he voted himself up to the fifth place with 3 points. Just64helpin gets 9 points, enough to take fourth place. Txai created the longest song and it's appreciated by various users. He received 13 points, worth a third place. Setokaibarocket was close winning PRC again, but his 15 points aren't enough to win, it's a second place And the winner of PRC136 is OneUp with 17 points! Again, four songs took the most of the points, myself and Chickenwarlord couldn't stop them. One winner, so not two sources again. OneUp, you have won and you may select the first source tune (for PRC137) for 2009. Send it to me by PM before next Friday, 2 January at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. I hope to see you all back next year.
  4. Nice album again. I hope to see V3 coming next year.
  5. Here's the voting stage Seven songs appeared before the deadline. A very nice number again. One of the songs is a MIDI-Rip, which means it can't be voted on. It's Blackstar's Happy Race. This round turned out even better than last round. Participants can vote and they receive a bonus first place (they can't vote for themself). The vote of last round winners Just64helpin and Setokaibarocket doesn't count twice, but it can break up a tie. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT WEDNESDAY, December 31st at 2:59 am ThaSauce time, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. Remember to not vote on Blackstar's song. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC137! The songs: Eligibles Bundeslang - Grit's House of Darkness Setokaibarocket - Santa Claus is Gunning You Down Just64helpin - Bear and Grit It OneUp - Bring the Whine For Xmas Chickenwarlord - Grit's Village Txai - Wild West Winter Ineligible Blackstar - Happy Race
  6. You are right. I can classify it as a Bonus Entry, but it's not a legible entry. Still I appreciate your interest, so I hope you'll be able to change it in time. Otherwise it's gonna be a bonus song which can't be voted on. And, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
  7. I started something myself, I'm gonna participate for sure. I started with Setokaibarocket's source. I don't know I'm gonna remix both songs in one or just remix only Grit's Theme, it depends on how things are going this week.
  8. Nice album, good to have it released. Most songs don't sound like they are done in only one week.
  9. With having a bLiNd album and see him marry, the Pixietricks Holiday album and this thread is a logical following combination. Congratulations.
  10. The People's Remix Competition 136 PRCv6-06 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC135 was a good round, six entries appeared, four of them ended only with two points difference. At the end, two remixers received 12 points, and won the round. Setokaibarocket and Just64helpin both had to submit a source tune. They did, so we can start with a new round. Just64helpin decided to submit a source which is from this time. He PM'ed me a wintery, non-denominational video game tune (like he described it). It's a Nintendo 64 game which you know well, I think. Setokaibarocket submitted something different. Not a christmas game, but a well known Game Boy Advance source. He thinks the source is catchy and usable for different styles. Diddy Kong Racing (N64) - Frosty Village AND Advance Wars (GBA) - Grit's theme MIDI Diddy Kong Racing MP3 Diddy Kong Racing MIDI Advance Wars I know both games, they are both interesting and I'm sure that at least one of the two source tunes should be remixable for each remixer. With two sources and Christmas days coming, a lot of interesting things can happen. I hope to welcome a lot of remixers and voters to this contest. The rules will be a little difference this time, bacause the two sources. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions You don't have to remix both songs, you may pick one of them and remix only that, however, you are encouraged to remix both songs in one. Winners from the last round (Just64helpin and Setokaibarocket) may participate this round as well, but they should remix the source from the other winner only. If you happen to be mixing this (or these) songs already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY December 28th at 05:00 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left.. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can take part as well. His vote won't be doubled, because that wouldn't be fair for the others. In a case of a tie, his vote will make the difference. In a case of a tie with the remixers himself, the other remixer will win. If Just64helpin and Setokaibarocket tie again, I don't know what I'll will do (I think about it during the Christmas Days). Depending on the vote, I might let you both select again, I just don't hope this will happen. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  11. It's results time. This round is the best round from this year till now. Entries started coming in early and even at the last minute, a new entry arrived. Finally, six remixers entered the contest. Total number of mixes - 6 Total number of votes - 7 Highest possible score - 21 Torzelan starts his first PRC with a last place wooden spoon. He received two points, and with his vote it makes a total of 5 points. Txai received one first place vote and some other points. At the end, his 7 points are enough to take the fifth place. Binweasel did well, his fourth place is worth 10 points. OneUp did a very intersting song, he received points from various users. It's a third place with 11 points. And PRC135's winners are Just64helpin and Setokaibarocket with 12 points! It's a close one. Four songs differ only two points, and two remixers ended first. This means I don't want one, but two source tunes. Just64helpin and Setokaibarocket, send both your sources to me by PM before next Friday, 19 December at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. We're gonna have an interesting PRC around the Christmas Days.
  12. Here's the voting stage I was already creating this, when a last minute entry arrived. Txai was one minute too late in PRC132, but he corrected his watch and now he's just on time. Six entries. The best round of this PRC Year so far. Five PRC-Regulars (Binweasel, Just64helpin, OneUp, Setokaibarocket and at the last moment Txai) entered the round and we have a new remixer, Torzelan. With six entrants, I hope we can get a good number of votes as well. For remixers it's important to vote because they receive a bonus. The winner of PRC134 (Analoq) has a vote that counts twice. You have until NEXT WEDNESDAY, December 17th at 2:59 am ThaSauce time, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC136! The songs: Binweasel - Starless, and Just64helpin - Two Minutes Alone OneUp - The Silent Child Setokaibarocket - The Right Hand of God Torzelan - Otäck Bok Txai - Praying for Pleasure
  13. Welcome. It doesn't have much source, but enough to classify as acceptable entry. Entries are due in 2 hours and 20 minutes. I don't think I need to give it an extension.
  14. Nice. Keep them coming guys, I hope you can make it difficult to me to do the voting stats.
  15. BUMP. Before everyone forgets about this project. It could be a nice Christmas present.
  16. There was (at least) one. JD Harding had his song accepted (it was called Sparkman JD, later renamed to Electric), but that song is removed by request. There's an error on line 16 (When I play click on the Play button), but downloading works fine. I like this, the intro is interesting. This song has a lot of good things. I hope you'll be able to finish this song and submit it to OCR with succes.
  17. The People's Remix Competition 135 PRCv6-05 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC134 is over, two entries appeared before the deadline, Analoq and Tdburley posted their songs on time. I received four votes which counts, including one double vote from Txai. Analoq wins and he brings the new interesting source. Four years ago, when Analoq won the PRC for the first time, a Hentai source was send as source. Four year later, it's Hentai again. Analoq didn't play the game, but the Anime was good enough to make it the next source. It's a Windows Game (according to Wikipedia). Bible Black (SNES) - Main Theme MIDI Again, a game which I didn't play. But Analoq didn't play it as well so this means the source should be really good (otherwhise Analoq's choice was different). In PRC34, the PRC from Analoq's first choice, received 7 entries, I hope this round can get a nice number as well. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY December 14th at 05:00 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left.. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can't take part but their vote will be doubled. 18. It was a nice source, maybe next round again. It's results time. Two entries appeared. The entrants didn't have to vote, but they where allowed since it doesn't change anything, Analoq did vote. I decided to give each entry two points for that one. Txai's vote counts double, it turned out that broke the tie. Total number of mixes - 2 Total number of votes - 4 Highest possible score - 10 + 2 = 12 Tdburley starts nice with his first PRC entry (as far as I know he's not someone who entered before), he got two first place votes, but it wasn't enough to win the contest. He gets the last and second place wooden spoon, with 9 points. The winner of this round is Analoq with 10 points! Congratulations Analoq, the song length almost let you lose the round, but it was long enough to win. Now it's up to you to submit the new source for PRC135. Remember to not submit a song that has been covered on OCR before. You can take a popular game (Like Mega Man 1 Wily Stage 1) or a less popular game (like Godzilla for the NES). Songs from site Projects can be used as well. I'm waiting for the source tune which should be submitted in two days (before December 5th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time). You should send your source submission to me by PM. Don't forget it. You should add a link to your source as well (like a MID, NSF, MP3 etc.) so I can't pick the wrong song. See you next Friday.
  19. I liked the tracks which came up for the album from last year, I also remember Sephfire's remix called Purity, which I only listen to when Christmas is coming (nice work). But, maybe it's better to join the Anime Christmas Competition, I remembered what happened last year and it's hard to get albums released on the correct date.
  20. Two entries. I can't give every round an extension, so here we go: Here's the voting stage Two entries. The first one is from a (I think according to the user name) new remixer. The other one is a song from Analoq, who was here direct from the begin. The mixing stage is over, to vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to second. - State a reasoning for it. Participants don't have to vote, because they can't for themself and voting means both songs receive a first place. The winner of PRC133 (Txai) has a vote that counts twice. You have until NEXT WEDNESDAY, December 3th at 9:59 am ThaSauce time, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC135! The songs: Tdburley - Dreams of the Universe Analoq - Harmonic Treatment
  21. It happends again. I'm wondering when I'm NOT gonna make this mistake. For the birthday, that won't happen again. I thought I removed that line. Thanks for pointing it out. Nice signature, I've added it to mine.
  22. The People's Remix Competition 134 PRCv6-04 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC133 is done, Txai wins after the second place in PRC132. He beated DZComposer with only one (double) vote difference. It was a round which didn't get much interest, but I'm happy it didn't end with a default winner. Txai was quick with sending the source so we can start with a promising next round. Txai decided to go for a game he liked much. He loved the bizarre enemies from it and since the game didn't have much remixes here, it can be used. The game was hard to play, I hope the source isn't hard to remix. The game was released on the SNES. Pocky & Rocky (SNES) - The Enchanted Forest MIDI MP3 SPC I have never played the game, but it looks like a nice game and it's fun to hear new songs. The source sounds very nice to me and hopefully I can find some time this week to work on something as well. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed.
