  1. Okay cool, it's posted on OCR. And they got it down to 8mb from what... 20+? Nice. Also the video has 52k views. Damn.
  2. Just enough salt in the wound for that little kick, you know?
  3. Pixel art is very time consuming. Hopefully they will finish in time *_*. When it comes to art w/ as much detail as that, yeah haha, I would have definitely started looking a teensy bit sooner.
  4. Exploration C - Weren't you wondering what kind of Exploration? *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
  5. Yeah! I want me me me i want screeeeeeaaaaaaaam!!!! Demands!!!!!!!!!
  6. lol obvious troll is obvious edit:
  7. Yeah... Long in the past, and let's let the past stay in the past etc. etc. Anyway video is on its way to 30k views in a day! Rad.
  8. Hmmm, he does get credit at the IGN website plug of the video itself, but I guess they didn't give proper credit on Youtube. Edit: With permission I will edit the first post for the link to the MP3. Another Edit: Hip Takana tweeted about it. Sweet!
  9. Hey everyone, in wake of the Metroid 25th Anniversary, Sam and his friend Gabe made a tribute song for IGN. Sam literally mixed and recorded this baby in two days at IGN's request. It's a whopping ten minutes + long, with songs from 4 of the games. I can stop listening to it. :J Here's the link to the article at IGN: In Honor of Metroid's 25th Anniversary And here's a link to the Youtube Video itself. Okay cool, it's posted on OCR. Here's the original render. Also if you haven't seen it, Sam got a feature about a week ago on IGN for his which is also badass.Check these out, get some likes and OCR support in there and hopefully there are more features to come! And as he's already posted, his new album is coming out, so yeah a lot of activity in Shnabubula land! Congrats for the feature Sam and hopefully there will be more to come! Another Edit: Oh awesome! Hip Tanaka tweeted about it *_*
  10. Even with the price cut, still not worth it to me. I'm gonna wait a bit longer.
  11. Lufia II. Summer *_*. I always kind of chuckled at this track.
  12. Recently got into this... Holy shit. I have to stop because I have other things I need to be doing!
  13. Give it another shot metaphist. Just send me a WIP when you have the chance. Also got an unexpected claim with a WIP from Fratto for "Thou Art Dead" of all tracks. It's rather good. So putting him down for that.
  14. If you'd be interested down the line, I'm looking for help with artwork for the Dragon Warrior Project. Mostly for clean up and line work which I suck at, and possible coloring/shading. This is down the line though, but if you're interested in helping with that (and possibly other stuff too depending) in terms of artwork for that project, I'm all eyes.
  15. Haha, that IS weird. Considering how low in popularity this game is. If someone else posts one I'm... not going to sleep tonight :U. So anyway, intro starts. You have a synth that has a slow attack, after a while it gets kind of annoying. Maybe you could cover the swell up with some other kind of layering, so it's not quite as striking for the entire intro. Maybe don't have that slow of an attack with every note. Song picks up, but it's another kind of fake intro... I kinda feel like when the beat starts coming in, you could have just had about 2 measures of this progression instead for your intro, and then bring those drums in. When the beat comes in, it's neat. The lead is nice too. When you drop off and come back, you have that euro, chorusey synth. It's a bit too distorted maybe? It sits too far back in the mix, and that's probably the nature of the synth, but I think it would have better effect if it was up closer, or if you layered another synth (give it some headroom) and make that close. ORRRRRRRR... As you get into the song (by around 2:30)... Why not have a secondary lead, a synth soloing, complimenting over your progression? It gets a little bit monotonous honestly. Next dropoff at around 3:10 is pretty cool, but again, the lead after a while doesn't keep me interested. My advice? Before 4:05, use something else. Take that synth out before, so you can bring it back here for the climax. Cute chippy break at 4:50. But the delay on the drums (or the lead itself) is a bit too much. In fact I think you could do with a tiny bit less delay/reverb throughout the song. And you bring back the same lead at 5:00, the euro chorus'd synth... Just yeah, it's just too repetitive. In fact, I think you could completely cut out 5:00 to 6:00 and continue onto that more creative part.... No problems with anything until 6:40. You bring in the same part again. I think it's not even needed. Take that part out, and then just use the part when the piano comes in, and layer that piano part with something more exciting. The end fades out around the same way the song started, but it sounded a bit anti-climatic. Anyway, other than maybe too much delay/reverb, the mixing itself was good, though I'm using headphones so I can't say too much for the bass. Drum writing was pretty par for the course on the style. And about my criticisms, I do understand that this is a certain genre so maybe I am too picky about that part coming back in, but can never hurt to mix it up a little more. Good luck and hope this helps!
  16. Can't wait for this to be released (haha oh man I am so bad)
  17. Oh wow, that's what I get for not listening to the bonus. ANYWAY GREAT ALBUM!
  18. This song represents all the turmoil and strife of this thread in the past, so listen and think upon these important things. . .The end. edit: 1 is a cover, please it is not mine
  19. This sounds like it could be a newer Final Fantasy menu screen song. Not in a bad way. I think the strength of the song is that it flows very well, and has good dynamics. Also glad they fixed the attributed source tune lol. That could have wonky lol. Good job neblix.
  20. Besides, it seems like it's kind of an impossibility of it being an OCR Official Project just because of all the other projects waiting in line, and this one is supposed to be released in August 7. So isn't the point kind of moot anyway? He means utilizing OCR, which is a vast source for projects such as this, including a fan-base and artists, etc...
