I never bothered watching 2 and 3...and yes, the first one is still amazing.
EDIT: for ridiculous misquote
Watch part 2 but not 3. 2 Advances the plot and it's has awesome fighting in it. Just think up your own conclusion after part 2.

I can honestly say that this has never happened to me. If the original is good I'll keep liking it regardless. I mean, I still like Chrono Trigger.
Running away...
Well, ok. To be perfectly honest I've never had it happen to me either.
My point is that if a sequel sucks it can damage the the original experience. One example that comes to mind is the last installment of 'The Matrix'. Yeah, the first matrix was still a great move but the story as a whole was devastated by Revolutions. I frowned upon the entire plot because of that last movie.

Sonic & Knuckles Lover Reef by pixietricks, zircon, Geoffrey Taucer, D-Lux, and Shonensamurai (one of my all time favorites)
Megaman 2 Chillout by SEDUCTiON
Earthbound Home Again by Dale North (Is pretty awesome)
Starfox Godspeed by The Wingless (not that lyrical but the intro is soo bad ass)
For vocal remixes those are really great. There are more vocal mixes than this of course but remixes with vocals aren't very prominent on OCR.
Now, if you're looking for good guitar arrangements things get a bit wider:
Final Fantasy 7 Lunatic Moon by Sixto Sounds and zircon
Final Fantasy Finally Home by Darangen (someone should so put some lyrics to this one)
F-Zero Blue Vacation by LousySpy
Kirby's Adventure The Ballad of Sir Kibbles by Suzumbachi (absolutely top notch)
Lifeforce Tactile Freefall by Midee and prozax
Mega Man X Brainsick Metal by Protricity (obviously)
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney This Feeling by OA (The guitar solo is epic and the fidelity is incredible)
Earthworm Jim Acrophobia by about:blank (unorthodox, but perhaps the best guitar arrangement OCR has ever produced)
Seiken Densetsu 3 Electrion by FIDGAF and TO
Seiken Densetsu 3 Obsession Nocturnal by Sixto Sounds (if you're looking for something rugged)
Sonic 3 Eastern Ice Field by Big Giant Circles (not super guitary but it has the resemblance and it's a breathtaking remix I almost feel obligated to suggest it)
Street Fighter 2 Vegas Ballad by McVaffe
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Flying Heaven by zircon
Wild Arms Not Alone in the World by Dale North and Jaxx
Enjoy.

Again, missing the point. You can beat the guy, but then you can also beat a puppy with a newspaper. How is that fun?
Also Global, that's totally fine if the person is dumb enough not to learn to guard for that move, but think how stupid it would be if you did the same move over and over and he still wails on you. You feel dumb and he probably feels an empty win.
Not at all. zircon is 100% right. In fact, I'll go a step further and say cheap wins are the funnest ones. They're the ones that make you laugh your ass off even if it is against a noob.

I've been thinking about this recently, and I came to the conclusion in that yeah, a sequel CAN be bad, but does it necessarily ruin the original? I mean, I loved the hell out of the original Star Wars Trilogy, wasn't a fan of the latest, and I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy IV and VII, but I don't think the sequels should prevent you from going back, watching the originals and enjoying them.
Let them create their sequel. If it's good, hurray. If it sucks, well hopefully they won't make another but that doesn't change the fact that the first ones were good.
You're accounting too much to game play. "Hey, why not make another game!"
Look at it like a novel that you thoroughly enjoyed that had a great ending. Just an epic story. If the author comes in and makes a sequel that ruins the original experience you're going to want to kick him in the ass.

Akuma is a beast, especially if you're new to the game.
Jump in and nick him and get out. His fireballs aren't as terrifying as they seem but if your jumping at random they're gonna' fuck you up. Make sure when you fight him there is sure reasoning in your jumping and he'll become much easier to deal with.

Shame by Monrose. If you haven't heard of these girls you should definitely look into them. They. Are. Awesome.
-
Writing sequels to FF games is risky business. There is so much that can go wrong in the eyes of the fans. True, that can be said about writing/making any game but Final Fantasy has such a cult following that I can see why they rarely do it.

I dunno about you guys but I avoid FPSes and RPGes and MMORPGs and Rhythm and RTSes and Action and Adventure and Puzzle games like the plague
(did I miss anything)
Tactical. Espionage. Action.

What Gollgagh said.

Kim Leoni - Medicine. Nice dance song.
-
The story was nice, but I seriously can't get over how they made Zach so dumb.
What the fuck is wrong with you guy?
Someone kick this to PPR so we can make all kinds of desultory insults without getting warned or having the thread locked.

DJPretzel like a Jack Daniels and doesn't afraid of anything.

I used to like that song, both of them. Until I finally snapped from hearing them the billionth time on the radio...
That's exactly why I won't listen to local radio stations. Nothing against the stations personally, but it just gets grating hearing the same 10 songs in as little as 2 days time.
Sorry, does that sound picky?
Yeesh...
Not at all and I'm exactly the same way. The radio just ruins songs via repetition.
-
I remember that song...
It's not that great.
It's cool the first two or three times you hear it. After that it's just that one song about getting sloshed.
-
I really need to re-rip that
I deleted the mp3's a while ago so I haven't listened to it in as long.
Why on earth would you delete them?
-
Gwen Stefani - 4 In The Morning. I quite like it.
-
You didn't remember the lyrics correctly or I'd have known in a heart beat.
It goes:
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Edit:
Chumbawamba - Tub Thumping
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him of the better times:
"Oh Danny Boy, Danny boy..."
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him of the better times:
"Don't cry for me next door neighbor..."
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're nevre going to keep me down
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

Tales of Vesperia isn't bad. The battle system is fun enough and the main character is well done. I haven't won it yet but I intend to go back to it eventually. Right now 'Mass Effect' is my rpg of choice.
-
'Studies in Ether' from zircons Impulse Prime album. Gotta say -- It too is fucking awesome. It and Endorphin are my two favorite tracks but the whole album is just epic.
Impulse Prime = Highly Recommended.
-
Endorphin from zircon's Impulse Prime album and I gotta say it's fucking awesome.
-
That's one of the reasons the ending was so powerful. Everyone so wanted to see the romance between Zack and Aerith take place. Why can't Square/Eunuchs make more main characters like Zack?
-
I'm quite liking this one. Kudos on having virtually no repetition. Plenty of ear catching jingles and tingles and I loved the avenue it took around 1:35 and by 1:45 I was totally feeling the melody.
Chalk another one up to BGC for a job very well done.

My brother won her using a game saver. I'm quite certain we never would have won that game if we hadn't cheated with the game saver.
