Overflow brings up some very good points. It felt like something was off when I played the demo, and indeed, the fact that square, triangle, and circle buttons don't correspond to any specific move type is a huge minus. That's a pretty standard premise for ANY fighting game, but not here, so there's a mental disconnect between what you press and how you think it will react. It's basically a halfway point between Smash and other fighting games, but it's not a happy medium.

I'm not sure if I learned anything, but it sure did betray all expectations.

People here need to play truly awful games to get some kind of perspective on things. Wind Waker? Mario Sunshine? Arguably weaker than others in their series but far, FAR from horrible. Should instead be mentioning Wand of Gamelon or Hotel Mario.

I don't know why they do that kind of thing.

It's so bizarre. Lost Planet was definitely more of a western flavor, and this game is unabashedly japanese through and through. I guess after the second game didn't do so well Capcom decided to cater to a more familiar audience.

Animal Crossing is hardcore. Without cheating it could take over a year to do and collect everything.

Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea 1 I put 300 hours into each. And yes, 120 hours or so for DQ7, and 150 hours for Xenoblade. I've also got over 50 hours in Rainbow Moon now (a psn download title. If you like turn-based strategy rpgs, check it out maybe), and 22 hours on Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2. And that doesn't even take into account Last Story, which I've put on hold because my Wii can't read the disc for more than one hour, but I was about 15 hours into that one too. I'm addicted to grinding.

Figures a club full of gamers would have everyone dancing awkwardly by their lonesome.

I think that true when compared to most anything.

Are we still discussing graphics? What is this, 2003? Games these days, for the most part, look great. And more polygons cost more. If gaming stays on the bleeding edge then it becomes ridiculously risky and unaffordable for devs to contribute. What the hell do people even want out of graphics nowadays anyway? To see each blade of grass, pore on skin, and scratch on rock? Christ, it's like the trolls of 4chan got out of their cage. So, yeah. I'm fine with graphics staying in stasis for the next five or even ten years, because the graphics of today are perfectly capable of doing what they're meant to do.

I'm a lefty and had no issue on the ps2. My mom says I'm cool. Anyway, pre-order'd. We'll see if it shows up on release day. I have my doubts since The Source seems to be absolute shit at getting things out on time.

I gotta agree with Derrit on that one. I don't know if it was my remote or what, but drawing a straight line was extremely difficult. I gave up in frustration before I found any other powers... That said, Okamiden had the touch screen and was absolutely perfect. I'd like to see Okami 3 instead of another port.

I've only played Nocturne and Strange Journey, so I wouldn't know.

People may complain about the sameness of all these games but damn if that doesn't look like fun. I should probably go back and fully beat the Wii one. I left a couple of levels unfinished.

I liked the original even if it was formulaic as hell. I know what to expect from Darksiders 2.

I'm gonna get p-100, Rayman, Darksiders 2, and Mario.

Project p-100 is the game you want. Like Pikmin but with superheroes and fighting mutant monstrosities instead of miniscule ones.

I can corroborate what Malaki said about the XL. It's fantastic. I did the system transfer, but kept my original 3DS for street passing purposes. That is, I can get a free character with any shirt colour from any region once per day. Of course, since the old system is blank, that means no new puzzle pieces from it... But oh well!

I laughed way too hard at that.

Will do, though I still haven't beaten the DSiWare sequel (looking for coffee stuff, still).
