Final Fantasy 13 sold over 6 million copies. If they lost money on THAT venture they are doing things very, very wrong.
-
Because then it would need to compete with better rpgs like Cthulhu Saves the World.

Next Super Smash Bros. being co-developed by Namco Bandai

So we're basically admitting, overall, that we want an engine that we can plunk fan-made resources into. -
Virtually every goddamn game I've played in the last ten years has eked some salinity from my ducts. It's not hard, really. I cry at commercials.

Since it's tied to your download account, you should be able to. -
It was just released on Steam today. Who's gotten it? It comes with Cthulu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII as well if you buy it before next week! I played through the first few dungeons, and it's a basic RPG, but a fun one. Great writing, bizarre enemies, and an interesting original character in Moira, Tycho's ex wife and beat detective. My only disappointment is the music -- it lacks the quirky flair of the first two games and is pretty standard chiptune fare. Still, a fun time. I recommend it, especially if you're a fan of the comic.

Sony: We're going to release a fuck-as-all-hell powerful system that will last at least ten years! Microsoft: Well, we released a system just four years after our first one because GRAPHICS ARE GETTING SO AWESOME. Nintendo: We're gonna hold off on this hi-def thing until it becomes financially viable. Instead, we're doing waggle. Sony and Microsoft: LOL NINTENDO U SO KIDDY UR GRAPHICS SUCK WHAT IS THAT WIIMOTE A DILDO OR LOLLIPOP LOL. Nintendo: *makes cash* Sony: Fuck, Nintendo's gotten rich off their dildo. I guess we should do the logical thing and release one of our own. Microsoft: Fuck that, I'm gonna release a thing where you don't need controllers! Sony: And our things will be in glorious hi-def! Which we still haven't learned that everyone who bought the Wii doesn't care about! Nintendo: Don't forget your gaming division operates exclusively in the red, guys. Microsoft: Dude shut uuuuuuup. Nintendo: Well, now that we've made our millions and it's been six years, we're releasing a hi-def system. With a huge controller that also has a screen. Sony: A-HA! So you admit we were right all along! Microsoft: Silly Nintendo, you can't do any of this big gaming business stuff right!

Next Super Smash Bros. being co-developed by Namco Bandai

I dunno. I'd like to see even more customization options, including affecting things like gravity, force behind attacks, turning stage gimmicks on or off, etc. It lets the players decide what they like while making all the play options available to everyone, while undercutting the apparent "need" for modding. Forcing items would break the fanbase worse than tripping and Meta-Knight did. -

KOS-MOS. Make it happen. -
I had errors, but they occurred exclusively in Makna Forest (leading me to believe Makna is on the game's second layer). So, my Wii is just dirty, but finding the cleaning disc is nigh impossible without ordering it online. So I made do and saved frequently to avoid disaster.

That's cool, but I'd really like it if they re-released the rooster hat. I missed out the first time around.
-
They need to shorten the name.

Juliet is sort of a parody of the objectified woman. Of course, since the industry as a whole hasn't come close to being tired of playing it straight, the whole parody aspect falls a little flat for some. Personally, I have yet to play the game, and probably won't. The concept never really drew me in.

Nintendo must pay for daring to appeal to anyone other than myself or my demographic, because in doing so they ruined gaming and have shown how much they don't care about me.

But I own all those already....

In X-2 a kid named Shinra has an optional scene where he discusses harnessing the power of the Farplane for energy. It implies a connection between VII and X-2 to some degree. Of course most people ignore it because it's irrelevant and silly.

Platinum Games's WiiU offering gets ignored. So sad... http://www.gamrreview.com/preview/89060/project-p-100-is-the-superhero-pikmin-game-we-deserve/ Looks like a lot of fun.

Does the Zebra finally say the N word in the third movie?
-
I bought it, and played (and beat) it in 145 hours. I didn't fight every single optional boss but got pretty close. The only downside is, at level 97 the final boss was a cakewalk. I defeated him in all of one minute, minus cutscenes. Story was grand, with legitimate twists, and I loved the cast. It's worth buying, even if you played it via emulation.

I don't think I've ever seen a game title that alludes so strongly to erections.

3DS: Friend Codes on First Page, OMG THE THIRD DIMENSION
Thalzon replied to The Damned's topic in General Discussion
It was pretty easy even then. I mean it's not like it took more than 3 or 4 tries to get through any particular level... ... Well, mostly. I did die a lot of some levels. But it never felt hard, it just felt like I did something stupid. Which is more of a testament to the game's design than anything, I think. -

There's a mast? I'm on the one where you dive to chase it and go through a dark area filled with spikes and requiring perfect, constant swimming. It's the 9th ruby tooth I need to collect. ... You know, this game plays a lot like Sonic in a way. The emphasis on speed and precision, I mean. -

Once I realized the game was more about just doing things as quickly as possible the game became much more fun. The jumping feels weird because it's meant to keep you from standing around in one spot too long -- it wants you to keep doing. The control perfectly facilitate time trials and the like. I played it on Wii and, once I got used to it, had no trouble... ... Eeeexcept for an overly-long treasure chest level in water land. It broke me, man. Made me weep with rage. But I did beat the game. Loved it.
