  1. I personally liked the blue a lot better than the green, although both were really nice. Also, eon, yours was simply amazing. Totally loved it.
  2. Yeah, I've burnt a few CDs with all the songs you have up on your webspace, and I've been showing it to my friends. So far everyone really likes it a lot. Even some people who've never played the game
  3. Wow, both of these are beautiful. I like them a lot. As far as cover art goes, I personally think the second one is best. I could picture the first one on the back with the track listing printed off to the side, seeing how it's goot all that open space. I dunno. Just an idea. Nice work.
  4. There's a text document inthat folder, for those who missed it. "having trouble accessing the files? contact granddream98 via aim or email unlimited_mp3_hosting@herograw.com" That's what I did. We'll see what happens from there, I guess.
  5. Bump. (so it doesn't end up on page 2) I've been following this thread since the first post, and I can honestly say that I extremely excited about what you're doing here. Even some of the WIPs are on my mix CDs now. Can't wait til this is done. It's gunna blow all the previous remix projects outta the water (and that's saying a lot) Good luck.
  6. Actually, I think I'm liking this one better than the original. First of all, I have know idea what Wicked was talking about when he said the original was relaxed and the tempo felt rushed. I think you nailed the feel of the original, while upping the quality quite a bit. Intro rocked. I loved it, sounded 100% better from the original. I love your voice, but I gotta agree with Wicked about the effects; I like it better when it was raw and dirty and not effects laiden. Same for the accoustic guitar at the end. But the whole effects thing is really a minor complaint. Your (sorta clean) rhythm guitar that you're strumming on the off beats needs to be turned way down on the verses. Also, the acoustic guitar seems to just completely drop out at the end of the song. Leaves you hanging, in a bad way. Needs an ending, even if it's just a singe diamonded tonic chord. That annoying miditechnocrap thing that comes in at the climax (2:50-3:02) needs to die. This is my only major complaint. I'd rather chew and swallow a sardine flavored glass grenade than listen to that again. This is the kind of thing you use to interrogate prisoners. Delete it completely. The ending has enough energy on its own to sustain itself. Sometimes less is more. Honestly, this has always been one of my favorite songs. I always hoped you go back and re-record it, and it seems today is my lucky day. It probably seems like I'm railing on this song a lot, but that's only because it's almost perfect. Good job.
  7. Only on OCR can you have a pure screaming death metal piece followed by a beautiful piano-driven orchestral piece. That's what I love about this site. This is likely to be one of my new favorites. 9.7/10ish.
  8. Yes! Something new and different for OC Remix! I've been waiting for a long time for some metal screaming on this site. This is exactly what I was hoping for and more. I've got a few mix ideas in my head, but nothing to make it with. Oh well, maybe someday...
  9. Yeah, you can screw around with my name if you need to. "Trogdor the Burninator" works just fine, or you could just make something up...heh. And Captain Grunty is right, but since that idea has already been thrown out there, let's not do that one, k?
  10. Ok, finally posting in here, but now I'm too lazy to come up with any ideas. How bout this: Make me the most random/nonsensical/hilarious that you can/are willing to pull out of your brain/toybox/neighbor's trashcan. Just make sure that it's not terribly offensive or related to anything that would be offensive to some people. If that's not enough info, then just respond or PM me and I'll see if I can come up with some ideas.
  11. First of all, I'm gunna say again that this mix freaking rocks. And I can't wait to hear more from MCMtM. Again, usually hate rap, and don't listen to electronica, but they both work extremely well here. And now some other comments. Halo 2 mix with rapping? That's exactly what I was thinking through the whole game, 'cept I can't rap. And Sefy, you triple posted and spammed at the same time. That's gotta be some kind of non-unmod record. Really, this whole post was just to get your comment off of the "Recent Comments" on the remix's page. That's just not cool, man.
  12. Not to flame, but I remember that being one of the easier bosses for me. How about that big rockmonstertypething and the Omega Pirate from Metroid Prime? (Haven't played MP2 yet)I'm not gunna go through 119 pages of this to see if it's already been suggested, but why don't we nominate two bosses, and argue about which one is better? Minus the flames, of course.
  13. Ya know, I don't listen to much techno or rap, but I always figured they'd work well together. Guess I was right. Not much more to say. A little off topic, I noticed that MC Mouse the Mighty isn't listed as a Remixer on the information page for this song. Was that accidental, or is there some obscure submission rule that I missed?
  14. I thought the same thing . I downloaded this back in October on vgmix, and I still can't stop listening to it. Everytime I hear it, I have to play it at least twice. I've already reccommended it to a lot of my friends, which is something that I rarely do with any kind of music. This really is the mix that all orchestral arrangements should stive to be like. Simply beautiful. I give it a 10 out of 10ish.
  15. I, for one, really like the way it sounds fake. It's not quite in the same vein as electronica... I'd say prot was going for that synth-trying-to-sound-real feeling, which is very reminicent of SNES games. Honestly, listening to this, I felt like I was listening to something straight from a game, rather than a mix (not to say that I didn't thoroughly enjoy it). Can't really compare it to the original, because I never really played it much, but I have to say that this one was definately worth my 6 minutes and 2 seconds. I give it 7 out of 10ish.
  16. hmmm... interesting. You know you've got a good mix, when you can hit the play button and forget you're listening to it. It just becomes background music; more mood than sound. Maybe it's because I've never heard the original melody, but this song is a very good example of that kind of background music, in my opinion. Funny thing is, I usually hate pure electronica songs like this one. It's certainly nothing spectacular; it would be easily overlooked. Yet for some reason, I can't stop listening to it. Again, it's not amazing, but it will more than likely get burned onto a CD of songs to help me sleep at night. I'll give it a 7 out of 10ish.
