  1. Team Ninja just isn't the same without Tadanobu Itagaki =(
  2. Except I wasn't talking about the target video... I was talking about the actual tech demonstrations. Milo is a nice concept and the target video shows what might be possible, but don't patronize me. I know it's not real.. God. I was talking more about the actual demonstration they did with the simple games they showed off. It simply looked a lot more responsive than any motion control and the body control recognition honestly looked downright next generation compared to what we've seen in the past. Then again, the company developing the technology was aiming for that to begin with. As for the space, it looks like it's made for living rooms or maybe even a small part of a room with at least some open space. They could probably do something with a smaller space. Hopefully. And hopefully not a stupid waggle again. Anyway, I'll probably let the idea on the shelf until someone actually does something amazing with it. The technology, again, looks really good. As for the whole gaming moving away from controllers, I do think we won't lose controllers, ever, but it looks like motion controls of some sort will be integrated anyway.
  3. The more I watch the Natal demonstrations, the more impressive it seems. The Milo thing is a bit of a fantasy at the moment because the AI needs to be VERY good or it won't work the way it's shown. But the body movement recognition is honestly the best I've seen even compared to the Wiimote or the EyeToy. Right now, I'm only worried about the price. It'd be worth the investment if it's $100 IMO.
  4. I did say I was worried about the continuity because it might expand into the future and that still hasn't changed. I wouldn't be so hung up on the Snake part. I never intended to even make it sound like I was. Either way, I honestly don't see the point about nitpicking continuity in this series anyway. I still wish they would reboot it all someday.
  5. Wow. So who was on this place, doing ALL CAPS AND HEUG LETTERS, saying this can't be a new Raiden game? Eat Crow up the ass. lol
  6. It's like a perfected EyeToy to me. I think the followup efforts have to prove its usefulness. Can't really judge these things right out of the bat yet. And I find it funny that some Wii players are calling it 'gimmicky' when most control schemes using Wii board and Wiimotes are just that. Only Nintendo and a few other companies ever moved beyond it being gimmicky into something that actually made sense. Ironic.
  7. Not exactly. It was following orders, but it was fighting the overrides. THAT was the Dick Cheney of robots right there.
  8. I can't tell because it's in a huge stack now. Can't bother to call it a true collection. Just a wall of games or something. Now I wish all games in the next generation are all digital or something.
  9. I thought it was depressing ; But the rest of the movie made it less so, I guess. As for Wall-E, watching it again in TV movie channels and watching Kung Fu Panda.... I'm actually thinking Kung Fu Panda really deserved the animation award it got over Wall-E that year. Wall-E was great, but its plot made NO SENSE. Way too convenient plot devices and robots being evil for no reason?... okay.
  10. Calm down, drama-cat. It's called speculation. Either way, I'm sick of Kojima's wink-wink-wink-wink-wink-wink antics. A thousand winks is enough, Kojima.
  11. I just wish they do a Star Trek Reboot on the series and start with a whole new cast. The plot in MGS is ruined, just like in all the comic books that got too confusing and convoluted for their own good. Is Raiden going to fight in the far future now?..
  12. Well, they DID have to wait for the novel to continue, so I don't think they exactly worked on it straight. Also they were pretty busy with Clannad, K-ON and other shows before it. They are not exactly a heavy duty animation studio. They usually only do about 2 shows simultaneously, max.
  13. They might have rushed the release just to shock everyone. Most anime that doesn't come with an opening song tends to add them on later on.
  14. ^ I think Captain Pike's influence as a high ranking official + his admiration for James' father did it. Hopefully next time around, we'll see the brainier version that is a Star Trek staple. I think the point of this movie was to quickly move it forward so that they establish a new continuity. They could have added some more stuff (especially Nero's past and the exact happenings of the original-universe, the red liquid, old-spock), but I can imagine that kind of movie could run for 3 hours plus..
  15. There was the name there, but I never realized how good it turned out. I can't wait for the bigger battles in the show again, just to hear the epic pieces he has made.
  16. Wow, this is ironic. After everybody thinking the Haruhi season 2 project was in jeopardy, they just released a first episode of the season 2... Pretty decent episode and maybe a bit too Haruhi-esque. It didn't come with an opening animation/song.
  17. I guess my fandom of the entire soundtrack can't really be shown in only the opening intro I guess. I mean, some of the tracks just sound outright haunting. Definitely not the Uematsu I was used to. And yeah, it does sound a bit like Jeremy Soule. I think that's sort of the point since Guin Saga is a dour fantasy.
  18. For such an amazing opening song, I'm surprised nobody put up a high quality one. And the soundtrack is one of my most anticipated in maybe years. A way better and EPIC version:
  19. I think it was obvious that Spock had actual anger issues and not just simply acting out. Also, the movie broke its budget. Now all it'll make are profits when it comes out overseas + DVD/Bluray sales. I guess a sequel is basically guaranteed, even if they said pre-production already began before the movie's release.
  20. And no, it's not a videogame, but possibly an anime: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDAl6Igc-MI The anime is based on a fantasy classic that predates Berserk and actually influenced the creation of Berserk (which says a lot by itself). I still love FF6, FF7 and even Lost Odyssey's OSTs by Uematsu, but each and every track in the anime gives me the chills. I thought people said he was over the hill? LULZ
  21. ^ Wow. Never realized 2007 was so long ago. Pretty good parody though.
  22. Why the hell would I care when the Wii barely has any reasons for me to get an arcade stick for? And I'm getting the feeling it's not going to have the online play that's basically becoming essential for fighting games nowadays.
  23. This one is a genuine meme. Funny, because I thought Rickroll was the forced one. This one is just funny. Reminds me of a lot of comedies in the past with musical cues. No wonder this one is getting around. NM. Entensity steals off everyone anyway ;
  24. What's so dumb about the most heroic act in the entire movie?
  25. I see, it all makes sense now. I think the movie would've been much more complete if they showed some aspects of that, but I guess it would all fly over Star Trek virgins' heads. It'd be nice if the Bluray/DVD has that story inclusion in it too.
