  1. Except Blanka eats him for breakfast. It's like the vast majority of matches are favorable in Blanka's favor. I love how the Blanka cannonball goes right through projectiles. It literally makes enemies stutter in fear. You can see the panic in the shuffles. lol
  2. Some Ultras you can do it without much fear of reprisal. Blanka's is a combo/mixup in itself and if people are jumping in, they're taking full damage 100%. Ryu's and Ken's are worthless when just throwing it out though.
  3. They should rename Gouken as Karin and get it over with. Enough shoto plotlines.
  4. I think they do. But you might have to consult some in-depth anime art books for the information. Definitely most are just vague terms like moé art which is just a generalized term for anime art that has sexual gravitas. Then there's the really messed up Super Flat art which is a postmodern view on anime art: http://www.kaikaikiki.co.jp/
  5. I had to laugh at the projected 7-8 hours of gameplay. Finally a great, mature game and we get something that short? I really am starting to feel sorry for the Wii when its best efforts is a solid 7-8 hours and countless hours on my Boomblox which is basically a puzzle game anyway..
  6. That underage girl grinding a stadium-seat was almost too much. How the hell did they get away with that one? It was a blatant underage sexual act. lol
  7. Enough fighting games for one second. Give me a HD Remix of Megaman Legends for download in a smaller file and with achievements.
  8. Way, way, way, way, way better than the Dark Knight could hope to be. I'm just disappointed that the non-celeb actors acted like they were non-celebs for the most parts. Lots of little rookie-isms as far as the acting itself went. Also might be a bit overlong for many viewers. I don't mind the movie not being a replica of the comic book. It couldn't have been anyway, and it's basically as good as they could possibly hope to make it. There's even a talk of a sequel and I'm intrigued by that, though the geeks will froth at the mouth over that.
  9. No. In HDRemix, it's outright theft of a win. In SF4, when your enemies win, don't press a single button. Just wait like 15 seconds (so that enemies will press button and get the EXP gain and save), and you just quit the game with dashboard button. Instead of stealing EXPs, you get away free without penalty and the enemy gets their EXPs. It's weird, but it's mutually beneficial. lol
  10. There's a very obvious exploit in this game so that you never disconnect on your opponents (they still get points if they beat you) and you never lose points. Dashboard button. lol I did that a few times out of anger at losing to another stupid Ken. But I'm sure you can do that forever until Capcom patches it.
  11. The menu was.... Xbox1 era material. They could have had High Definition menus while they were at it.
  12. The more I play this game, the more creeped out I get. It's pretty apparent that the main character is a hair trigger away from being a mass murderer.
  13. He isn't, but he can get by with his fire shoryuken that does stupid damage. I usually never lose to Kens anymore, but a few whiffs and I'm already in danger of getting killed. I hate that crap. I used to play Zangief when it used to take SKILLS to get up close to enemies, but in this game, he's 100% cheese. I love sniping him with Sakura.
  14. I only play as Fuerte, Abel, Rose, Sakura and Dan just to prove a point against stupid Sagat and Ken players that I can beat them handily while NOT spamming a single f'n move.
  15. Except Birdie is not a joke. He's one of the ORIGINAL Street Fighters. They need to bring him back someday.
  16. I found out a practical way to use the Focus Attack and it's GUARANTEED Ultra time. I love it when it happens when someone thinks I'm dead with an inch of life left, only to deal 60% counter Focus Attack -> Ultra and they're laying dead. In that sense, I really like this game. The comebacks are more ridiculous, dangerous and risky than ever.
  17. It's not. It just feels that way. Shotos are just way too balanced and the crossups are just dangerous. Hate getting cornered by em.
  18. 360 analog > PS3 analog > PS3 D pad > 360 D pad. I love using the analog. It's like a miniature arcade stick for the thumb. I want to get the real stick, but $150 is a bit much right now. And that damn stick is limited edition. F'n Madkatz. Also, I LOVE fighting Kens and Ryus now that I've started mastering Rose. They can't do their cheap jump-in kicks when I'm prowling with Rose's anti-air grab. My mission in life right now is to murder all Ryus and Kens I run across to.
  19. Eh... Same. I know I'm shooting myself in my foot by playing Sakura and Dan almost exclusively with a few Giefs and Blanka if I want to be cheap. I love stuffing Ryu/Kens with a patient Sakura. Doesn't happen too often yet though.
  20. I'd only say the hardcore difficulty of older RPGs is the reason. Otherwise, many modern JRPGs do the traditional play way better and looks easy on the eyes.
  21. Actually, they basically fall into the same cliche I just mentioned. Even if you don't have a childhood friend/acquaintance IN YOUR PARTY, they always turn evil with some sort of a semi-good ulterior motive until you figure out there's a bigger evil later on. Tales games ALWAYS had a mid-"final"-boss. I'm not exactly putting it down for it, because I love the games. But the formula is definitely there. As for Star Ocean, it tends to play out like a Star Trek TV episode. Including the whole going-back-to-ancient-times thing.
  22. Even if SO games don't always have the most solid story or gameplay progression, at least its plots are usually much more interesting than the typical Tales formula of: -Hero sets out with childhood friend -LOTS OF BS POLITICS -Hero's friend becomes evil and turns into the final boss -The final boss was only the mid boss -Exploration, then the true final boss I don't think I played a Tales game that deviated from that formula.
  23. Media Player Classic and CCCP for codecs. Basically an anime-watcher's setup. I must watch at least 10 anime per day. On low-activity nights..
  24. The removed units. The Marauder looks plenty scary in its place though.
  25. I *liked* the twist, but they didn't do anything with it. It's like a player getting a ball and not doing anything with it. The end game's enemies were total pushovers compared to the big alien invaders, and the final boss was just a geeked up supernerd. It would've been way more epic to fight the seemingly unbeatable enemies.
