  1. my page is cool it's like BORDER TEETH also wouldn't it be funny if this were moved to announcements instead
  2. No, I think we broke 1000 by then. I remember seeing that on TV too. I felt proud of myself, even :3 I used to watch that show every day after school, right up until Leo and Pat got that fancy studio and moved out of the basement, then I felt like a lot was missing.
  3. [quote='[\()/];248626']If you ignore all the fatality bullshit this is actually a damn nice card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102005
  4. http://www.myspace.com/dprkhc North Korean speedcore ?????????????????????????????
  5. [quote name=''[\()/];247794']Since you have onboard audio' date=' the interference is coming from the board itself.[/quote'] Happens to me and I have an Audigy 2. It's not apparent when using my speakers or when other stuff is playing though, like when playing a game or listening to music. Though if no audio is being played back, I can hear the electonic signals. It's kind of fun to me though, since I can hear what my computer sounds like when it does specific things, like loading text/windows thumbnails/moving the mouse all sound different. I believe there is no fix to this at all, in fact! It is always there, but quiet enough that it doesn't bother anyone. It's done this on every computer I've used with headphones. The easiest fix is to leave winamp open at all times like I do and listen to music constantly
  6. My Ensoniq ESQ-1 has a mysterious effect on FruityLoops. The patch selector buttons will select different channels in the step sequencer. I honestly have no idea why it does this, or how it was somehow automatically mapped to, but it's going through my MIDI cable so it must be a MIDI thing. It's not a definite switcher though, so the channel selection is usually random. Since you want to trigger different patterns, you might want to switch to Ableton Live, which by reputation so far is excellent for live loops playback. I believe both Niyaz and Xerxes use Live, as well as some other doods.
  7. #208a-208c audio cephlon / callistemon [stream] seems like spring is the time for short releases on kahvi collective, but that doesn't reflect on the quality of the merchandise. after the previous two track from nagz, next up an artist that seemed to vanish into the depths of the australian outback - audio cephlon. back with more of a polished sound, a vibe verging on the acid jazz (callistemon) or more beat driven delos. but for me, the ep is made by avarian dub - its got all the subtle little additions that make a track sparkle. enjoy the cool callistemon. leave feedback download whole ep as ogg (.zip) download album art download whole ep as mp3 (.zip) callistemon [stream] [main download] [mirror] delos [stream] [main download] [mirror] avarian dub [stream] [main download] [mirror]
  8. Hey SID lovers! Recently I had a craving for moar Geir Tjelta, coda told me to get the HVSC pack. The good news is, I now have lots of Geir Tjelta, and 33,000+ other SID files. The bad news is, my winamp playlist is now swamped with .sid files, 41,186 tracks strong, something like 75% of it is now SID. They're mostly good or great songs but I can't find my other good or great songs :3. This pack includes but is not limited to: Geir Tjelta Tim/Geoff Follin DRAX Laxity Rob Hubbard [a fucking living God I tell you] Aleksi Eeben Allister Brimble Mitch Dane Mitch AND Dane Richard Joseph Glenn Rune Gallefoss a shitload of Swedes I think this has been plugged in the thread before, but I wanted to tell you about it anyway.
  9. I hope that's not all OCR has to say (・A・) I guess I'll just get back to work (´∀`)
  10. I never heard about those rich guys donating $2,000 until I just read this. That's pretty... wow. I'm very impressed by the crazy growth and changes of the past year, and even greater changes from my 2001 perspective [seriously, 6 years now? that's nuts]. The community seems smaller than before the vB switch for some reason, but that may be the lack of familiar faces [some good, some bad] as opposed to a big stream of newbies coming in that I'm not noticing. Speaking of a 2001 perspective, I dunno if I pointed this out before but the vB forum software is kind of like the pre-phpBB forum that used to be here... it's been so long though that I forgot what we had, but it had the cool threaded mode that I missed a lot during the phpBB years. gg
  11. Because this way I can see what the hell I'm doing:nicework: also normalizing, post EQ, etc
  12. Zircon's suggestion works fine, but I prefer to do fadeouts during post-production in Cool Edit 2 [i never upgraded! Guess why!], and I recommend everyone else do that too. You should have a good dedicated wave editor\recorder like Audacity [or anything a bit higher-end of your choice] so you can look at your waveform before you distribute it everywhere. All wave editors should have some kind of fadeout function, it's always pretty easy to do.
  13. I'm still on for Akrilic from Plok! I think. But it's been a long time, I feel bad :[!
  14. I just tapped it out, it's 84 BPM, or at least very very close to that.
  15. Oh also can I ask what a SuperDJ® is? Sounds super.
  16. ok also no your computer will not mangle the sound unless your drivers are messed up, and I don't think they are. Computers have been a staple in professional audio recording for longer than P3s have existed, too, so I don't think your PC is too slow to handle a single stereo input
  17. Pretty simple, but you're asking how! Find it in the sample browser, then right click and you should see open in selected/new channel, open in slicer or granulizer, etc, or you could just click and drag onto the step sequencer for it to load straight up. I recommend the slicer if you have vocal clips or drumloops.
  18. Haha you got screwed Actually, if you just want to make music entirely on your keyboard you don't need a MIDI cord AT ALL, but actually a standard everyday cheap audio cable, and you'll probably need an adapter, 'cause the out on your keyboard is probably 1/4". As you've found out the hard way, MIDI cables don't actually carry audio signals. Sorry! Luckily now you can write songs for pretty much nothing since you already have an all-in-one workstation, though you'll likely upgrade in the future because... come on, it's a Casio . But all you need for now is a wav recorder like Audacity [google it] and the audio cable and adapter, which shouldn't cost too much. Hooray! visual reference!
  19. Open it up and poke around, just pay attention and see how it's built. I have a Wurlitzer organ in my store but it's got some major problems, like a loud vibrating noise when it's turned on ;[
  20. Do what everyone else does. Get a Harley and take the muffler off.
  21. OMG U FOUND ME OUT Nah, all my coworkers are level-headed people. We do get the mentally handicapped as volunteers, but only occasionally.
  22. GET A GOOD PAIR OF SHOES I work retail at Goodwill [a thrift store] right now. It's basically a mad rush to put priced+donated junk onto the shelves and take the old stuff out. It's always interesting though, and we get a few crazy customers now and then, like that guy with a cap and heavy coat that just mumble and swear to himself, looks at toys for a few minutes then leaves. I love our regulars I get paid minimum wage, but Washington's minimum is pretty damn good if I do say so myself [at least while living with my parents]
  23. I agree! I wish I could download the songs but at least it's free to listen.
  24. Message>> We're delighted to present a second release from Finnish graphic artist and musician Flutterspot, following the 'Labmat EP' back in early 2006, and this time round, 'Suitable For A Desire To Share' is almost 40 minutes of lushly layered electronic music to die for - or at least freeze a little bit. We start off with the oddly titled 'Small, Brightly Coloured, Highly Arboreal', which hops up into the trees for some almost Boards Of Canada-esque loping beats and marvellously complex electronic beats. From there on, there's just all kinds of mature fun to be had, with 'Cumulonimbus Arcus' looping all over the place in delight. What else? Blimey, 'A Minor Lovesong' is all guitars and style and 'Hover In Mid-Air' is semi-ambient bliss, and this all adds up to one of the most accomplished Monotonik releases we've had in some time - so everyone say thank you to the mysterious Flutterspot, eh?
