  1. Are you sure it's not the main router to connect with? The wireless part of the equation at my house would sometimes go on the fritze do to power surges amoung other things, but sometimes it was also messed up because the router the company gave us CONSTANTLY drops during some times of the year. You might want to talk to your provider and see about it, I know for us the reason they gave for the constant drops is 'youre at the end of the network and every time we get a new customer in your area it'll drop your connection.' They gave us a new/faster router as compensation, it still drops at some points of the year, but most of the time it's fine, and the wireless one is ok.
  2. I'd enter...when there's themes I actually feel an idea to draw for, saddly that's very rarely. I also have a tablet now, unlike before so it'll be easier to enter even on a whim and not have my wrist threatening to give me carple tunnel or something. If you all pick something cave story at any point, I have an idea that's been sitting in the back of my head for 3 months now but hasn't seen the light of day.
  3. Playing brawl online generally means I get more exercize daily...mainly because I end up running back and forth between the TV room and my computer...It's kind of fun just cause exercise is invigorating, but I start to get tired after a while. Gotta remember to install aim on my dads laptop...I'm sure he won't mind any.
  4. I don't know, the only person I've played from OCR is Arek.
  5. If you think that's science I hope you aren't any form of scientist, cause I wouldn't want you anywhere near science.
  6. Actually if you look at the tiers for Melee he was something like top of bottom tier, I believe "worse character" was mewtwo or pichu in the last list that was compiled. There's nothing much that can be said for brawl though, since it's not been out long enough to make tiers. Edit: here's the bottom tier for melee. 19. Yoshi 20. Zelda 21. Mr. Game and Watch 22. Ness 23. Bowser 24. Kirby 25. Pichu 26. Mewtwo If the charactrs were divided evenly, than Yoshi would be close to middle tier right on the dot (link took it, at #13, but I think he was higher up on the Japanese tier), which makes a lot of sense since he (yoshi) was generally considered the most balanced character in the game. Also, melee isn't Brawl, so it's pretty silly to compare the brawl yoshi to the melee one. If there was a "better" character that fit my play style than yoshi I might play him, but as it is, I think I"ll just stick with my cute little dinosaur.
  7. Had Oedipus known she was his mother he would have never boned her either.
  8. That doesn't change the fact that your little comment of "oh you were using X character? That's your problem!" was poorly thought out, considering who you were responding to PLACED with said character. If you're going to imply any character sucks really bad, at least do it to someone that actually did poorly. That and, while I think there is a bit of merit to some characters being better than others, I think it's pretty idiotic to tell anyone that they lost because of their character choice.
  9. I liked it, made some interesting points, although it did drag on a tad/get competitive. The end was pretty amusing.
  10. Yoshi isn't really as bad as a lot of people make him out to be.
  11. Now if I ever catch you online I want to see your Yoshi. (mained Yoshi since the 64 days).
  12. I think it depends on what kind of game it is, like others have said. I bet I might have enjoyed the new Yoshis island on the DS if the music wasn't so...bland. I think that might just be because I LOVED the first Yoshis Island and it's music, so I feel really let down when I play the DS one, and get the tripe it calls music. T_T Sometimes I still try to play it on occasion with the sound turned down, but that doesn't feel right either...and some of the sound effects are messed up. I think music (and sound) are very important to a games enjoyment in most cases. It goes a very long way to giving the game it's feel. I think that's also just a personal opinion, because I've known people that turn the music (but not always the sound) off in all games they play, even if it's good music that suits the game well, they just don't want it.
  13. This review was the most amusing in a while for me The song at the end....was weird. Detachable penis?
  14. Yeah, I realize I probably worded that poorly, but meh. Getting to conduct for stuff she wrote, and having had a hand in the way it sounds, is pretty cool. I agree with him that she is an incredibly talented composer, and knowing the Macross Plus music, he, and the orchestra did great in conducting/performing it.
  15. Oooh, he got to work with Yoko Kanno a few times too. He's a lucky fellow that has worked on some really amzing scores.
  16. Actually, no I'll like a song for whatever the hell reason I want to, not because you told me why I should like it. Also, neat midi OA.
  17. I actually haven't has a lot of lag. I got it a few times the first time I played Arek, and I got it nonstop during two battles I did earlier this week. (Which made me have to quite as it caused motion sickness). But I've had way more lag free battles than battles with lag. But normally it plays ok...I do wish it was easier to play meaningful matches online and stuff though, but that's partially the nintendo FC thing there. >.< (If anyone wants to play let me know btw)
  18. Yeah, good projectors are...well really expensive to get and upkeep, the only people I know with projectors have tons of extra cash to spend, and I think they use their projectors for everything not just TV. (Turning one of those things on and off just once or twice will toast a bulb, it's best to just leave them on once you turn them on).
  19. Nah, just annoying little boys that pop outof the ground and use annoying pokemon like zubat. >.<
  20. So basically a pokefan incarnate? Or like those characters that dress like a pikachu only to turn out to be humans that want to challenge you? I guess you don't need to start worrying till ninjas start to show up...
  21. It looks like a fun game, I felt a little skeptical at first but the article had me at "I could also build a hovering plane with a winch and simply yank the suction machine out of the ground and bring it straight over to the coconuts themselves." But I like building things, and it's kind of neat if certain objectives can be completed in different, unorthodox ways. Too bad I don't plan on ever owning a 360. :S Maybe my dad will buy it on a whim and I can play it....
  22. I'm not clicking on anything nor joining a "debate" because this is an exersize in futility, and you making a bunch of annoying double posts with a rude flair to your typing style.
  23. Well gee I guess everyone should stop playing music, because they're doing some sort of "cardinal sin" by having different tones and articulations, might as well get robots to play the music, only to realize how dead music sounds when it's played exactly perfectly. Why are you even bothering with this argument, you're not going to change how anyone feels about music and how it is done any more than someone is going to change your opinion.
  24. Different musicians playing classical music are not expendable. Every musician has a different sound, and temperament to how they play. It's not like every trumpet player plays/sounds exactly the same, or every cello, or flute player. When someone plays music, sure they're doing what the sheet music is telling them, and what the conductor is telling them (one reason some conductors are considered so great, is in how they interpret the music further). Every musician is going to bring something different to the table, one guy playing a solo in a piece might bring something completely different from the next guy playing the exact same solo. Even in a non solo situation, there's going to be differences in articulation and sound from one muscician to the next.
