  1. Why? Is my thoughts mostly, I couldn't even finish the original series because So Long and Thanks For All the Fish rather sucked in my opinion. (So I didn't even bother with what came after). But really now, this bothers me, it seems like an excuse to try to squeeze some more money out of the series than anything else. Edit: Or as someone else said on another forum "Hey, there's a dead cow over there! Let's try to milk it!"
  2. Hmm, yeah I guess that's true jpop is more sincere I guess. I've never really been able to put my finger on why I like the jpop that show's up in anime. I know there are some styles of it that I have found unappealing but that's just cause the stylistic sound of it is well not appealing to my musical taste. Also I feel like I'm bound to post something in this thread now just cause people keep doing it, cause bandwagons are fun, or something. 3. Maybe when I'm watching anime it's entirely the wrong kind, but I don't know any anime that is completely full of JPop, and what little Jpop I have heard in anime I have found enjoyable anyway, which says a lot cause I generally hate pop music. Also, we get the point, you hate Jpop good for you.
  4. My piece seems to be coming along pretty well, I'm not worried anymore about not finishing it in time. I kind of wish I knew a game with more mechy mechs, well I do but I don't really want to draw one of those...even though they look neat.
  5. I never really have understood the difference between "casual" and "hardcore" It seems any game can be one or the other depending on how much someone actually likes to play it. I bet a lot of you would call this game I play called Puzzle Pirates a casual game, yet it's got some pretty hardcore players in it, especially when it comes to shoppe running and blockading. Then again I'll play any game as long as it's fun, I don't care if the image for it is "casual" or "hardcore" cause that's not really important.
  6. I don't know why either, considering I know all my friends, and my settings are set to friends only. I don't really think it has anything to do with friends or facebook settings.
  7. I'm not really sure how well I trust Facebook to be "private" even when you set the settings to only allow those you have as friends see it. I say this because despite having my privacy settings fairly hardcore, when I had my cell number up I kept getting spam text messages on it. They stopped as soon as I took the number down. So just about every time I try to set up stuff with my friends we get to spend time confirming we all have the same phone numbers as last time since all of us don't have that info readily available on our profiles. Overall though I feel relatively secure with facebook, but that may also be because there's no reason anyone would ever want to stalk someone like me.
  8. Well I guess you're getting your wish then...provided I finish it in time. If I don't though I'll PM you a link whenever I do finish it.
  9. I guess that gives us two robotnics, I hope we aren't doing the same robotnicy/eggmany thing though. Probably are though given eggmans taste in mecha... I eagerly await being able to compare our robotnics!
  10. The games I've found myself playing over and over again are Ecco the Dolphin, Ecco:The Tides of Time just because the background story is really interesting to me and I enjoy the music/game play. Starfox 64 cause it's pretty awesome, as well as Sonic 2 and S3&k on the PC (to the point where I had all of the super emeralds on all the characters). Cave Story might add itself to that list once I've had it long enough to warrant more than the token 2-3 runthroughs. I'm sure some day I'll get bored enough to try to speed run Ballos rather than my current 14 minutes, but for now, I'm content to leave it be. I guess the list would be longer, but I don't really think stuff like Mario Kart/party, Smash bros and the like would count since they're kind of party games rather than play through a story games. Edit: Oh, and SMW2: Yoshi's Island and Mario RPG.
  11. Yeah true, but normally when I draw something, it's done in 3-5 hours. This time around I might spend 2-3 hours on it and am still not very near to being done. Although I think it's pretty successful, I just need to keep myself at it or it'll never get finished!
  12. I got a new computer, so I'm trying something completely different from how I usually draw/color (not that any of you know how I usually draw or color anything ) I'm not sure if I'll finish it, but I can always hope.
  13. Hmm, mechs are hard, but I'll push myself to the challenge. Maybe...
  14. I'm really hoping Ninja-san posts a finished version of that, just the skethyness on it's own is really impressive.
  15. That game looks both interesting and increadibly corny at the same time. (those weird scenes with the woman and the wiimote didn't help much)
  16. I'm going crazy waiting for the pictures to be posted, I want to see what you all coughed up. I bet even those of you lamenting your lack of time/rush jobs did pretty well.
  17. The piece I did for this contest is one of the few I have done that I am extremely satisfied with, even looking back at it now a week or two after I finished it. That is increadibly rare, but it's also why I love art contests, cause they seem to bring it out in me more often than most of my personal projects have.
  18. I really enjoyed the graphics in WW, I often like cel shaded graphics though. The TP ones are good too and have a bit of a cartoonie flare to them, but I honestly tend to feel more pull to graphics that are neat and stylized over realistic and textury. WW amused me, had interesting fun to look at graphics, had good pacing and story, and while some people hated the sailing, I rather enjoyed it. Especially finding all the different islands/ships/submarines and solving the puzzles for them. WW is the only Zelda game I've felt very absorbed by. Granted I've only played 4 (LA,OoT, WW and a bit of TP) I can't really comment on TP beyond the control and targetting scheme seeming annoying and clunky. I was playing it with a friend, but Okami sort of stole my attention away from finishing TP. I promised him I wouldn't play TP without him, so I have to wait till December to get back to it.
  19. I dunno about the case of the fields and tracks, but in the case of the pool, one of the reason records have been broken so much in that pool is because of it's design apparently. Basically it's a "faster" pool. It has two extra lanes and is deeper than normal pools, so waves and currents and stuff created in the pool from swimming are less of a hindrance on the swimmers, allowing them to go faster when they swim. Or at least that's what I've heard. My physics master boyfriend says it makes sense but he's not sure how much of an effect it truly had on the swimmers times.
  20. I want to see it, but at the same time the art style really bothers me. Probably will rent it at some point though. The sound effects make me feel excited though, I love starwars sfx and music though...
  21. I got stuck on Mission to Mars, or rather got too tired for it, not really my sort of game but I do know someone who will enjoy it quite a lot.
  22. I can't help but wonder how fast Usain Bolt would have finished the 100m run if he had done it to the fullest extent instead of letting off near the end.
  23. Upon returning home my computers harddrive has started acting like it's going to die soon. So I may or may not submit only the pencils I did, depending on how quickly I can back everything up over to my dads computer.
