  1. Sorry Trenth - it's definitely an adjective in that sentence. "officer eats" - "police" defines what kind of officer.
  2. Below the bottom tip of top line of the "T" in "wheat". Although, I'm pretty sure it's more meth than wheat here. According to Ramrod's map, I'm part of the "in the way", where actually all the Indians live. It seems like there should be some kind of joke to be made with "Indians" and "in the way", but um. "That's what Andrew Jackson said!" (Indian Removal Act, for those not living in the wonderful [?] USA.)
  3. I had the same freak out on Christmas Day - my Wii had been connecting forever and we were getting ready to leave town... luckily it finished before we left. But yes! Baseball - way back when my church youth group had a arcade machine with a bunch of NES games on it (some weird setup... MM3 and Baseball were perennial favorites) and the hilarity of Baseball-madness owned.
  4. My girlfriend. Sometimes, I can't tell when people on the intarnub are serious or joking. This is one of those times.
  5. Just started playing TP yesterday, went through to picking up the first set of tears... Also, Linkjing, who's the chick in the "cutegirlvp5.gif" image in you sig?
  6. Hah, me too. Never even tried to log into the East server. What rank are you/what weapon type are you using the most? Also, what do you use for close-quarters? It's usually a toss-up for the winner of those for me... I don't like the melee weapons, but I'm at a disadvantage with my SMG/shotgun combo.
  7. Don't know of any deep mech games that aren't in the Mechwarrior series, but if you want to try a mech-lite game just for some quick fun, try to get in on the closed beta for Exteel The action is fast-paced and they seem to have tried to model the game after the humanoid mecha found in anime such as Gundam Wing rather than the mobile weapons platforms of the Battletech universe. Still, might be worth looking into to kill some time while you're looking for your next 'serious' mech game. I'm not that great at shooters in general and this is the 1st time I try one with a mouse and KB setup, but I'm having fun. There's plenty of customization to be done, though your options will be somewhat limited until you increase in rank. You also level up as a pilot and get attribute points that you can put to marksmanship, speed, scan range, etc. Additionally, the more you use a specific weapon class, say ranged weaps, the more proficient you will become with it which in turn grants bonuses to heat reduction, damage, RoF, etc. My IGN is Ardney. Maybe I'll see some of you guys on soon. Hey, I'll look you up. I got into the beta a few days ago, at Sergeant now... kinda low on credits, but whatever. Pretty fun, if simple. I was expecting more MMORPG-ishness, but this is better, I think. Name's Syncopation in-game, BTW.
  8. I'm sure it's totally possible, the hardest part would be having the game recognize the controller as keystrokes (while customizing the controls).
  9. Gonna have to try all those, but I do love playing Kansas. Also, the solo on I Love Rock and Roll (By Joan Jett) is plain fantastic. My sister swore to buy me a guitar for Christmas after she saw me play it.
  10. I found nice FTP with pretty much any song for FoF ever, as well as some good mods - including a few for augmenting the miss sounds (yay!). Also has custom labels for most if not all the songs, which is a nice change from the all-blue tapes. Host: ftp.cry-freedom.com ID: FoF PW: guitar
  11. Oooh, exactly. I really hate those errors. Not so much the noise as the total out-of-place-ness when you're playing an acoustic song... and that they never deviate. And that I get them very often. 'cause I'm doubleplus ungood. (1984, FTW.)
  12. Just wondered who all played FoF. I know that supremespleen plays, and I've seen Dhsu's name associated with a FoF version of Awe of She somewhere. For those of you who don't know, Frets on Fire is a free spin-off of Guitar Hero (1 and 2) for PS2. You hold your keyboard upside-down with the keys facing out from you, and use the F1 - 5 keys for frets and the Enter key to pick. You can get it here, with additional songs here. Also, if I understand right, with a copy of GH2, you can get all the songs from the game into FoF. I heard that it can take 8+ hours, though, and wonder if anyone here has tried it.
  13. Oh! I understand it now. Between you and wikipedia, I think I comprehend it a bit better. The cardinality was what was confusing me, I think. Oh, so anyway. A few years ago, a few students had to find the center of a circle or something. Basically, they wrote a arctan program, and I remember a little bit of it, but it didn't make a bit of sense. I think it is this, from wiki: But I'm not sure. Why does that work, anyway? Is it because the difference between the two approach ±(π/2)?
  14. On Bahamut's topic, I was thinking about groups/subgroups the other day. For example, it is possible to have both the group and the subgroup to have infinite possibilities, right? (I was thinking along the lines of secants and diameters of circles. There are an infinite number of possible secants, and an infinite number of possible diameters. However, all diameters are secants, but not all secants diameters.) So, how does having infinity as a subset work out? It almost seems to indicate that inf > inf in the secant-diameter problem, and therefore inf != inf? Is that technically true? (I'm not well versed in the abstract qualities of infinity - but don't things like "inf - 2*inf = inf" work out?)
  15. Unfortunately, Verizon makes it quite difficult to change settings on my router . I didn't have a problem messing with my router and I gots Verizon... Well, when going into my router settings, I entered the username & password for Verizon online and it didn't work. The default username/password for the router doesn't work either, so I'm confused as to what could the username/password be. It doesn't really matter at this point anyway, since I leave for my school in an hour. http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm Try there: choose your router and go to Default Guide link near the top of the router's page. Just look at the top few steps (mostly just the logging in - they have the default passwords for all of them, if it was changed, can't help you obviously). Hope it's a little help in getting this silly thing off the ground. EDIT: Jacked, slightly by 1117. He's right on the router pass vs. the Verizon pass, but I think it's highly unlikely that your router signal isn't reaching your Wii - unless you like in a concrete bomb shelter, the signal will still get pretty far even through walls/floors. He also brings up a good point about multiple users on the network - although most routers now automatically do that if you're running through it, and wireless is a little odd, as well.
  16. I'll be sorry to see ZTnet go, they've done so much for OCR. But I think the Pretz hit it head on. We're big enough to move on to a more professional set-up. Bye, ZTNet.
  17. This is getting to be a pretty jamming thread. Yeah, I've got nothing to contribute.
  18. Similar thing happened to me last night, some sort of glitch, I guess. BTW, what team is everyone? I'm green at the moment, though may be looking to change to find easier trade opportunities. I think a lot of OCR people are orange. I count seven oranges (spleen, me, Foxx, Necn, Smedricks, Raenok, and bliz), one green (you), one blue (Pelto), and one none (phthisis). Also, if one wants to resubmit those trade requests... that'd be great, although I think everyone is full up right now. EDIT: I wish, I wish, I wish that the maps played a bigger part. It'd be nice if you could see all the markers for your team, or everyone on your saved nations list.
  19. I'm confused. I had like, four messages telling me I had trade requests (including Smedricks and Necn), but when I go to the trade screen, the only trade agreement I can choose from is Bliz. Did everyone pull their's out on me, or am I missing something?
  20. Nation: Iron Directorate Location: Mexican Peninsula (19.31114335506464, -89.296875) Don't expect much action from me, I'm deep into Oblivion right now, so... I agree with BM, I want my own flag! Looks like a nice game though. Nice find, spleen. EDIT: Spleen, I have t3h sugar (And uranium. What else do you need, really.), but all your trade slots are full. Do you still need it, or what?
  21. Up and running. I used to run BOINC, but it eventually died on me. This is a better looking screen saver anyhow.
  22. Good easy-on-the-ears stuff by one of my favorite easy-on-the-ears remixer. po!, once again, delivers.
  23. Why is every Castlevania song rock-metal? There are other genres, people. Too close to the source material, not enough new arrangement. And like drk said, the organ needs more love. I'ma have to say no.
  24. Very nice. Glad to see the ol' Beatdrop style hasn't lost any of it's edge.
