Feels very nice... it has a very nice atmosphere, and I love the fact that you haven't used any FAKE synths. Nice, nice stuff..

This song is pure atmosphere greatness. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here!. although the instruments here aren't that good. You should look for new samples (there's edirol super quartet, garritan personal orchestra, EWQL symphonic blah blah... and so... and if those are too big, try to find some soundfonts). Apart from that, try working on a more complete orchestration, and this is nice to go. Once again, congratulations about the atmosphere you've built here, it's awesome!

Shadow of the Colossus Rock Remix
John Revoredo replied to Cerrax's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
This feels cool. You really need some new samples... I think I've recognized Edirol Super Quartet's guitar somewhere around here... but i'm not too sure . Really, I like the song very much, specially the solo, which "rocks!"... but, man this songs screams for better samples and a real guitar!. -
Man... the beginning feels like madness!!!... sounds like randomizer stuff. Then comes the piano. That part is nice, i like it, and i think you should put it before. Really, don't save the best for the end,, you must catch listener's attention from the beginning!!!. So, if I were you I would start the song straight from the piano part, and from there start building up. Ah, and try putting a lead melody: a violin? a piano? a guitar?,... just something that does a melody. Nice stuff .

Chrono Trigger - Ocean Palace
John Revoredo replied to Sole Signal's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Cool! . Liked the drums and the overall feel here, and yeah... I have to agree, fake guitars aren't as sexy as real guitars... but there's some nice buildup here. I think you should go trying with some more instruments and stuff. This feels like a candy that is way too sweet.... so, you get tired of so much sugar little time after, so , why don't you try with a bit of salt?? (ok,,, i know i'm not the best with metaphors, but... you know what i mean!! ) -
Feels very nice, even if everything are synthezisers. Liked very much the beginning, there are no real flaws here, but it would of course sound better if it was played on real instruments! . And well,,, the second part.... just a thing of tastes, I don't like those 80's synths, i think this part really spoils the great atmosphere you developed on the first part. I think you should continue building the first part, develop it until a climax, and then end. There's no room to dance here, but for feelings and emotions Anyway, good stuff dude!

Update! --> VERSION 2a So, here's the new stuff. http://media.putfile.com/Prometheus-A-Story-About-ManV2 It's still unfinished. I tried to put the Jazz Jackrabbit main theme at the end, but I'm not really sure if that fits the mood of the song. And there's some kind of marimba thing somewhere LOL. (and sorry about the 5 second-silence at the beginning ) What do you think? Is this mix HOT or NOT ? -------- Previous versions ---------- --> Version 1 http://media.putfile.com/Prometheus-A-Story-about-Man Had some inspiration on Nine Inch Nails distorted electronic stuff. So, here are the questions for you all: Is it worthy to finish the mix? In case it is, do you think judges would accept this? ---- This is what is said in the beginning of the mix "This is a story about man, about the ending that became the beginning, about the lost sons, and forgotten heroes this is a story about ourselves"

Here you can download the latest version of the remix. http://www.megaupload.com/es/?d=0FMMN044 And here, you can read the judgement: http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=92290 Thanks

Well, theorically I'm the mixer of the sacrifice 3. In fact, i've got a wip and I don't know why my name isn't there as the remixer. I guess i'll have to keel USA. Anyway, you have many others songs to pick, and if you're REALLY interested on the sacrifice part 3, we might talk about it. -

Hi, i'm actually on a song and need a singer. If you sing (relatively) well, and are willing to do a kickass song, then check this out: http://rapidshare.de/files/33336438/Prometheus_-_Life_Will_Teach_Us_Nothing_C.mp3.html (the song) http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2587500#2587500 (here's the thread) -
10/10 . The piano part was nice(nothing special though), but the best here is the orchestral part, which resembles to Terminator theme. Very nice. And then, the drums?!! What the? (suprised) Excellently writted drums, i liked them . This kicks ass. Some taiko drumming, then orchestral again. Congratulations, this is excellent. i will be honest, this kicks ass

7/10. Crazy stuff. Is nicely done, though i'm not a fan of the source tune. In 0:48 enters some kind of bass which I disliked. Nice arrangement of the theme with steel drums. Is not the kind of music I'm used to hear, but a nice work anyway. You've done an outstanding remix if we compare to the source tune.
