  1. http://www.mediafire.com/?jn5aa37ak3s9kc5 this is my remix of "Panic Puppet Zone" from Sonic 3DBlast. hope you enjoy.
  2. Original Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LxAGq-6V3Y My Rendition: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/357588 Did this arrangement a while ago. Lemme know what you guys think!
  3. I redid my remix From Within with baritone guitars instead of standard guitars. Hope you enjoy!
  4. This mix mostly fell into place over the course of 48 hours. [/false] original: you only need to listen to the first minute or so before it starts looping. mine: (version 8.) Submitted! breakdown: the original has three parts (pretty much yeah): 0:00 - 0:19 = (part a) three chords 0:19 - 0:38 = (part toybox melody 0:38 - 0:58 = (part c) keyboard rolls my song uses each piece like so: 0:00 - 0:11 = a (very loosely) 0:11 - 0:43 = a 0:43 - 1:14 = b 1:14 - 1:29 = c 1:29 - 1:45 = a 1:45 - 2:15 = a...some more 2:15 - 2:29 = c 2:29 - 3:16 = b other notes and such: My main concern is that everyone will find it repetitive and boring. I was aiming for a chill-out-esque thing...something between Aphex Twin's "Cliff", "Xtal", and [insert anything Pogo has ever created here]. fun fact: my sister introduced the original song to me AND provided the vocal bits when I said I was going to remix it.
  5. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/394376 Written for the music behind a daring, dangerous escape. Feedback is ALWAYS appreciated! I'm looking for as MUCH as I can get
  6. Hi there guys, thought I'd share my latest track, which is all free since selling music is little point these days bwhaha. So I hope all of you who check it out enjoy this piece I've done called Seppuku. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/398028 I read a lot about the Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment which was mostly used by the Samurai, and I felt like expressing the emotions that I get while imagining it in my mind. It starts off with the preparations after the choice by the Samurai has been made. I wanted to express this as a confident choice, like there's no doubt in his mind. Like it will be a release into another world. The heavier parts coming up, was made to express the tension as the knife comes into the picture and when he prepares it for the actual action. It then gets more and more intense as he does the ritual in its fullest. Let your imagination picture the scene while listening. The piano transition and the orchestral parts means he has crossed to the spiritual world. He is free, no regret and there's no turning back. Enjoy...
  7. It's meant to sound triumphant. Have a listen, and lemme know how I did. I need better instruments...
  8. Hey all, Well I haven't been to this site in like forever, submitted only one remix about 4 years ago only for it to fail in the review and where I said I'd redo it, I got a bit tied up (aka Ristar Remix). In any case, I thought I'd share a little video here. It's a video compilation of both remixes and originals that I did with just using the little big planet 2 sequencer. Frown yes (whatever >_> lol) but it was excellent practice in manual composition and designing a track with limited samples and limited resources available to me aka the older standards of classic game song composition. So it was great to get the practice in. Hope you guys like and hope some sound familiar to you all P.S. The swing quantizer in the game sucks and "there is" a very asinine way to get sequences in 3/4 time, so Sector 6 is probably my most unfavorable remix, but it didn't turn out too too bad :/ .
  9. Here's a song I cut last week under the moniker Zeon EX. Its called "Hey, We Can Get Down." It samples "We Can Get Down" by A Tribe Called Quest, but relatively conservatively in my opinion. Its an electro-house track. I hope you enjoy! http://www.mediafire.com/?0yy8db8697u4b2m
  10. Hi all here's our latest song its an electronic/game soundtrack song http://soundcloud.com/trillium/cloud-gate
  11. So I wrote this when I was about 14 or 15 years old. It's just a short jam but I recently decided to record it for the hell of it. I believe it was influenced by the F-Zero GX soundtrack at the time. The game had this awesome drop tuned metal/electronic soundtrack. So I guess that's what I was going for. Pick your poison: Youtube! - You can leave angry comments and see a picture! Soundcloud - Better sound quality and you can see a pretty waveform! I'm aware the tone sucks but it's all I got.
  12. This was made using samples I recorded of a small, 19-string harp http://soundcloud.com/theophany/theophany-folk-harp Let me know what you think!
  13. my newest song on fl studio im pretty happy with this one, even though i find it a bit boring comment plz
  14. Hello! Another experiment in sound. Any critics, advice, thoughts are welcome!! http://official.fm/tracks/206378 I want this track with vocals in future, but I not even started to think about lyrics. So any suggestions will be GREAT!! Thank You!
  15. I am helping my friends with an iso-metric RPG project, and one of my favorite parts of the job is making themes for areas. The writer sends me a description of the area, the culture of the people, the color schemes, etc. and I provide a musical expression to reflect all that. This track is one our writer loves very much and I thought I would share it with you. It's an area theme, so the energy is subdued, ambient and unobtrusive. The instrumentation (aside from strings) is that of primitive folk instruments, to express the unrefined and druidic culture of the Elves who live in the forest. The melodic instruments are a Panflute and a Ney, and the drums are Dhol, Udu, Tabla and Djembe. The bells are Gamelan. http://soundcloud.com/andy-frank/wild-elf-dungeon Enjoy!
  16. This is a piece I made quite some time ago. I designed it as if it were in a Pokemon game for one of its battle themes. I think it turned out pretty well. I've had good reviews on it so far. http://tindeck.com/listen/pokn
  17. Hey guys, I've been working on some music lately with a program I recently downloaded and I thought I'd share a Zelda tribute. This is my first serious composition (I know it's far from perfect), but I'd appriciate some feedback or constructive criticism as well as your own personal thoughts. Thanks!
  18. This is a song I've made within the last month or so and posted to my YouTube channel. It's sort of a quirky instrumental piece. Any feedback would be appreciated, especially pointers/tips. Thanks, guys, and hope you enjoy.
  19. Just a quick original thing as a break from game mixes. http://soundcloud.com/the-radical-sifu/chillin-on-the-moon
  20. I was up at 1 in the morning after the OHC and made this in two hours. It turned into like a space game feel. Tell me what you think of it so I can get better. 2 bullets
  21. Download.mp3 It's a slowed down breakbeat take on Fragma's "Toca's Miracle". More tunes can be found on my website
  22. So, I did a remix of Band Land for the PRC a long time ago. I touched it up and I think it's ready for submission but I figured I'd get some feed back before I send it in. http://soundcloud.com/vabrew/jazz-band-isle
  23. Hey, everyone! This here is "Sundown," an original song written by me in August-September of 2010. I spent a few months recording it - it was a lot of hard work because I'm a perfectionist and refused to compromise quality, haha. I sang, arranged, and played all the instruments (harp, guitar, keyboard) except for percussion (djembe, tambourine, rainstick), which was done by my husband. The instruments are all acoustic except for the keyboard, which is that subtle "bass" sound later in the song. It's the first song I wrote on the harp, which I've been playing since May 2010. I poured my soul into this song and recording, so I hope you guys like it! Feedback will be appreciated. Thanks! Youtube link: MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/natalyazarraga
  24. It's been a long time since my last post. Anyway, a couple of months ago, I launched this club among a small circle of friends on IRC. The idea is, that each month there's a different theme, and people can create any art for said theme (music, 3D, short stories, photography, anything). Once the deadline is up, we listen/watch/read the created work in sync in random order and comment on them. It's been a great opportunity to get feedback, and the club challenges me to create something that (hopefully) fits the given theme, even if remotely. Plus I get to try out different kinds of (new) genres. That way I could hopefully develop as a musician. I'd like to show you what I've done for the past themes, here they are, from newest to oldest: January 2011, Theme: "Titaanin tanssiinkutsu" (The titan's invite to a dance or something like that; The titan's challenge perhaps): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Inside_The_Ancient_Temple_Of_Gods.mp3 December 2010, Theme: "Kaunis Anni kun surmattiin" (As beautiful Anni was slain): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Aaneti_Hankeen_Hukkunut_Taistelu_Elamasta.mp3 (Title translates to "Drown in snow silently (The battle for life)") December 2010 Bonus Theme (my own): "Kaunis Anni kun hurmattiin" (As beautiful Anni was charmed): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Esikoinen_Taapersi_Kuvioihin.mp3 (Title translates to "The firstborn toddled into the picture") November 2010, Theme: "Esihistoriallinen iltapäivä" (Prehistoric Afternoon): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/135436/DiseasedProject/Jurakauden_Tunnetuin_Metsastaja.mp3 (Title translates to "The most well-known hunter of the Jurassic era") Hope you like them. I might update this thread after we've chewed through current themes.
  25. Yes sir. I tried orchestral this time. I didn't deviate too much from the original in terms of phrasing, but I did change some things from the original song, as well as add a string intro. The original song is called "Memories of You" from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon EOT/D/S. The remix name is "The Greatest Loss of All." Remix: http://www.remixsite.org/remixes/205-v1-TheGuitahHeroe-The_Greatest_Loss_of_All Source: Please let me know what you think -TGH
