  1. This one is fresh out of the oven. Tried adding more layers than usual to this track and some new kicks. Let me know what you think! https://soundcloud.com/xsquader/end-of-the-world
  2. It wasn't meant to be Gerudo Valley, but after I finished it I noticed some resemblances to the well-known track from "The Legend of Zelda". I think, if looked at from that position, you could see this as a dramatic reinterpretation of that material. https://soundcloud.com/journeyjay/track-22
  3. Alright so this was my entry for round 1 of last year's WCRG. newest update: https://app.box.com/s/c0uxdx8hcojkv50rctv2 EDIT: new version #2: https://app.box.com/s/9b2yxw3xxnxpi8abn897
  4. https://soundcloud.com/robkta/um-amigo-bossa-pra-ayrtontribute-to-ayrton-senna-free-download As everyone's submitting original stuff I figured out I could share something too This year has been the 20th anniversary of Ayrton Senna's death, one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. In his honor I figured I could compose this short bossa nova piece (he was Brazilian) in his honor Short piece but I think it came out nicely. A decent tribute.
  5. Electronic track. Repetitive as usual, but yes. Laketown
  6. I don't know if I posted this here before but enjoy and if you have any feedback please don't hesitate to give it: https://soundcloud.com/mickomoo/mother-earth-earthbound-zero
  7. Hi, new to this site here This is my Uni project I have been working on for the past months or so. This is hopefully my finished product and hope you guys like it. Please keep in mind that this hasn't been mastered yet, so the levels are quite quiet, but once the track has been mastered I'll post it here as soon as. All feedbacks welcome https://soundcloud.com/nazo-aka/nuclear-fusion
  8. Don't know if it does classify as VGM Remix as it's a remix of a videogame remix, but I figured out I could share this one too: a little remix I did sometime ago of halc's tune "Da Mines" from his Donkey Kong remix album Club Kong Moar disco stuff as you can hear https://soundcloud.com/robkta/halc-da-mines-robkta-baboon
  9. http://junk.seikdel.net/DeadlyDuoFinal.mp3 Okay, it's time to submit this. I've been kicking it around on my hard drive for 3 years since finishing it, and I need to man up and take the feedback. Setting the stage: You're a young man whose village suffered a catastrophe 3 years ago. On that fateful night, you and your friend were attacked by a pair of vagabonds. They've just now returned, kidnapping your friends in their quest to unleash a forbidden and long-sealed-away power on the world. You have finally cornered them on top of a tall lighthouse, and you have gained the upper hand in battle. As they fall to their knees, lightning flashes and they fuse! A light blinds you, and as you blink the spots out of your eyes, you see a two-headed dragon where your foes were! The theme of this song is pairs of foes who, together, make up an opponent greater than the sum of the parts. For that, I used battles from these two phenomenal games. There are four songs included in this remix: Saturos and Menardi's battle theme (the aforementioned two-headed beast) (aka Chrono Trigger boss theme 2) Please give me feedback on this. The checklist in this thread is a great place to start. This was my first major remix project, and to be honest, it shows. I bit off a lot to chew, and while I think it holds together pretty well, it was definitely a learning experience for me. One big goal with this project is to add another Golden Sun song to the catalog. The game has an amazing soundtrack, and we've got a sadly sparse offering here. Thanks for reading, thanks for listening, and thanks for any feedback!
  10. https://soundcloud.com/skoshu/sultans-of-slop
  11. If you bought both Sonic Colors and the latest Daft Punk album you'll know what this is all about. Short composition, just for a laugh :3 You can laugh too https://soundcloud.com/robkta/planet-by-wisp-planet-wisp
  12. Basically, I find clean electric guitars with reverb to sound soothing. Also, snares with delay sound trippy. This is also me learning how to use Reaper better. https://soundcloud.com/angelcityoutlaw/somber-skies
  13. This is not a serious remix that I am trying to submit, just something fun. I build synthesizers, and I like the idea of remixing music from a game that isn't out yet. So here you go! 36 voices of FM synthesis, the Soundblaster 16 treatment of game music from 2014.
  14. Hey guys, thought I'd share this here. This is a medley for the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy. Here's my references: - I started with Cascade Capers (DKC 3). - There is an Aquatic Ambience nugget with the strings when they come in (around 1:40ish). - At around 2:00 is Stickerbrush Symphony (DKC 2). - At around 4:00 is a melody from Voices of the Temple (DKC 1). - At 4:56 is a melody from DK Island Swing (DKC 1). - At 5:49 is Bayou Boogie (DKC 2). - And the outro has a reference to Hot-Head Bop (DKC 2). I have a more finalized version but will upload that somewhere else later probably. So here's the youtube version with my performance (which has an unfortunate video-sync problem with one track in the end). Hope you guys like it!
  15. I just finished this track, it is mostly electronic with a little bit of strings. I hope you all like it! https://soundcloud.com/jeff-penny/eldest-grisly-inn
  16. This guy used my old Naruto remix in his cooking video. =P Nice geeky fun! Video: Remix: https://soundcloud.com/timaeus222/timaeus-naruto-main-theme Remix video: Not bad for 2 years ago, eh?
  17. Hello everyone, here's my drum & bass remix of the intro music in SSBM. https://soundcloud.com/defiantmusic/defiant-smash-tribute
  18. Hey guys! Finished another chiptune this week. It's a progressive pop-esque track in a crescendo-like fashion. As expansionist as ever. Listen &/or Download: https://soundcloud.com/platonist/up Feedback appreciated as always ^^ Enjoy!
  19. | Bandcamp LinkWorking on this has been without a doubt the largest project I've ever worked on, with the total length coming in at more than double the length of any other compositions I've released on this channel, and it's also probably been the most fun to work on. Written for AccentCancel's 'Nothing is True; Everything is Permitted', a short fan-made film loosely based on Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed video-game series, this track was created during the film's post-production during a period of about two weeks. This is also the first commissioned piece that I've worked on, and it's been a really fun project to write for. Obviously it'll probably be more enjoyable to listen to it with the film itself, so check out the links below if you want to see that as well. 20. This is an Orchestral song that I completed recently. Hope everyone likes it . I used the new sounds that I got recently to make it. I know that there's some humanization issues, but I've grown a lot since Dream Bubble. https://soundcloud.com/cosmic-sounds-1/candence-falls-tsuki-no-hikari
  21. So in an effort to potentially score Urbanizm Music a side gig doing wrestling theme music, I teamed up with Mr. J1S (aka Mr. Jones, who was on my Nairobi Hop ReMix back in the day) and made a song about WWE NXT's Sasha Banks. Sasha rather enjoyed it, so I figured I'd share it here. Even if rassin' isn't your thing but you're a hip hop head, I think you could still dig it. Link (Bandcamp): http://bit.ly/1gzc414 Enjoy! -DCT
  22. TIGER JACKSON TYPE-R (YOUTUBE) TIGER JACKSON TYPER-R (SOUNDCLOUD) Mix for a cancelled project - I do hope it's enjoyable m'friends.
  23. This was arranged by our sax player Scott and has been through many incarnations before recording this video. Let us know what you think!
  24. Hi! I've been producing a few transcriptions of 8-bit tunes which I record on the EWI (Electric Wind Instrument) as multitracks. While these are video game related, I thought it most appropriate to post them in the originals section of the forums as they're not remixes, just straight transcriptions of the original source material. Here are several: Marble Madness (NES) 'Beginner' - Ghosts 'n Goblins (NES) 'Level 1' - Tetris (Gameboy) 'Theme A' - While it's not a multitrack, I've also done a rendition of the Ballad of the Windfish from Link's Awakening: I would love to hear what people think of these, or if anyone has any advice on helping to reach a larger audience. Thanks!
