  1. Hey all, This is a straight remake of one of my favorite vgm's. I'd be interested to hear any comments or criticisms! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRNimgWswAU
  2. Every few days in December, I uploaded a Christmas-style remix of a classic video game song to my channel. Now that December is over, I've completed the album and uploaded it as one big video. Most of these are just covers so I'm not planning on submitting any of them (unless you think certain ones could be accepted). I just want to post this here for you guys to enjoy. I had a lot of fun making these and I'd love for you to listen to them and let me know what your favorites are and how I could improve for next year. Thanks Track List A Canyon.mid Christmas 0:00 Christm
  3. Hello all, It's been a long time ... but I'm still making music. It's an electronic music remix for Dracula's Castle in SOTN. Hope you will like it. It's a electronic music remix with the same melody and structure but .. remanied. Castlevania Symphony Of The Night - Dracula's Castle (Dirty Delay Remix)
  4. Here is my remix of Anything But Tangerines. I used only instruments taken directly from the SNES and Genesis versions of the game, then mixed them in a DAW. It was quite the ordeal unscrambling the crazy sound channels in the SNES version, but that's a video for another day.
  5. Hi Everyone. This is my second post in this particular forum. Owing to the sheer size of this piece and the number of soundtracks and tunes used in it, I very much doubt this piece will ever be considered for use in OCR by the Judges if submitted, but I wanted to post it here and tell you a little about it. This work is a Symphonic Poem for a full Orchestra, entitled "The Creation of Hyrule". It is based upon the music and Soundtracks of several games in the Legend of Zelda Series, and was inspired, in part, by the music of the Symphony of the Goddesses Concert. In May 2013,
  6. Here's my latest remix, Keep The Groovin' from Streets Of Rage, remixed for the upcoming retro gaming film, Dreamcast Gamer: The Movie. Does this one sound more realistic from my previous remix and different enough from the original to qualify? Also, if I do submit it, what name should I give it? Thanks
  7. Yoshi Mushroom A First attempt at an OC style remix. Hard to find game, and even harder to find any reference (midi, wav, gameplay). My friend is going for a world record attempt on twitch, and this song got stuck in my head.
  8. Source: OLD LINK: https://app.box.com/s/0bavhwkcnem49jjz8fj9pq6t40asxrkn LATEST VERSION: https://app.box.com/s/5jbuhtoq3aplcnf1kn7k0be1mklfkgny Something I've put some work into over the past week. I'm really like this one so far. This is one I'm not going to be putting to the sidelines. I promise. Vocals will be re-done with some pitch correction and ad-libs. EDIT: Closer to getting done on the composition side of things. Above link should still work. Still need to re-do vocals. Just laying down melody is all haha. That falsetto in the bri
  9. As I love Hayato Asano's work for Blue Reflection, I decided to arrange one of my favorite tracks from the soundtrack for piano. The original music is incredibly dense and rich with layers, and this is something I wanted to preserve in the arrangement. This work is not intended for a sole pianist to play - though it would be possible to arrange it for two pianos - though it has been performed to great effect by an automated piano I'm blessed to have access to. Blue Reflection is not a very well known game. It's a JRPG developed by Gust (known for the Atelier, Ar Tonelico and Nights of Az
  10. Here is a straight literal remix of Ken's Stage for Super Nintendo. As in, I used emulation of extract the highest quality version of each sound channel from the original game, and then remixed it all in a DAW without adding any outside samples or tracks from any other source. Modern EQ, reverb, compression, and guitar amp simulators helped a lot to improve the sound. A few measures of the original SNES sound are spliced in for comparison.
  11. What's up guys, I'm working on a VGM Remix album. Released a few teasers at my YouTube page. Teaser 1 - Donkey Kong Country - Aquatic Ambience Teaser 2 - Chrono Trigger - Opening/Title Theme Teaser 3 - Castlevania Bloodlines - Iron-Blue Intention Music styles will be well varied.. Would be cool to hear what people think, and perhaps find some new subscribers. All the best!
  12. Hello everyone. I'm Sonistrelle and go by many a name. This here is a remix I put together for a friend and I was quickly told I should try out this website for my songs. If you'd like to make any suggestions or criticisms please do. Keep in mind I just make these songs for fun. Original song: (for comparison) I do hope at the very least you enjoy.
  13. Wassup yall! Check out my modernized, vocal remix to “Toasty Buns”, the first stage from Parappa the Rapper 2! If you ever wanted a catchy and jamming way to learn to cook a burger, this is it! Cook them patties and enjoy!
  14. Hello! I made orchestral cover for The Mad Doctor theme from Mickey's Wild Adventure game. This project was kind of practice thing where i tried different kinds of string combinations and pan techniques. Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  15. Hey all, So I'm pretty sure I can't submit this on OCRemix given the samples that I used, nor am I sure if it really fits the OCRemix style, but I thought I'd still post it here anyways Join me, Hand in Hand as we bump this to 100 Side X Side. If you didn’t get the obvious reference just now, then I can’t help ya XD. This is a stylistic Future Bass House Remix of Hand in Hand from Kingdom Hearts originally composed by Yoko Shimomura. Enjoy! SoundCloud Version: About the Project: http://pkxiii.com
  16. My new Undertale Remix. Hopes and Dreams this time ^^
  17. I'm new here. Very new. I couldnt think of a good place to start... So here it is! My first upload onto this site. Definitely not worthy for submission. A version of both Locked Girl ~ The Girl's Secret Room and Natural History of the Childlike Duo. These songs are not really linked together other than being from the same franchise but hey, I did what I did. Looking for feedback on whatever! All I'd say is bear in mind: I am a complete amateur and the mixing/mastering is rather a mess.
  18. Here's another one! As the nights are becoming longer and colder we thought to keep you guys warm with a proper shuffle blues riff, this time from the amazing niche SNES gem PLOK! The then very young Tim and Geoff Folin got something amazing out of the limited capabilities of the SNES music chip, something that is as quirky and unique as the whole game. Enjoy and remember! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feMWBujjQ2M Stefan of REMEMBER CITADEL ( https://www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband )
  19. Source: Been playing Mario for as long as I can remember. Wanted to pay homage to the series and share in my joy of the success of the newest Mario game. Much love PS Underwater themes are always my fave
  20. Source: I'll admit (despite my normal inclination toward humility) I'm damn proud of this. I don't know what I would change from a mix perspective or anything but the real question is... Too conservative for OCR? XD That's the thing I have trouble gauging. Lyrics are attached. FallingDownLryics.txt
  21. Hello Everyone! I've been remixing video game songs for a few months now and I'm finally posting them here. This is my latest remix, Ken's Theme from Street Fighter II. It's complete, but before I submit it, I need to finalize the name. Currently, I'm referring to it as "Street Fighter II Ken's Theme Hard Rock Remix," but if anyone could suggest a better name, that'd be great. Let me know what you think of this one. I have a few other completed songs that I'll post soon as well. Dallas
  22. Hi :)! I finished new cover. It's Underwater theme from Super Mario Bros. I went for the clean guitar and i think it turned out quite okay. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  23. Hey guys, I recently completed an arrangement of Song of Storms for solo piano. Still polishing up the sheet music, but I will release it eventually. I love the original tune and I really think its one of the most memorable pieces in video game music history. With my arrangement, I wanted to expand the piece a little bit harmonically and add some delicate ornamentation in the melody. The end result felt more like a piece of Breath of the Wild, than something from Ocarina of Time. I'm considering doing versions of all the ocarina tunes from the game in the future. I think it would be fun t
  24. Wassup all! Check out the vocal version of “Cap Kingdom: Bonneton” from Super Mario Odyssey! This had a Tim Burton/Nightmare Before Christmas feel so I tried make the song in such that way! Enjoy!
  25. Hey everyone ! Here's my cover of the main theme of Silent Hill. Enjoy
