  1. For this cover I tried changing some things up, added trumpets and strings higher in the mix, as well as wider shots with me actually in the picture. I also tried blending both the old theme and the new, along with my own solos. Enjoy. 2. If you liked my Monkey Island tune that was recently uploaded, you probably should check out this one and maybe you will like it Some feedback would be appreciated!
  3. https://youtu.be/yBJttAcXxFA A pretty basic cover of one of Uematsu's epic battle themes, heavily ELP/prog inspired. Hope you enjoy it!
  4. Hi Guys, I'm starting to seriously get into video game music covers and remixes. Here it is what I've done so far (names are clickable links)
  5. Here's a small composition I made. If anyone knows any way to improve it, and is kind enough to share it with, then that would make me tremendously happy. If anyone doesn't know a way to improve it, but liked it nonetheless, then I'd be happy to hear it as well. You know, for my ego. https://soundcloud.com/jorik-bergman/riomp3
  6. Ocean Lanterns Sources: / Update 4/19: Finished! Over the past year I've spent a lot of time exploring the world of modern alternative R&B (FKA Twigs, Drake, The Weeknd, Banks, James Blake, etc.) and found myself pulling a lot of inspiration from that aesthetic. I wanted to merge that style with my more traditional chillout pallet... so, lots of bells and pads and the usual fare here I think it's got a bit of a different, darker tone than what I usually write, though! The middle section of the track is still a little underwhelming, I have some work to do on dynamic control with the rhodes, and there's a couple sections that are not fully fleshed out, but for the most part I'm happy with where this is at. Will likely tweak this endlessly before I call it done, but I think it's at a good point to share! As always, any impressions or thoughts are appreciated!
  7. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sa9c9l88ea8e51b/Old%20King%20Coal-Train.wav?dl=0 Original: I think I've done what I could with mixing and the composition (though I think I might vary the piano chords in a future revision). I would like feedback and suggestions, and those on mixing would be particularly helpful.

  10. Track i recently dropped celebrating the Japanese release of the new Dragon Ball Z movie 'Resurrection F.' If your familiar with the English DBZ soundtrack, you'll probably recognize the sample . Check it out and let me know what you think. https://soundcloud.com/aramis616/aramis-super-saiyan-god
  11. Hey everyone! I am proud to present the first track of my EP "Keep Moving Forward", Square Like Pixels! This is a chiptune cover of Jeff Williams' original Red Like Roses which was part of the OST to the hit show RWBY. I am releasing "Keep Moving Forward" which will include the three other trailer tracks alongside a GoFundMe to help support Sheena (Monty's widow) in her time of need. Please check out the music and my page to keep up with what is going on. Thank you and all the best! https://soundcloud.com/nana-saves-popo/square-like-pixels Edit: Also now on Youtube for your listening pleasure! https://www.facebook.com/NanaSavesPopo Twitter @NanaSavesPopo

  13. Hello there i posted some tracks a few years back and i respect that those were a bit to poor, I have since tried to improve my style and somehow after playing a lot of Doom. I created this tune which reminds of the Old Midi Dos Soundtrack and not the heavily used and i guess preferred Metal sounds. I am mostly a Electronic artist so my ways of enjoying music is by hearing all sort of Synthesizer music. Descent Midi soundtrack to Dos is highly regarded a favorite from that period also in my book. i wish i could make that soundtrack justice one day and return the favor by adding my own style to it.. but alas that is yet to come. I hope you will spare a few moments to just check this track out. i am still learning but i been trying to produce music for 9 years now and i can't say i have any feelings to stop doing it. https://soundcloud.com/catscratchz/imps-returning-a-new-doom-is Thank you very much.
  14. The remix: https://soundcloud.com/trace_on/chrono-trigger-corridors-of-time-traceon-remix The source: Any feedback is appreciated, I was counting it as done but it will be interesting to see what other people think!

  16. https://youtu.be/pOnJgWO8MBY Hey all, here's the latest, a mostly electronic cover of Within The Giant. I was thinking TRON/Oblivion when dialing in the sounds.
  17. VIDEO HERE: My primary goal was to capture the feel of the original. I stayed fairly close to the source material, but with every iteration, I let it build a bit beyond where the original song went. Hope you enjoy it!
  18. hmm....So I know it's pronounced Sherbet, but I'm still gonna keep calling it Sherbert. Ok now that's out of the way, here's one Ive been holding out on even asking how it sounds. Funny thing is, I made this one while in Florida, back in January. So, this is done, but I'm probably going to edit out some parts...maybe finish up the "Race" towards the end, but the main body is for all intents done. Let me have it... ( if the Google Drive link is causing trouble let me know and I'll Soundcloud this one) Original- Remix- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B80H6SsEW90wbkhLZkY3em1rN1k/view?usp=sharing
  19. HOLA! I took a request from a guy on twitter (DeucesWildMedia) to remix Kirby's Dreamland 3. This is what I came up with so far in a Jazz Fusion style, with some hefty influence from (with supah bass playa Jaco Pastorius) while combining the style I used in a previously posted OC ReMix belonging to Chimpazilla and I. Apparently "Flower Garden" from Yoshi Touch & Go fit rather well so I put it in too. Thought I'd let you guys take a look rather than work on it in private =P Feel free to chime in with any suggestions. I'm thinking of incorporating a drum solo after this, then maybe I'll taper off the dynamics and slowly build it back up, using some notes and ideas from the first breakdown section. 20. Hey everyone, I recently finished a recording of this simple (but beautiful) tune from FF4, I'd love to hear what you think of it.
  21. https://soundcloud.com/mikedeweese/when-paradise-burns This track is part of a science fiction story I've been wanting to write. The scene is basically: A group of main characters must flee a planet's imminent destruction when it's parent star unexpectedly goes supernova. I attempted to combine orchestral with some electronic elements into a film-score-cue-esque track, hoping to evoke feelings of chaos, panic, and the need to hurry. This is very much inspired by "The Real Man" from the Cowboy Bebop OST ( ) where unsettling and harsh orchestral sounds are combined with a Drum and Bass beat. First time listening to that track made me very Anyway, hope you enjoy!
  22. Hello again, I know I might be a bit greedy posting two threads so frequently but this is one I definitely could use some help on this one, I was a bit sceptical the idea would work but for the most part i think its gone pretty well. However I'm not sure the intro is completely there and a t times the guitar sounds a bit off although I only noticed once i started mixing. Its at minus 6 so you might want to turn it up Thanks for the feedback, agree with it! Sadly my hard drive died last night and that had the project folder, i think I've got a backup, will take me some time to get back to it though Thanks for listening
  23. https://soundcloud.com/hoboka/leavingchristmas-mass-effect-3 This didn't even make it to the J panel on grounds that it was lacking in direction. Can I get a better explanation of how the direction didn't work?
  24. Just checking in and letting people know I'm still around. It's been a long time. I haven't posted on ocremix in years. If anyone's interested, I recently finished 2 arrangements: a Lemmings 2 medieval track that I started years ago, and a short mix of the password theme from Golvellius. Lemmings 2 Golvellius I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things and arrange more tracks soon.
