So this went up through the JP and got mixed reviews, so I've revamped the worked considerably and now want to work on it alongside of any input the Workshop can offer. The track is intended to be an island/salsa/easy listening jam. There are some elements of tango in there as well. This is still rough of course. I feel like I have a solid foundation down. There will be acoustic guitar worked in as the final instrumentation is completed. Mixing has only been done to the extent of making things generally sit in the mix. Nothing creative yet. Nonetheless I thought, "It's ready for the workshop!" I'd love to get some feedback on direction, overall feel, and if anyone is diggin' the concept thus far. All criticism is totally welcome. Another 80s-influenced track. Originally meant to be a collaboration, I decided I'd finish the track myself. My vocals were really powerful here, and it really worked with the production I used. Prayer

This is a remix of the FFVII Crisis Core song "The Price of Freedom" I made waayyyy back in 2011. Yeah, it was kinda lost in my backup harddrives and it took me a while to find it again. Free download link is given in the description. https://soundcloud.com/bluewolfie/ffvii-the-price-of-freedom-remix I kept the basic chord progression the same but changed around the melody here and there. I guess it kinda has an ethnic feel to it with the plucked instruments and strings. I guess my mixing kinda sucked back then. Listening to it now, it sounds a bit overcompressed, probably a bit too sharp in the high end and muddy in the low end.. But anyway, Let me know your thoughts and I hope ya'll enjoy it as it was an awesome song and was great fun to remix it! -

Hey, youngprodigy here. I recently composed a song called "Short Funky Loop". As the title of the song states; it's a short and funky loop. If I had to classify it; I would call it jazz-funk. Just finished up another track from Final Fantasy VI. I'm working towards remastering/Remixing/Covering the whole album. How much I change depends on the track, and for this one I added a bunch of new contrapuntal lines to the melody.
