  1. Hiya everyone! This is an arrangement for full Orchestra and Chorus centring on Mipha from Legend of Zelda - Breath of The Wild. This piece explores the intimate and tragic connection between Link and Mipha, the Zora's Champion. Mipha is linked unavoidably with the Divine Beast Vah Ruta by virtue of being the Zora Champion and along with the other Champions and Divine Beasts, assists Link in his journey to bring down the Calamity Ganon once and for all. The intimate past between Link and Mipha was cut short by Mipha's death at the hands of Waterblight Ganon, and upon the defeat of the lat
  2. Hi Everybody! Here's a new piece; quite a popular piece from Link's Awakening, so Idunno how this version might be received. I was going for a "filmscore-esque" arrangement in this piece, and the use of the strings and brass playing the melody I think went very well.
  3. This is a piece I composed with Wassup Thunder. And yes, it is another Song of Storms. The intent was to explore the source material liberally and make a somewhat memorable arrangement. Still working on better production with synthesizers, so any tips are appreciated. Thanks for listening! The original, just in case.
  4. Hey everybody! I've just completed a new orchestral arrangement. It's a Battle Medley from a number of Legend of Zelda games. It contains music from Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time. The piece is a collection of music from Boss Battles, including a climax to the big Ganondorf fight, with some other incidental music thrown in to provide transitions. It was made with Sibelius 7 and NotePerformer. Please enjoy!
  5. I started working on this remix a few months ago, been on ice since then until this weekend. Damn it was a long time ago I could finish a song in just 2 days. So what do you think? Would it be something for the OCR community? Everyone loves the Zelda melodies, right? <3 //Glejs
  6. Hi everyone; newest remix here. I've tried to make the strings sound a bit more natural in this one, hence the hiatus in trying to get it just right, but aside from the sound, I devoted this piece to exploring and developing only a couple of thematic ideals; primarily Zelda's Lullaby. It's a Fantasia for Full Orchestra and Chorus, which contains material from a few of the Game Soundtracks in the LoZ series. I explored the different ways the Lullaby could be orchestrated and manipulated in terms of mood, timbre and contrapuntal manipulation, not just on its own, but with other themes
  7. Hello OCRemix. Long time lurker first time 'account maker and subsequent forum poster'. Here is my remix for youuuu <3 From the first time I played Links Awakening this particular track always stuck in my head and I would find myself humming it for hours after playing. So naturally to torment myself further, I decided to use my production powers for evil and give it a remix. Thought I should tag this under Work in progress so as to not rock the boat with only just signing up to the forums to post this here. I worry its a little too derivative overall but its definitely a
  8. Hey everybody - new piece here! This is an arrangement for full Orchestra, and it's entitled "All my Friends". It contains music from a few different game soundtracks in the LoZ Series, namely the themes of some of the more memorable characters: Saria and Sheik from Ocarina of Time, Midna from Twilight Princess, Linebeck from Phantom Hourglass, and Sidon from Breath of the Wild. The piece begins with a hazy chord from the strings, over which the melodies of the themes used are played together by the woodwind instruments. The piece is a slow, meditative arrangement, reflecting on the
  9. Hiya everybody, hope you all had a good New Year! Posting my third upload here - It's a meditative Orchestral Arrangement of the Song of Healing from Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask. The link to the Soundcloud page is below. Tried to make some changes to the sound in this piece, especially in the strings. Brass sounds a bit too artificially bright, but then that's NotePerformer. Will be putting it through a Sample Library when I get one connected to my Kontakt!
  10. Hi there everyone. I'm relatively new to the forums; only been here for just over a week now, but I wanted to provide a little background to some of my music, hence the post here. Around this time last year, I was contracted to write some music for the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses Concert. I managed this by contacting the Producers and showing them what I could provide by creating a piece of music which I had written solely for this purpose. The piece in question is a Symphonic Poem for a full Orchestra, entitled "The Creation of Hyrule". It is based upon the music a
  11. Hi Everyone. This is my second post in this particular forum. Owing to the sheer size of this piece and the number of soundtracks and tunes used in it, I very much doubt this piece will ever be considered for use in OCR by the Judges if submitted, but I wanted to post it here and tell you a little about it. This work is a Symphonic Poem for a full Orchestra, entitled "The Creation of Hyrule". It is based upon the music and Soundtracks of several games in the Legend of Zelda Series, and was inspired, in part, by the music of the Symphony of the Goddesses Concert. In May 2013,
  12. Hello Everyone! As I'm new to this forum, I'd like to start off by posting here something I've recently completed. It's an Orchestral Arrangement of Lake Floria from Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword. Being a classically trained composer, not a mixer, I don't really know if this is the best place to share this kind of music, but as a musician who has orchestrated and provided music for the SotG Concert, I'd like to share some of what I have done/am doing. The link to the Soundcloud page is below. If it's popular, I will post more in the future.
  13. If Link from Legend of Zelda wrote a love track about Princess Zelda, this would be it! The song is called "Give Me Your Heart Piece" and is about the beauty of Princess Zelda from Link’s perspective. The song is rapped/sung on a hip hop version of the “Great Fairy Fountain” beat created by me and lyrics by me. Give me your heart piece! Hope you enjoy! I have submitted this hopefully its good enough! Listen Here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwSM9LzCGW0BeGJyNFRVbHd1azQ Instrumental: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwSM9LzCGW0BR3ZKY2JMalJ0NDA
  14. So this is an original song but definitely game related. I created the Fairy Fountain beat into hip hop form (from scratch) and have put vocals on it. The vocals are about Princess Zelda from the perspective of Link. If Link was to write a love song about Princess Zelda, this would be it! This is only a rough draft, and yes I put some autotune on my vocals. Please any and all feedback would be nice. I will be submitting this to OCRemix https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwSM9LzCGW0BMndYOWhEcmk0ZGs
  15. Time for a 4th teaser of my VGM remix (or covers, whatever you want to call it ^^) album! CAN I GET SOME ZELDA LOVE? Please subscribe to my YT channel, muchos gracias guys!
  16. Hey guys, first time poster here! I've recently made a remix to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. One of my favorite games I played growing up. I'd love your feedback and opinion on the track! I hope to be around here more often <3 Much love, -Z
  17. Basically a piano rendition of Great Fairy Fountain where I took some of the motifs and structures of Chopin and combined it with the melody of the original song.
  18. This is it: Our final demo track is a tribute to the man who composed your childhood, Koji Kondo, with a medley of different pieces from various stages of his career. I am sure you will get the songs featured, right? We tried to approach the jazzy feel of his orchestrations by having our tribute in a similar overall feel, that we hope pleases your ear: Please leave feedback and like and share our FB page to expect more cover versions soon: www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband/ Rock On, RemCit
  19. Don't know if this counts as an actual game remix, but you never know if the background to the newest Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Trailer is going to be part of the OST... anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this piano cover I made of it
  20. Ok so this is the official debut of my group The Travelers, a supergroup of some amazing musicians and arrangers (including the likes of Doug Perry, Mklachu, Jordan Chin, Ian Martyn, just to name a few) who play Euro-folk arrangements of game music. I had the pleasure of being able to arrange Kokiri Forest into an Irish Jig style and to feature my awesome group The Travelers. I combine Traditional Irish music with what most would call modern, contemporary Irish styles (kind of like you hear from Mumford and Sons). Anyway, I really would love feedback on the piece from all of your great remixer
  21. Legend of Zelda fans in here? Check out the Hip Hop remix to the Deku Tree song from Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time! Enjoy! If your interested, I have a bunch of video game music remixes on my youtube page ORIGINAL: MY VERSION:
  22. Hi everyone, this is the work in progress that I've been focusing on mainly for the past month or so. I've taken the palace theme from Zelda II (known more widely as the Hyrule Temple theme from Super Smash Bros Melee) and the Hyrule Castle theme from Link to the Past and created a heavy surf rock remix focusing mainly on the Zelda II palace theme. My biggest concern is the production of the recordings, such as whether I've EQed my instruments in a way that you can hear them all, whether one instrument's volume is too low, etc. Feedback on drums is welcome as well, as this is the first time th
