  1. Hello, Never had published an original song in this community, but there's always a first time! I've been hearing a lot spacedance thanks to a friend remixer. Koto, Laserdance, Droids, amazing music! now every time I try to make music, almost always ends up in this style. This song is not finished and just a few hours invested in it, but I liked many of the ideas and will probably continue to develop them. What do you think? http://www.mediafire.com/file/yjmkkdhimnd/Showroom_Dummy-Pluton_Orbit.mp3 (Used google translate, sorry!)
  2. Link, as of 4/18/10. I'm taking a short break from this piece 'til summer rolls around, since I'm finding myself with less free time. I like having long, lazy afternoons to devote to this, since I'm the kind of person that likes to get loads done all at once, rather than in fragments. I appreciate all of the suggestions and I'll continue to check back here every so often to see if there are any new ideas or comments. Here's the source material in the order it appears: Sprout - Tin - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZlc09MoxPk Olivine Lighthouse - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mpkCAmfb7Q Burned -
  3. Okay, I know Daft Punk used a talk box most of the time with Korg hardware, but still, u can't go wrong with a Vocoder! I wanted to make something really epic and awesome sounding... But I just gave up, and have another half-finished song/brainfart here....http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/WiKiD/music/all/play828269
  4. Okay, I'm new here... This is a song I made as a remix of Sonic the Hedgehog 2's boss theme. It is a bit slower, and it has added parts to it (such as an extra guitar part). The ending isn't as good as I wanted it to be, but I'll continue to work on it. This is in the alpha stage for now, so other things will eventually be done to make it better. http://rapidshare.com/files/383233289/Robotnik_Surprise__alpha_.mp3 Please tell me what you think!
  5. Hello everyone, this is my first time posting a WIP, so I have no idea how this works. Anyways, I've been working on a piano arrangement of the song Earth Painting from Legend of Mana, and would really like some feedback. It's currently only a minute and a half, and right now I'm just using a random piano VST, but if you could let me know what you think, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! EDIT: Uploaded a newer version. Still nowhere near finished (It's actually shorter than it used to be :S), but I've added a lot, so I'd love to hear what you think. Click here to listen to Earth Painting Demo.mp3
  6. this isn't really a song i am working on, just a test of my keyboard skills. i've never played until now so it may not be that good so please tell me how i can improve. thanx http://www.tindeck.com/listen/qjoy
  7. This is something I messed around with for a few hours, but it ended up sounding pretty good imo. I usually produce Progessive House, but for this, I decided to try a Rap/Hip Hop beat, although it ended up sounding more breakbeat. I think I have everything down pretty good except the leads which I'm never good at. Give it a listen and tell me what you think. http://emora.cjb.net/music/symphonicdub.mp3
  8. I noticed no one has done this song yet, which confuses me since it's such a catchy tune So i started throwing this together. Let me know what you think, it's a work in progress, and all constructive criticism is encouraged, welcomed, and appreciated. Also, I return the favor
  9. so i'm back w/ another attempt at EDM, this time ripping off a bit of moonbeam, a bit of deadmau5...i like the main idea to this, but i've hit a bit of a wall as far as ideas on how it should be paced and so on. i think i'd like there to be a break between the first melody and the second, the second being the sort of climax of the track. any thoughts? swampy v1

  12. Greetings all, I have been working on a Symphonic JRock/Metal track called Far Away. Heavily inspired by Stream Of Passion, Symphony X, X Japan, Versailles, Nightwish etc. This is going to be part of my solo album project which I intend to release commercially some time next year, however this is going to be a free download after release. I have not completed much as of yet but I am willing to share with you guys what I have done so far. Current version, intro basically complete, just need to touch up on adding more orchestration and acoustic guitar: http://www.box.net/shared/dp8pgb8il0 Previous version(scrapped): http://www.box.net/shared/7v5eur33i5 Software used: Sonar 8.5 Producer, Garritan Personal Orchestra, Dimension Pro. Feedback/criticism welcome .

  16. This is my work-in-progress of "Natural Killer Cyborg" from Mother 3. It is pretty much only the backing track. I still don't have the guitar and bass parts recorded yet. I can't record them until I get a my Pod XT Live (recording device.) The drum track, and synth stuff is finished though. http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?fid=755 I feel like something about the EQ needs improvement, but I don't know what it is. EDIT: Here is the source.
  17. My latest remix I've been working on, and it is indeed another FFVIII track (I've been playing through it again recently so i'm a bit addicted to its music) Upoaded through tindeck this time because soundcloud seem to be pretty pants. Let me know what you think, it also has a bit of The Landing in there. Thanks! (oh and the source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUu2olqwZ8s)
  18. Sources: Demonic Timbre Final Cry (bassline only, so far) WIP: Click here This is fairly unpolished at the moment, but I wanted to see how others felt about the arrangement and basic concept. Too similar? Not enough variation? Needs more instrumental depth? Throw whatever you can think at it, I could use all the feedback I can get.
  19. This is my first every game remix. This is a remix of the stage one music of Bomberman 2 for the NES. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me about this mix. Source: - 25 seconds into that videoFor reference, here is a slightly older version of the song
  20. May be in progress or finished maybe something can be wrong there ^^ here is the one : Edit: http://www.mediafire.com/?mogtezx55yy (some change, i think it's better) let me know what you think
  21. This is my first post on OCRemix, so bear with me as I'm learning the ropes of posting here. Anywho, I was bored and whipped up this little rendition of the original Norfair theme from Metroid (NES). This joint doesn't get as much play as it deserves, compared to the Super Metroid version (still great though). So with that in mind, here ya go Original version: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/327199 P.S. Yeah....I went there (referring to the title )
  22. Hey! I'm new here. Been a little scared of posting here, what with all the *really* talented people. I started making my own remixes over a year ago now, and formed a three-piece band dedicated to it with two of my VGM loving friends. We've always been based in a rock sound, sometimes experimenting with other genres. I finally got the courage to post some of my work here. I made this back in September of this year, a solo effort including transposing the notes from the original song. Guitars, bass, piano, drums, synth choir. http://www.mediafire.com/?ttmmmyuk3y2 I really want to hear what people think of it! I'm quite proud of it myself, though its more of a cover than a remix. Any suggestions are, of course, more than welcome. :]
  23. Remember this? http://www.box.net/shared/y0pzv72tm1 Well I decided that using one of my originals wasn't going to cut it, so I closed down shop for a while, and worked on more originals. I recently decided to give it another shot, but instead of using one of my originals, I would build it up from scratch, using some newly acquired techniques from here. So here it is so far: http://www.box.net/shared/4kk58j75aq INITIAL POST: The build up. It's kind of unfinished, but I will get to everything else in time. For one, I need a crash cymbal, as well as a closed hat, and bass. As well as some other things. EDIT 1: Nearly done the buildup. Still can't find a cymbal I like. I think this sounds loads better than the old version already. Any problems I should fix so far? EDIT 2: STILL no cymbal, but I have some of the main melody in. Slow going now because I need to think this carefully. EDIT 3: More of the main melody. The strings repeat because I have not yet edited them, heh I hope eventually to submit this as an OCReMix.
  24. Did this joint a while back, but only half of it. Got around to completing it. As I've stated before, I prefer arrangements to all-out remixes, so this should be faithful to the original and fresh enough for your ears. I added the pianos and strings in for a little more emotional weight. I mean, it's the frickin' Doomsday Zone. So hopefully I captured that mood alright on this joint. Hope you guys enjoy it! Constructive criticism is APPRECIATED http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/327072
  25. Not the best title.... but I couldn't find another one. So.... I hope you're all cool with Youtube HD! .. For better quality.... I guess....
