Nutritious Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Is there really 2 more weeks left for this project? bLiNd and I just noticed you guys had a FFIV project going on and we didn't even know! I'm sure all the tracks are taken, but bLiNd is interested to be apart of it. Maybe he can do a megamix or something.... Well, this means for existing WIPs, they have to be complete by Nov 1st. It's not the final project completion date. I'm sure OA would love to have him on the project.

OceansAndrew Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 There will most definitely be some new open tracks on the first. Once I know how things are going to pan out, i'll pm both of you the updated track list.
prophetik music Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 update of mine is on the forums...i think it's pretty much done. let me know, guys!
OceansAndrew Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 A few more completed tracks! We now have 20 finished! That is pretty awesome, and I know that i'll be getting several more beautiful and completed tracks this week.
Jenz Drake Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Well, now I am more excited about this project being complete. I am near the end of Final Fantasy IV on the Nintendo DS... and I won't spoil it, but man... it's the best FF remake there is. They added something towards the end that will blow you away and impress you. All of you need to play it and beat it.
K.B. Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 You guys are awesome! This is my favorite game of all time and I am simply ecstatic to hear you all are remixing the soundtrack. I hope to hear lots of harp. Oh - and brass! And, and... ok, I'll stop and leave the remixing calls to those with talent, actually doing the remixes. If anyone's still interested about versions... between the SNES, PS1, and Famicom (the original 'hardtype' one) versions, play the Famicom one - there's an excellent fan translation out there, plus it has the challenge and a few other small bits that were taken out of the SNES version. Look for FF4, not FF2. Just trying so save you all from buying the PS1 version thinking it was the hardtype version (not even close) or an accurate translation (it's better than the SNES's, but the fan translation is best, IMO). I haven't played the other versions... Jade, what's this added bit at the end of the DS version you're talking about? Think it's on YouTube? Anyway, thanks ahead of time everyone for your work on this album. This is gonna be sweet! Oh, and fair to say someone really likes Rydia? Haha... album art picture >> 16-bit sprite. Or perhaps I was just too young back then...

Or perhaps I was just too young back then... hehehe... you're funny. Rydia and Edge are my favorite characters so woohoo! hehe I've played all versions and I think the DS one is the best. I beat the game yesterday. I looked for it at youtube.com on Monday to show Jordan.. I added it to my favorites, but the user deleted it. Sorry! If you wanna know what it is, I can tell you.
OceansAndrew Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 i've been working towards the end of FF4 DS. I just got edge in my party, so i'm kindof far from the end. XD
Abadoss Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I'm pretty well near the end of the SNES version, but I needed to stop and clone some Excaliburs, so I haven't really gone any further... the fun of grind...
Jenz Drake Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 i've been working towards the end of FF4 DS. I just got edge in my party, so i'm kindof far from the end. XD Kooliez.... let me know what you think after the giant. hehe
Thin Crust Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 HEY!!! No one told me Cecil would go back to level 1!
OceansAndrew Posted November 1, 2008 Author Posted November 1, 2008 i think he did in the old version too in retrospect; I was surprised too, but c'est la vie. I just put him in the back row for a few fights while he got powered back up. Updated the tracklist up front. The WIPs that are still upare the ones who have either contacted me, or ones I haven't heard from yet.
Abadoss Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 HEY!!! No one told me Cecil would go back to level 1! Yup. He catches up pretty quickly, though...
Thin Crust Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Yup. He catches up pretty quickly, though... Yea, I beat a weak enemy and he went up 4 levels. So far, I've got him back to 15.
Incronaut Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 it looks so hard to keep a project alive...
Jenz Drake Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 thanks OA, can't wait until Jordan starts on the WIP for Within the Giant. I really love that track. =)
Abadoss Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 it looks so hard to keep a project alive... It is. This is probably the most alive one I've been in. It's also the fastest moving one, too.
Jenz Drake Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 It is. This is probably the most alive one I've been in. It's also the fastest moving one, too. yeah i agree.
Nekofrog Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Hey... progress is being made on our track, we're just not ready to show it yet
K.B. Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 hehehe... you're funny. Rydia and Edge are my favorite characters so woohoo! hehe I've played all versions and I think the DS one is the best. Can you PM me then? Thanks!
Mirby Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 DS version is cool. Leveled everyone up to 99, the annihilated Zeromus with Slow and physical attacks (after stealing the Dark Matter of course). Finally got 9999 on Rydia's Mathemagical Minute too. Great version. Also, this looks epic. Great album art (Rydia is hot as usual) and can't wait. Deadline's approachin', people!
Sole Signal Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I'd like to claim Fight 2. It may be a few weeks until I have a WIP for it, though (around Thanksgiving break).
