Ginnsu Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Chrono Trigger 'Spekkio Beach Party' All of you Chrono Trigger lovers, this is where it’s at. This is one of those ones you just can’t miss. Take that little kooky character Spekkio with all his wonderful quarks and tricks, throw in some jungle toms, maracas, clap your hands and have yourself a beach party. This mix is plenty more then just worth the download; a party should indeed be thrown to honour it. Quote
BigDRS Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 This mix is definately one to save and listen to during your vacation this summer to the Bahamas. The bass was rockin, the bells were rockin, everything is great. A great tune, although not a top tune, still a great one. Quote
PhantomMagi Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 Ahh... this mix is probably one of my favourites. I like the whole 'Hawiian' feel to it. It makes me want to live on a small undiscovered island in the pacific... But hey, thats just me. Quote
Dinobot 2 Posted August 18, 2002 Posted August 18, 2002 This is one of my fav Chrono Trigger mixes Iv'e heard on the Internet. Encore!! Quote
Deryck Khusial Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 wheee. this tune always reminded me of The Lion King, a fine movie if i do say so myself. the uber-cheerful vibe’s contagious. i can’t help but smile. the smooth guitar lead’s the best part, very catchy Quote
thediabeticknight Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Delightful Spekkio!!! Wow! You don't know how happy I am to hear a remix of this song!! It's so HAPPY and GOOFY!!!! hahaha Very very nice ambient feel in the beginning and then going into a happy melody that makes you want to get up and dance! This song is an instant favorite for me and should be for all other lovers of Chrono Trigger! Wow, can't get enough of this song! -The Diabetic Knight Quote
schwagnah Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I really liked this one. The tropical feel sounded so good. I could listen to this all day and not be tired of it. This mix puts me in a great mood, and I feel like I can do anything when I hear this. Great job Spekkio! 9.5/10 Quote
Souly Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 *loves this mix* This is one that makes you happy just by listening to it. Ya! *adds to playlist* Quote
Bummer Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 For making pancakes, this guy really knows how to party. WOOO! Quote
Trapical Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 I love tropical(see name), and I love Spekkio's theme. The mix seemingly made just for me :0 Truly awesome job. Quote
DragonFireKai Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 A great song, just a little too short. But don't let that discourage you. Quote
Superrpgman Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I find the first 10 seconds slightly annoying, but the rest of the remix is pretty good. Would make decent town music if the author perhaps were to rework it. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 When it starts, i'm ready for the final countdown, but it changes pretty quickly to a party vibe. I love the lead synth, but don't think it completely fits with the tropical party vibe. I think having a backing synth would help mix things together a bit more cohesively, and there are some sound effects here and there that somewhat fit the bill, but they only really occur at transitions. Source-wise I dig it, my computer class in high school used to crank this song up every day to get motivated. Even now I get motivated from it. Motivated to DANCE ON THE BEACH!! YEAHHH!!! Quote
Marmiduke Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Noone could accuse this mix of being subtle. It grasps the tropical cliche and just strangles it for every bit of life it has in it. Thankfully, there is plenty of life in the music to show for it. It's hard to hate anything that sounds so energetic and joyous. It just sounds like a musician having a lot of fun making music, and I really dig that. Not anything to really ponder over; if you want to sit and reflect it would be wise to look elsewhere. But for something that encapsulates the fun and festivities of a saure or a shindig, it's will be difficult to top this. Quote
WesternZypher Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 :sniff: I miss me my pancakey goodness. Ah...memories. Doesn't it make you want to go to the beach and eat pancakes in the warm sun? Quote
