KyleJCrb Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Understandable. So long as people let us know of their pre-existing obligations, we can work with them on it. By the way, happy birthday Walan!
Sir_NutS Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Greetings I won't be able to post WIP as soon as I thought but I will surely bring one up before the deadline that proposed. As some people who know me from PRC I tend to dissappear due to schedule in work. Just so you know if you don't find me for a few days, I am not leaving the project I am just out of town . Keep up the great work so far and pardon the bad english .
KyleJCrb Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 You write better English than most people on the internet, so don't worry about it, SD. News is a little slow right now, but I'm hoping we can get China and/or Kenya filled here shortly!
Arcana Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Did someone claim the China track already, Kyle? It was removed from the Download directory.
KyleJCrb Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 It's tentative, but I can give a 90% yes on that. No reason why you couldn't take it on as well though, if you're interested. Just send me a WIP, yo.
Arcana Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 I might take a shot at it, but don't put me down unless I send you a WIP. My skills are really really rusty.
Murmeli Walan Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 3/31/09: Newcomer DJ Mokram is taking Team China. Holy crap, only Team Kenya is unclaimed?! ...yeah, what Kyle said.
KyleJCrb Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Since progress is coming along nicely, I've decided to release a preview of the upcoming songs you'll hear on the Around the World project. Enjoy!
KyleJCrb Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 DCT has taken Team Kenya. All tracks have officially claimed! On another note, the guys at 8-Bit Instrumental are looking for MIDIs of the Ending and Credits themes. Both me and them have searched all over and can't seem to dig up any, so is there anyone out there who might be willing to transcribe these tracks to MIDI? I went the NSF2MIDI route, but obviously those sound pretty awful, so something better would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Murmeli Walan Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 4/5/09: DCT has taken Team Kenya! You what that means? Every track on the album has been claimed! This has never, ever happened before in this way-too-long history of this album! Congratulations to everybody! First WIP deadline on the 18th!
Murmeli Walan Posted April 13, 2009 Author Posted April 13, 2009 4/12/09: Kyle's podcast, Nitro Game Injection, has returned! Head on over to KNGI.org and hear Kyle and Larry Oji speak about AtW!
KyleJCrb Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 WIPs due tomorrow! Where do folks stand currently?
prophetik music Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 lol. avaris and i leave, and immediately this project gets back off the ground. if dct falls through, and this project actually looks like it'll happen, let me know and i might be convinced to rejoin my track with the project. just to boost the drama.
KyleJCrb Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Yeah, I thought about PMing you guys to get back on board, but the tracklist actually filled surprisingly fast. I figured if you guys did get interested again, you'd come back. However, we won't turn away multiple remixes of the same song. So if you want to jump back in, by all means please do.
prophetik music Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 you might not mind it, but i don't want to be compared, particularly on a smaller remix project. if he drops, i'm in - else, it's his ballgame. i'd think shaun is on the same boat, but you should ask him.
KyleJCrb Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 It's your call, but the entire project already has comparison competition in this, so what's it matter?
KyleJCrb Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Alright, the WIP due date has past! I'm pretty happy with the turnout actually: Even though I didn't get something from everyone, things are looking to be progressing along well. For those who sent me tracks, I'll be looking into the WIPs and giving you feedback soon, and they will be posted over at the forums (or you can do it yourself) for other project remixers to give feedback on. For those who didn't send anything yet, I'll be talking to you soon.
KyleJCrb Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Former AtW remix "Breakbeat Market" is now posted onto OCR. 'tis hot!
KyleJCrb Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I'm sending out feedback on the WIPs I've gotten so far. If I miss you just let me know!
