Super Dodge Ball: Around the World - History

Recommended Posts

Sounds great. You know, Andy Jayne was only an artist from PRC when he joined the project. I've got no problem at all with showcasing new remixers in the project. Put a wip together, and let's see what you can do. :)

If I recall correctly, my track was actually only slightly different to the version I did for PRC back in the day.

Alright, since things are moving forward and progression in happening nicely with this project, Walan and I have decided to set up a WIP due date. This date will be:

April 18th, 2009

If you have not given a WIP to myself or Walan already, or if it has been an extended amount of time since your last one, I will be contacting you. If you are looking feedback on your work, you can register at http://kngi.org/forum/, and I will grant you access to the private ATW sections where other musicians and the directors from the project can offer critique and advice.

Not sure if I'm going to make that deadline... I'm going on a study tour next week and won't be back untill the 22nd (I'll finally visit the US). So unless I can whop up something this weekend, I won't be making any WIPs untill the end of April.

Understandable. So long as people let us know of their pre-existing obligations, we can work with them on it.

By the way, happy birthday Walan!

Greetings

I won't be able to post WIP as soon as I thought but I will surely bring one up before the deadline that proposed. As some people who know me from PRC I tend to dissappear due to schedule in work.

Just so you know if you don't find me for a few days, I am not leaving the project I am just out of town :).

Keep up the great work so far and pardon the bad english :).

You write better English than most people on the internet, so don't worry about it, SD.

News is a little slow right now, but I'm hoping we can get China and/or Kenya filled here shortly!

It's tentative, but I can give a 90% yes on that. No reason why you couldn't take it on as well though, if you're interested. Just send me a WIP, yo.

Since progress is coming along nicely, I've decided to release a preview of the upcoming songs you'll hear on the Around the World project. Enjoy!

DCT has taken Team Kenya. All tracks have officially claimed!

On another note, the guys at 8-Bit Instrumental are looking for MIDIs of the Ending and Credits themes. Both me and them have searched all over and can't seem to dig up any, so is there anyone out there who might be willing to transcribe these tracks to MIDI? I went the NSF2MIDI route, but obviously those sound pretty awful, so something better would be much appreciated. Thanks!

4/5/09: DCT has taken Team Kenya! You what that means? Every track on the album has been claimed! This has never, ever happened before in this way-too-long history of this album! Congratulations to everybody! First WIP deadline on the 18th!

lol. avaris and i leave, and immediately this project gets back off the ground.

if dct falls through, and this project actually looks like it'll happen, let me know and i might be convinced to rejoin my track with the project. just to boost the drama.

Yeah, I thought about PMing you guys to get back on board, but the tracklist actually filled surprisingly fast. I figured if you guys did get interested again, you'd come back. :-P

However, we won't turn away multiple remixes of the same song. So if you want to jump back in, by all means please do.

you might not mind it, but i don't want to be compared, particularly on a smaller remix project. if he drops, i'm in - else, it's his ballgame.

i'd think shaun is on the same boat, but you should ask him.

Alright, the WIP due date has past! I'm pretty happy with the turnout actually: Even though I didn't get something from everyone, things are looking to be progressing along well. For those who sent me tracks, I'll be looking into the WIPs and giving you feedback soon, and they will be posted over at the forums (or you can do it yourself) for other project remixers to give feedback on.

For those who didn't send anything yet, I'll be talking to you soon.
